Placed in a quiet street with a good amount of parking spaces. Good access to the beach, artisan shops and a couple of cafes too. A 15 minute walk to Gorey harbour was great with a good number of quality eateries for lunch and dinner. Rooms were clean, linens beautifully fresh and facilities good, including a very welcome tea and coffee station. Shower had great water pressure. Good breakfast selection including continental and full English.

We all liked the property very much and would absolutely stay again. There was nothing to dislike at all. We were told there was a large TV lounge available but we didn’t venture beyond the lobby as there were no signs indicating where to go. One of the lovely hotel staff showed us on our second evening and made us feel very comfortable. We also found a roof terrace by accident, but we had not been made aware of it and there were no signs as far we could tell. A hotel information leaflet for the rooms with a plan of the building would be really helpful for guests.

Staff were exceptional. Hotel was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was awesome! Scenery was really really nice and public transport was easy to use too. We were on Motorbikes too though and it didn't take long to circumvent the island. But still very nice. Also great facilities if you wanted to take your own food back.

It was noisy, they had guests who were clearly unwell and would start coughing really loudly during the night (usually about 04:30 most nights) and there was a party on one of the nights so between that not going quiet until about 02:00 and then the coughing at 04:30 I spent most of the break being really tired (and then, fair to say, grumpy). That was the only negative thing about this awesome Island. As I said the staff and facilities were really friendly. No food available in the evenings though so either the two (very nice and close) takeaways or a short walk to the quayside where there are lots of restaurants.

The location is great and the family who look after you are absolute stars.Tasty, hot, English breakfast is delicious and your every need is catered for. Just a lovely, personal space to unwind.

There's little to dislike- Ive stayed here 4 times now, so I am happy there. If youre looking for action, it doesn't happen here. If you're looking for tranquility and a family feel, then its for you. Gorey is a lovely place to unwind and explore. Excellent bus service close by, and amazing fish n chips! Pubs, restaurants and a castle watching over the harbour.

Excellent location of hotel in Gorey, 5 minute walk to beach, close to shops, take aways and resaurants and on very near bus stop. Lovely room which was cleaned daily, water and towels replenished and car parking facilities. Very well run hotel. Great breakfasts served daily. Even a dining room where we were able to take food back to heat up, with all cutlery and crockery supplied. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the very friendly staff and management of this hotel. I would deifinitely use this hotel again. We had a lovely experience in Jersey, made all the better by our stay at the Mainson Gorey hotel.

No dislikes at all !

Very friendly and helpful staff, always going the extra mile. Room clean and bright. Great ensuite with piping hot water. Wifi now extended to more distant rooms. Continental and cooked breakfast included. Access to TV room, conference room and dining room with microwave - convenient if you want to bring in take out food. Can walk easily to center of Gorey with castle, a good selection of restaurants, shops and other amenities and picturesque harbor. A perfect destination for us.

Great location, really friendly staff, super clean. Rooms visited and cleaned every day, towels changed, tea and coffee re-stocked, free water replenished daily in the fridge. Fabulous buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, both hot and cold. Fabulous walk-in shower. Great price compared to similar establishments on the island.

The only downside for us was the lack of air-conditioning; it was very warm in the night. It wouldn't put us off visiting again though (in fact this was our second visit).

The location of the hotel is perfect.if you have a car-there is parking, if you use buses, the bus station is 2 min walk from the hotel. The staff is very helpful and nice. The hotel is beautiful, in a small neighbourhood. There is a place to eat just down the street in the old bank hotel, a minimarket and fish &chips 5 min from the hotel The room is loveley, the bed very comfortable, and the shower as PERFECT! WATER PRESSURE &TEMP. sooo good. If i could, i've taking it with me. There is a beach 5 min walk and the town is 15 min walk

The breakfast was not up to the level of the hotel

I needed an early start for work and was told nothing is too much trouble the ched let me.come in early and get some cereal 🥣. Really, really nice bloke. Came and spoke to me.on Saturday and Sunday when I had more time. The staff made this so pleasant, I had already booked another hotel for the week after but I am really sorry I am going. I wish I had booked this for two weeks. I will definitely return. Beautiful part of the island soooooo much better than st. helier Spacious room. 3 or 4 mins walk to Gorey beach. 10mins walk to Gorey pier. Plenty of food shops, chippy.

Nothing to dislike.

We have stayed here 3 times over the past few years. Unfortunately this time, it seemed to have gone downhill slightly. On arrival no real warm welcome, just a few comments about breakfast and then shown to our room. Room was adequate, although bed was quite hard, but that’s just our personal preference. Bathroom and shower ok. Poor wi-fi. We couldn’t get parked on any of the 3 nights we were there, so had to park locally. Breakfast was reasonable, but the same each day. I have to compliment the chef as he was constantly coming out and checking the hot food buffet and topping up. Also the 2 ladies waiting were very good, clearing away plates etc and topping up coffee. Good restaurants 10 minutes walk away. On departing hotel, nobody to check you out on reception.

Reception. It is always nice to get a warm and friendly welcome with information given. Also this applies to your departure too. Customer service is so important.

The hotel is lovely and spotlessly clean . The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very nice and plenty of it. A variety of foods were available. Tea making facilities were always available in our room. I liked the location, the hotel is off the main road and very quiet. There is a nice big dining room where you can eat takeaways etc, and a comfy lounge with a tv . Also a games room . The sea is within a short walking distance of the hotel but not in view from the hotel.

Whilst we knew before we went that there is no bar or restaurant at the Hotel, there was no space at all to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful sunshine and that was a big shame. For that reason alone we would sadly not stay there again.
