A 15 minute walk from the Britomart train station and main bus stops. A 10 minute walk to the Strand train station. The building is a nicely restored old train station converted into hotel rooms and rental apartments. The studio was large with very high ceilings and original windows. There's a guest laundry room in the building and a restaurant in the lobby.
It feels recently renovated but the furnishings are more shabby than chic. It's a bit far off from the City Centre and there's nothing nearby, except the arena next door. Hope you love the sound of trains because you can hear them squeaking along the tracks behind the building at all hours.

I had a fantastic stay here! The location is excellent—just a 15 to 20-minute walk to the CBD, which made exploring the city super convenient. The foyer and entrance are absolutely stunning, with a grand design that made me feel like I’d stepped onto the set of a 1930s Agatha Christie film. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my stay, especially the afternoon manager, Visak, who went out of his way to assist with a couple of minor issues—much appreciated! The room was spacious enough to roll out a yoga mat comfortably, and the kitchenette was thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed for a short stay. Best of all, I had the most restful sleep in the large, quiet room with a huge, cozy king bed. Highly recommend!
No negatives comments from me!

*Location: woolworths/shops/chemist/restaurants eg 800metres nice walk and right next door to spark arena eg 15metres approx. *Great shower * bathroom toiletries *2nd accommodation with great bed and pillows. Suited our one night stay. * crazy cool mini bar in fridge reasonable pricing * good kitchenette set up and coffee/tea provided. .
*. Wardrobe doors challenge to open as carpet to thick. If they raise it off the floor a tad. The rating would be higher. * bathroom cleaning suspicious. Dirty used bath towel behind door. * like a rabbit borrow/maze.

As we arrived early, we were able to get one of the affordable parking spaces directly in front of the entrance. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. We could leave our luggage until check-in. Later the staff helped us to bring it into the room, and in the evening we were even lent some dishes at reception so that we could use the common kitchen. The room and the bathroom were newly renovated, modern and spacious. The way to the room led through an impressive former railway station concourse. It was a pleasant atmosphere, as the building is also home to permanent residents.
Although the room was large and renovated, it was dark and kind of uncozy due to its location on the ground floor and its long shape. The small window was at the end of the room over the bed and we heard the trains passing nearby (during the night there were not many). We therefore didn't like staying in the room for long. But it wasn't necessary as we were only there two nights before a flight and spend the day outside. Overall value for money was excellent.

Proximity to Spark Arena for concert I was attending. Upgraded to king studio and given discount for genius level. Lots to see and do in the vicinity. Comfortable clean bed. Very helpful staff checked me in and showed me to my studio. Great heater in the room.
Although the room was clean overall, there were lots of crumbs etc on the floor next to the mini fridge and the cleaners had obviously not cleaned that bit for some time. Inside the fridge was clean, as were bench, microwave, table. The dining chair covers looked a bit old and stained and need replacing.

The room was larger than expected. Great facilities in the room for a short 1 night stay. There's microwave, fridge, sink, utensils, plate, bowl cups and what not. Hangers and ironing board with iron provided too. Have some teas, coffee and hot chocolate provide too. Bathrooms have toilets and towels. Looks like they also do long term stay arrangements, very convenient in City centre and relatively near eateries and grocery stores. Building facade looks amazing with a strong historical and cultural background. Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Not say don't like, but if you are not used to being beside the train station, you can hear the trains going on late at night and early in the morning. Not an issue to me as there are curtains etc to block out the sounds, almost like white noise.

I love the location of this property, my room as always was spacious. Ivy goes out of her way to make sure I get the room I like and if it’s not available, she will give me the next best thing. I have been staying at the grand central serviced apartments since 2019, I don’t stay anywhere else. It is great location, excellent prices and the staff are amazing. I encountered to new staff this time, the first was the amazing night manager who checked me in and the 2nd was the early guy who starts at 10. They are both as polite and efficient as Ivy is. I now have a flat room rate I pay no matter what the season as they offer a mates rates discount for frequent returning guest Grand Central Serviced Apartments A+ once again and Ivy and team i wiil c u all in November for my birthday stay Thank you

The location was ideal for our trip. Was very close to venues and City life. Finding out there was a kitchen to cook food I don't remember reading about that when I booked The shower had lovely pressure and water was always hot. The Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Room 135. The little step into the bathroom should be painted on the floor, we all stubbed our toes before we saw a warning sign on the wall. The wardrobe was difficult to get in, the TV reception played up an the one window we could open had rubbish along the side of the building.

Very good value for money. We arrived at 10.30 at night, having been unable to let them know our situation and the staff could not have been more understanding. The apartments were clean, and had everything supplied that one finds in any hotel. If you are looking for cheap accommodation for one or two nights in Auckland, I would recommend these apartments. Remember that it is a converted railway station so there are long corridors with concrete floors which echo, unlike a modern building.
The situation is within walking g distance of the CBD and an area opposite the apartments attracted a group of skateboarders who were very loud late at night. Noise can not be kept out of such an old building so we were just unlucky on the Saturday night!
