Location, clean and comfortable. The beds are very nice and soft and large sized. Great air con / heat pump units to supply the rooms. We had two single room units side by side.

It would be hard to specify something we didn’t like. It had all the facilities we needed for our stay. No drop box for key cards at our 6am departure. We just left them on reception bench. This isn’t a negative just some feedback for the motel. Unfortunately we fell for a booking . com scam through this booking we received what looked like a legit email from this motel via booking . com re this accommodation. Just FYI for travellers it’s very scary how easy scammers can access motels databases and undertake scam emails

The kindness, service and wonderful facilities meant that my mum, Lucy was well taken care of and while I was in having my bilateral mastectomy and reconstructive surgery for my breast cancer, while down the road at the amazing Brightside Hospital. We cannot speak more highly of Alexander Inn, where our sleep was peaceful, the room super comfy, roomy and clean and the service and care was more than we could have wished for. Great location we could see Westfield shopping mall from our room 23. Easy to access on and off the motorway. 6mins to AKL hospital. I walk away is a sushi shop & dairy. Located on a one way street. Great value for money. Kitchenette in room 23 had an oven and small fridge. Complimentary shampoo etc and daily milk. Daily housekeeping. Under building open car park FREE with limited spaces. Elevator from reception up to your rooms between level 1-3 & hotel like corridors to access your room. Swipe card access. Corridors are very hot in summer. The beds were the best most comfortable beds ever. Very clean and tidy. Hair dryer, ironing board, toaster, jug, microwave and cooking utensils available.

No self service laundry only a leave your washing at reception and get it returned 24hrs last for $10 a small bag. Reception were requesting a photo on my drivers licence and credit card to allow for after hours check in after 8pm that my bank recommended against. Be cautious of this request. And check in instead of supping a copy of your card and ID.

It was in a very good position for shopping and hospital visits. The room was very quiet! Facilities very good. Wifi excellent and free. Parking good We got an upgrade to a bigger room, which was appreciated. The reception was friendly

There is NO luggage trolley at all!! I had to go back and forward to the room 5 times in oder to bring our luggage from the car to the room at later back to the car. My husband is handicapped and I also can’t carry much. Please OWNER get a luggage trolley. Not everyone is young and strong

We stayed here after flying in from the UK. As our flight arrived at 03.55 we wanted somewhere close to the airport with parking. Alexander Inn is about a 20-minute easy drive from the airport. Because of our very early flight, we booked the previous night as well as the day we arrived in order to have immediate access to the room. Having told the hotel this, we were sent clear instructions about the coded box in which we found a letter telling us where our room was and how to get in the building and a room key. The whole process was seamless and easy. The room was clean, well appointed, and all we needed for a 2 night stay. After a few hours of sleep, reception was then open, so we introduced ourselves to a very pleasent lady who was very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is close to Mount Eden, so we walked up to get the panoramic views of Auckland. A great start to our trip. This is probably a little far out from the centre of the city, but it is highly recommended if you are looking for a quick stop on arrival. There was a small milk in the fridge and tea and coffee in the room, which was very much appreciated.

If staying for more than a few days, you may find the rooms a little small and the only cooking facility is a microwave and kettle, no hob or oven. Not really a problem for us, but worth bearing in mind. Everything else was excellent.

Excellent location : within 5 minutes walking distance to Newmarket mall, main shopping area and public transport. Very clean and tidy large room and bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed and handy kitchenette. Very helpful and friendly staff. Delicious biscuits on the reception counter, and free parking for guests. Would highly recommend staying at Alexander Inn.

I always stay here with my children when I travel to Auckland, it's clean, the staff are friendly, beds are comfortable, it has kitchen facilities, free car park and is in a convenient central city location - walking distance from the big Newmarket Westfield Shopping mall.

Hard to think of anything - perhaps an extractor fan in the bathroom to help remove steam after a shower, though there is a window.

The Alexander Inn was well located for our needs. It was quite and the room was more than adequate, very clean and comfortable. There was adequate parking and there were tasty complimentary treats available at reception which were not expected. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. We would stay there again.

Our room was a little on the smaller size, but this was not a big issue as we were out most of the time. If we were staying longer and wanting to prepare meals, would suggest the larger rooms which had full cooking facilities.

Good location if you are using a car and visiting areas out of the main city centre. Small hotel easy parking and near entrance to reception with lift, for us great as in a wheelchair. There is a special disabled unit or the executive suite was very spacious for a scooter. Well presented, clean and comfy beds. About an eight minute drive to End Park Stadium through residential roads so easy to access and rail stations access there too.

Comfy beds, great room space and good kitchen. Under building free carpark. We had a seperate 1 bedroom with TV and heat pump in each bed area. They allowed us to check in after hours as we’ve stayed here previously.

The pressure of the shower was intermittent. Like standing outside on a rainy windy day. I don’t like that they like to take pictures of ur credit card even though paid prior in full. Is this legal?
