We stayed in the Ambassador Suite. It was very spacious, with a large lounge, dining table, small kitchen, comfy king bed and a large bathroom. The unit was clean and overlooked a swimming pool and had views over a lagoon. The property is located 25 minutes drive from the airport, but with easy access to Auckland CBD. Sylvia Park Mall is 15 minutes walk away. The staff were friendly and helpful and responded promptly and effectively to our requests.

The kitchen fridge froze all our food; staff came to adjust the temperature and our food was replaced. We reported a faulty power outlet; this was out of our way and we asked that it be fixed after we left. While we enjoyed our stay, the room was a bit tired - kitchen drwers out of alignment and cupboard doors in the lounge that did not close properly.

The fact that there was a restaurant on the property

Both Friday and Saturday nights, we're a very busy night for the restaurant due to booked function, which was amazing to witness. However, the people who attended these functions absolutely blocked the door entrance between the bar and restaurant, which made it very difficult for a big guy such as myself to get into the restaurant, so I waited not to be rude for at least 8 - 10 minutes before the people moved can there be some considerations for the people staying in the Hotel going for dinner too!

Great in-house restaurant. Had dinner there the first night, breakfast 2 mornings and a celebration dinner for 19 on the Saturday night. Was great to be able to do all of this in-house. Comfortable room, warm, decent sized bathroom. Handy to Sylvia Park Shopping Centre and the motorway for travelling in and out of the city. Lovely having such easy access to the Panmure Lagoon Path.

View of carpark from room. Pressure in shower wasn't great. Constant hum in the building though you did get used to it. Fire alarm went off when I was in the shower and I didn't hear it until I came out into the main room. Made it downstairs in time to see everyone coming back in. Lucky it was only a drill. No decaf coffee.

Value for money. Quiet, spacious room. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Elevators or stairs for accessing all floors. Onsite restaurant and bar. Room service available. Vending machine on ground floor. Pool, spa and gym available. Breakfast buffet had a variety to suit all tastes. Panmure Basin basically at your doorstep, to not only view but to wander around. Close to Sylvia Park shopping mall. Recommend this hotel.

Don't think I got anything as such, very impressed with the hotel overall. What I would note is even thought the Bureau Twin has 2x queen beds and says it sleeps 4, it does and it doesn't - it can sleep 2x adults and 2x children or 3x adults but you can't have 4x adults, they cite fire safety regulations for the reason. Believe 4 adults would be fine and wouldn't crowd the room or be uncomfortable nor be an issue any different to a 2A & 2C situation personally, but understand the rule in place.

Room size, view, great location. Booked ahead, the presidential option is a nice big room with a great view. Food was standard for a mid range hotel. no complaints, in fact good value and good servings. As expected for the price point. Nice deep end pool if you're travelling with kids. easy parking and checkin.

A few wee maintenance issues let down what would have been an otherwise higher rated stay- couch in the best room was very stained- we got sheets to cover it, and carpet was wet after heavy rain under 1 window. All the rest was fine, and comfortable. We would stay again, conference centre etc all good, couch stains really should have been addressed by the cleaners prior.

Location is excellent, comfortable and quiet and great value for money. Always feels spacious - in the room and in the public areas.

Some staff were very indifferent - particularly the bar and restaurant. Reception staff are always excellent and friendly. For the third time in a row, breakfast had run out of key items - this is very disappointing because it isn't cheap. the explanation from staff was 'we have been very busy'. This isn't good enough - we arrived well before 9am and no items from the buffet should have run out in our opinion.

Loved having a bath in our room. The view in our room faced the water and we loved the location. (Close to Pakuranga night markets on Saturday and movies etc.) Comfy beds and pillow. Air con worked well when we checked in. Biscuits to go with our coffee was a nice touch. Lots of towels (hand towels, bath mats and flannels). Checkout was fast.

The customer service during check in. Only the cleaning staff smiled at us, front desk people weren't welcoming at all. Small tight parking. Small TV. Air con started leaking in the morning when we turned it on. Only 1 small rubbish bin for whole room was in the bathroom.

Always a comfy stay here. Kids enjoy the pool. We had a nice view of the water from the 3rd floor.

On check in, the service was disappointing. The lady checking us in was rude and unwelcoming The people prior to us received the same unfriendliness. A bus load of elderly people arrived and a few of them were asking her questions and she was very short and rude to them and rolled her eyes. Seemed like it was an effort for her to answer their questions When she served myself and son, she was very short and rude also. The way she asked for payment was rude to the point that my 11yr old commented.
