Great location for seeing central Vienna. My room faced an inner courtyard so was very quiet. Comfortable bed but I struggle with a single duvet! Reception desk staff always helpful. Good sized bathroom with decent bath. Shower worked well. All very clean. I was visiting family nearby so was out a lot.

All the furniture in my room looked very tired with plenty of scratches and chips, but it did its job. Bathroom toiletries were minimal. I stayed 4 nights and had breakfast twice. 1st occasion there was a good buffet with plenty of choice. The next day there was no buffet and a limited selection of pre-plated meats and cheese, some bread rolls and some tomatoes, a few other bits but very dull. I know there weren't many guests but it was definitely not worth the €22 they charged. I'd recommend taking breakfast elsewhere. Plenty of great cafes around.

The location suited us really well - very easy walk to the museum quarter, also on the edge of a slightly cooler neighbourhood. Very good cafes / bars / restos nearby. The hotel was very quiet because it was early January, but the staff were really friendly and the room very comfortable (beds extra comfy). Like everywhere in Vienna, the interior was really warm so even though it was very cold outside, the hotel is cosy. The decor of the rooms was fun, with little 'theatre' style touches everywhere. We were also lucky to be upgraded slightly. Staff were very friendly. Guests can use the pool table and that was a really nice addition.

The breakfast was somewhat minimal, but it had everything you need - some nice yoghurt, good cheese and meat selection, good coffee.

Location of the hotel is perfect, close to everything. The staff were helpful with all the questions we had. Breakfast was tasty, you can choose from different varieties of food. We can only recommend this hotel.

There was only one downside. It was parking. The location of the parking house was a bit far away and also system which supposed to open the door and ramp for cars registered in hotel was not working. So we had to pay extra. When we ask about that, stuff were trying to resolve the issue but unfortunately they could not. But they promise we are going to get difference in a price. (Refund)

Our stay was fantastic. The staff at the reception was always smiling and helpful, and we were even able to have an early check-in. It’s very important to communicate your estimated arrival time so that they can properly help you have a comfortable stay from the start. The breakfast was great, you have a large variety of savory choices, and breakfast time is extended on weekends. The cleaning staff was very polite, unlike most hotels nobody knocks on your door at a certain time in the morning, you just have to leave the sign to clean up the room when you exit if you want it fixed. We left our luggage at the reception on our check-out day, which was very handy. The hotel is close to the Rathaus and most touristic attractions, if you don’t want to walk there (takes about 5-10 min) you have the tram line n. 2 but we enjoyed our morning walk through the Volksgarten to get to the historical center. You have a Spar and several cafés and restaurants nearby for when you need a quick fix. You will also find water in the minibar and a coffee machine with capsules in the room.

Not a big fan of carpeted floors, I think for their next renovation they should get rid of that and add some bathroom shelves in the shower because your soaps and shampoos will just stay on the floor. Also the breakfast lacked sweet options for those who prefer croissants and cakes in the morning - we don’t, but if you are looking for that type of breakfast then you need to get it somewhere else and not at the hotel. On a personal note I would have loved to find a boiler and some tea next to the coffee machine because we prefer tea/herbal tea over coffee.

Position was great, the inner centre of Vienna was in walking distance. Lots of supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops and transport options around. The room was small but clean and comfortable, it looked like recently renovated. It also had its own style thanks to the theatre theme. Staff was nice and quick to respond.

Although the hotel was still fairly quiet in the time I spent there, you could say that soundproofing of the rooms could be improved.

Great hotel within a 5-7 minute walking distance from the Rathaus and the Parliament. There are two supermarkets nearby, a Spar Gourmet 2 minutes away and a Billa 5 min away. There are s-bahn stops 2 minutes away and the metro stations are 15 minutes away. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and pubs around Josefstadt to choose from. The property is completely step-free from the pavement outside and there is a lift. There is free storage of luggage in the hotel too. My girlfriend and I stayed there for 8 nights in total. The staff, particularly the receptionists were very kind and helpful, truly putting the needs of the guests first. It turned out that our initial room, albeit vintage and charming, was facing the street and quite a bit of noise was coming from it. And since we were staying for over a week in Vienna, we asked whether a change of room could be possible. Not only did they offer us a new room, but they also offered a superior apartment, which was nicer and more spacious! It was a really kind gesture, which I'll always remember.

There aren't many negative things to be said, but some constructive criticism goes a long way. Some rooms, particularly those facing the road could use better soundproofing on the windows. For the apartments, a microwave oven would be very convenient, especially for longer stays. I also loved how we got new coffee capsules with each cleaning!

Very pristinely cleaned and updated hotel. It was very quiet and the bed and linen were extremely comfortable. Shower gel and shampoo were provided. Location was really good, around 7 mins walk to the Christmas Market! There is a grocery store close by (around 2 mins walk) and multiple nice stores around. The hotel staff was wonderful and welcoming, they recommended places to eat, visit and they helped us with booking a private taxi to and from the airport. They were in communication with us even before our arrival.

I loved Vienna and the location of the hotel, close to the Rathaus. The staff were exceptionally nice. Everyone so polite and helpful - reception staff, breakfast staff and cleaners. Cleaning service was very good. Breakfast was delicious.

Room was old and needs refurbishing. Cracked tiles, water in the sink does not drain properly. There was no air conditioning. That should be corrected in booking.com, because I was specifically looking for facilities with aircon. At least their classic rooms do not have that. I am used to higher standard facilities for this price. Visiting Vienna again soon I will look for something more renovated.

the hotels in a great location ,coffee shops bars all located just a 5 min walk ..we took the number 2 tram right into the center 4 stops and got it home later ..Reception staff Sabrina and Sarah were excellent very helpful..breakfast was pricey so didnt take it 19 euros each it that was nearly 100 euros for 5 of us ..we went out foe coffee and croissants.. would definitely, recomend ,my room was a superior which had a bedroomand a sitting room with a sofa bed but we were only 2 travellers but great if you were taking a teenager with you ,, arranged a taxi to pick us pat 6,30am together to airport taxi ontime and very helpful ..very good hotel

It had a lovely bar area but no Bar in that area the drinks would come from an area in the kitchen ..just felt if they had a bar i would have sat and had a pre drink before going out then maybe a nightcap, but the others felt that your in Vienna togggo out and eat and drink so i guess so, they still had a bar just not in the lounge area ..

Great Position, close to tram 2 and U2. Just Behind the Rathaus, parlament and the volksgarten. The hotel room are spacious and clean, the staff is very polite and helpful. The breakfast is not huge, but it offers everthing for every taste and it is good. The sound insulation is also good, the noise form the street is completely removed once the windows are closed.
