Newmarket is an excellent location to stay in Auckland and the Quest is really well located in the area. The apartments are well appointed with everything you need to function like home; and the advantage of good restaurants etc right nearby. If you need public transport, Newmarket is a hub. The staff were all so helpful and friendly - I was impressed with each person on site. Housekeeping were always giving us fresh towels! I ran around the Domain which is close by if you like todos run or walk. Archies is the pub next door and they did the best risotto! It was always very busy. I’d stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend. There are lots of interesting shops etc along with the big Westfield Shopping Centre so you can buy whatever you want and within an easy walk back to your apartment .

There is no need for the balcony - don’t book an apartment for that. When you open the big doors up it can be a little noisy from all the restaurants and bars across the road. In saying that, it was lovely having the fresh air every morning !

The underground carpark at $20 per night was well worth the convenience. The room was spacious and the beds were luxurious. We had access to Netflix and every home comfort we needed, including the washer and dryer and cleaning supplies. Location was perfect for accessing Auckland North, West and South!

The aircon unit was placed by the door so didn't quite reach the master bedroom and my husband found this to be very warm and uncomfortable for someone who likes to be cool while they sleep. I am more comfortable being warmer so this didn't bother me.

The location was really good for me, as I was accompanied by a toddler. Close to parks and an indoor soft play. Transport links were excellent and we were also only 10 mins from a big Westfield shopping centre. There were various restaurants on our door step and a 30min bus ride from Potters Park which has a splash park my son loved. When I go back to Auckland I will be staying at Quest Newmarket again. Couldn’t have been happier. And thank you to the lovely staff.

There is a restaurant/ bar opposite hotel which gets a little loud at the weekends but that’s not the fault of the hotel.

Cleanliness of room each day was outstanding. Also staff after hours were kind enough to help with my luggage as lift was out of order when I arrived and I have health isswhich made carrying suitcases up stairs impossible. So great marks for customer service

The hotel recommended using a shuttle bus service from airport. This cost me double what an Uber would and took over an hour due to the number of drop off points, meaning I missed reception being open and the ability to feel I could safely go out at night for food in a place I’d not been before. I wouldn’t continue to promote the bus service if I was quest

The location was great and the vibe was very welcoming and friendly. The huge balcony was great as were the kitchen facilities

The dryer stopped working which was tricky so a new machine is needed. There was track work on the railroad during the night which woke us up so sound proofing is suggested. There was a security light outside, above the door to the balcony which bled into our room. It couldn’t be switched off. The knives could be sharper.

Fantastic location. 10mins into town (NZD$10 uber). Right in heart of Newmarket so close for shopping, supermarket, pubs/restaurants, public transport (which we didn't need). Great sized apartment with all the modern comforts-good condition. Quiet location.

Bar stools at the kitchen bench instead of a dining table. Stools were uncomfortable but we managed. Wouldn't stop me staying again but wouldn't be practical for some (small children, older guests)

*water spills over the corner edge of the bath onto floor when showering, even with a shower curtain *sheets need replacing, they were a bit thin and pilled

Soundproofing walls and windows and it's a quiet area of Auckland . Eateries all around within 1 minute walk. Many more within 5 mins. Central to the city and Parnell. An easy short walk to the domain/museum/art gallery. Easy to find and have secure parking for only $20 a night. Decks off the rooms for outdoor option. Kitchen well supplied. Nice flowing soap in the bathroom.

Shower over the bath. Just not a fan of old baths and shower combo.

The location was amazing! Just seconds away from restaurants across the street and minutes from shops. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke to you, no matter how many times they've seen you that day. The room was cute and quaint. The ammenties of the room made you feel like you were at home, not a hotel. We felt right at home. The cleaning staff freshens the room every day. The washer/dryer was such a help. I washed before we left and saved me the trouble for when I got home. They provide the detergent, but no fabric softener. Luckily, I brought my own.

I didn't like that we arrived at 6:45am and the staff didn't arrive until 8am. We had to wait outside in the cold. That may have been poor planning on my part. We had a king-size bed. In room 403, the right side was lumpy and uneven. I had to sleep closet to the window under my husband to get comfortable. The mattress needs to be changed. There wasn't much storage for your clothes. The closet only had 5-6 hangers.

Perfect location with bars, restaurants, shopping and train station all within walking distance. Just out if the city for a quieter stay, but still with everything you need. Rooms are clean and tidy, the kitchenette makes it great for a longer stay.

Parking wasn't available for us at the time - my fault, I didn't prebook a park but parked straight across the road at the Wilson Parking - was safe and secure and cost $10 for the night which was great!!.
