It’s very cozy, for me felt like home away from home. Travelling so far away from home, this house and its hosts made me feel welcomed and comfortable. It’s located very close to the center but away from the noise and busy streets. Has a big supermarket around the corner and great food/restaurants open. Then, as a tourist, you can pick up location of Cordis hotel for drop offs/pick up, takes 5 min by Uber. Kerri the live in host has been friendly, helpful, flexible and overall made the stay an amazing experience. Thank you!

I enjoyed the whole stay.

This small character hotel has a lovely atmosphere. It is run by three women, all of whom are very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a larger room, which was most welcome. There's a lovely communal room and deck at the rear. A serve-yourself breakfast bar provides good options for $15. The feeling it gives is of being in someone's home. Shops and restaurants are nearby, and bus services into the city too. The summit of Mount Eden itself is well worth a visit, within walking distance. A very enjoyable stay a bit away form the crowds and bustle of the city centre, but still within easy access.

Minor complaint: as with many older places, there aren't enough power points for devices!

I’ve stayed here before and it’s always been comfortable, great location and good facilities. There are new owners but fortunately they haven’t changed the comfortable beds!

The last owners were very hands on and welcoming, we didn’t interact with anyone for the majority of our stay (but did receive help from the night manager) so it was more hands off. Self check in was easy but it was a very different vibe to last time, also not a fan of the new modern furniture pieces in the room but I can see why they’ve been added. Would still stay again!

The absolute stand out best thing about staying here was the staff - in particular, Kerry made us feel so welcome. We live in Aotearoa NZ, but I think this would be a wonderful base for overseas visitors who wanted a warm, friendly base for adventures in Auckland. Very sunny room with a balcony, lots of parking, comfortable bed, good kitchen and fridge if you want to prepare your own food.

The shower was okay rather than great, and there was no airconditioner in the room. Also, there are unavoidable stairs.

Really kind owner/host -so easy to talk with; she upgraded our room to be more spacious just from the kindness of her heart; very clean and comfortable; you can use kitchen to cook own food; fridge for guests to put their food in; windows opened in room for air; fresh flowers in room and bathroom; soft towels; quiet local neighborhood; easy to walk to restaurants and grocery store; laundromat nearby; we felt right at home

Shower space is small; low water pressure in shower; difficult to get water at a good temperature in shower - changed quickly from scalding hot to too cold; sometimes could hear other guests through walls

We loved the hands-on service and location of this lovely B&B! We would go back and stay in a second. For our first time in Auckland and in NZ, this was the perfect place to ease into our trip. Carrie gave lovely recommendations and advice about getting around the city and it was only a ten minute walk to Eden Park Stadium. It’s also a short walk to Mt. Eden and the Mount Eden neighborhood as well as the Countdown supermarket and other cafes and coffee shops in Eden Valley. We loved being able to walk everywhere or take the extremely clean and reliable Auckland bus system.

Nothing—it was a lovely stay and I would recommend it highly for the perfect location and excellent service.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bavaria Boutique Hotel. Warm and comfortable, like home away from home. close to shops, restaurants etc. Good recommendations given. Kerri welcomed us in, looked after us with great care & attention to detail...lovely friendly wee chats... and farewelled us as we left. We will return andl & would definitely recommend Bavaria Boutique Hotel to anyone.

This is a great old home and our lovely room was decorated to suit age of home. There was an additional spacious guest lounge and kitchen and garden access. Very quiet location yet easy walk to supermarket and restaurants. The staff were wonderful - Very accommodating and attentive and obviously love the house. Lots of parking. Comfy bed. Free WIFI. The fresh floral arrangements were gorgeous.

Shower cubicle is quite small and water pressure is low - but still enough to wash and rinse hair OK

The hotel is in a pleasant, quiet part of the city in a very convenient location both for local amenities and for reaching the city centre. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable; some have character features and some look out onto the small but attractive garden. It was also useful to have the use of the small kitchen to prepare our own simple meals when we didn't want to eat out. What will stand out most for us in our memory of staying at the Bavaria Boutique Hotel is the exceptionally warm and friendly welcome we received from the staff. They made us feel very much at home after our long journey from the UK and were very attentive to all our needs throughout our stay.

The breakfast was adequate but it would make a huge difference to guests' experience (at relatively little cost to the owners) if it could include fresh bread/rolls and fresh fruit.

I liked the hotell and room design. The staff Kerri ,Erica and Lynn were lovely people. Well suited to their role and helped me sort out 2 medical issues. Kerri walked to local pharmacy and bought me antihista9mine tablets and calamine after liaising with the pharmacist. .

The shower was basic and temperature fluctuated when other guests used cold water. So had to be careful. Shower design needs built in non slip base with thermostat control to prevent temperature fluctuations.
