Clean, tidy, nice location, great car parking, nice view. A sentimental stay as we stayed here while we did our IVF process at the fertility clinic nearby. This stay was the first stay with our son since he was born with the help of the fertility clinic. We will probably always comes to this hotel for our Wellington trips

We have stayed a few times and it’s always been good. The last time was amazing as we had a nice room with an eastern view. This time it was very loud which made it hard for us and our son to sleep through the night. We also requested a cot over a month ago and we didn’t get one, but that’s okay as it was mentioned that it could only be provided if it was available. We also chose Eco room service and didn’t receive the voucher that they said we’d get. No big deal, we either like no service or a light service when we stay away anyway.

The hotel looks unappealing from outside, but the inside was a pleasant surprise. My room had a lovely view from the 26th floor down the Terrace and across to the Hutt Valley, and it was spacious and comfortable. The snack platter and pre-dinner tea and biscuits delivery were nice touches. Brand new bathroom was very nice too. Lifts down to Lambton Quay were very handy.

It would be nice if the Harbour View lounge served alcoholic drinks in the evening for people wanting to enjoy the stunning views, along with cheese and crackers maybe? I couldn't get the heating or the apps on the TV to work, but that was a minor detail. The man who checked me in didn't come across very welcoming, but the guy next to him seemed very pleasant and friendly.

Excellent location. An internal lift takes you to Lambton Quay without having to navigate things. Our room was a bit older (original) but clean, functional and tidy and all that jazz. The housekeeping staff were very sweet. There is no microwave or cutlery/crockery however there is a kettle, fridge and mugs. Lots of power outlets. Reception helped me with an international phone call and scissors. The ten dollar eco room service credit needs to be used for one meal only and can't be lumped with a second credit. You also pay up front and the hotel will credit you. I had a wise card so they also took a $300 refundable bond that came back within a few hours of my checking out.

Just needs lamps for the bed as the downright are very bright. Hair-dryer was a bit gutless.

Room was fabulous with a semi view over the waterfront. Staff were always helpful and friendly. Absolutely brilliant location as straight down to Lampton Quay and across the road for starbucks. Buses right on the doorstep of Lampton Quay, short stroll to the waterfront. Great selection of restaurants.

Initial room had a large air conditioning unit outside the window blocking any view and was very noisy overnight. Talked to the hotel staff the next morning and were moved immediately. They were very understanding and accommodating.

We had an amazing two-day stay! The hotel is conveniently located close to everything: the cable car, the waterfront, New World food store, and plenty of restaurants. Our room was spacious, bright, and impeccably clean. It was equipped with an electric kettle, fridge, and microwave, which made our stay even more comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and both check-in and check-out were a breeze. The breakfast offered a wide variety of options, including gluten-free choices, which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this hotel for its location, cleanliness, and outstanding service!

The parking is conveniently located in the building but we have to pay for it.

Fantastic location. Hotel elevator drops you right on Lambton Quay at a main bus stop. Easy walk to many points of interest. Fast food, grocery, restaurants, shops right at your fingertips. Rooms were clean. Bed/pillows was super comfy with decent linens on them. Easy parking on location. Friendly staff. Large window letting in lots of natural light. Fantastic value for money. Really ticked all the boxes. Would definitely stay again.

Little bit of traffic noise if you're a light sleeper, but you are in the city center. Noise didn't affect us at all and totally worth the trade off to have a large window in your room.

The room was very neat. Had a bath/shower that I like. The bed was comfy. It had a small kitchen area where you can make coffee and a small fridge. There was also a gym area. We had the buffet for breakfast and it was very nice. The children liked it as well. Area is also good. Also, save undercover parking that you pay for. Very nice hotel.

The only thing is parking for when you arrive to book in. There is only space on the side for about 3 cars and then you have to go book in to get your card to go and park. When we arrived there was no parking on the side available. My husband had to double park while I ran in to book us in. Would also be nice if there are milk in the fridge. There are coffee and tea and sugar, but no milk. Besides that it is a really nice place to stay and good value for money.

Another fabulous stay - James cook hotel Is the only hotel I stay at now. I always feel so welcomed, it’s in a fantastic location and has everything you need. Woken up hungry, just head to floor 17 The breakfast buffet is delicious. The executive suits are clean, tidy and super comfortable. House keeping do a great job while your out and about ensuring everything is ready for your return.

Normal I would say this isn’t applicable, but our group did say we wish the rooms had information packs. About hotel facilities etc, dinner menus, local recommendations etc. usually you can access some of this on the TV but apparently down for maintenance? Although our tv kept losing signal so may just have been ours. Another recommendation for rooms would be a option for a microwave or bottle warmer. This came up as usually I would have my toddler with me and reflected that people with children still requiring bottles may run into difficulties.

The location is excellent. So close to everything. It was just an elevator’s away from all the shops , restaurants, food. No need to have breakfast in the hotel cos all the cafes McDonald and sushi shops are just downstairs. Plus Woolworth supermarket is very close by too. Walking to waterfront about 10-13 mins to visit te papa tongarewa museum in Wellington. The beds are very comfy and our rooms are just new renovated so very clean. The staff Frank is very happy and easy to communicate and very helpful ! We have a very pleasant stay in this hotel.

The new shower’s glass screen doesn’t stop the water to spray everywhere so the bathroom floor gets so wet 😆

Staff were helpful and professional and friendly. Fantastic location and what a fantastic idea to have a lift to Lambton Quay. Carpark is easy to access which ensures confidence to explore if you are not used to driving in Wellington. Great stay. Antipodes products in the bathroom are lovely.

We were in the old rooms, there is minimal electrical sockets and none by the bed. (Perhaps take a multi box) Elevators took a bit to conquer but got there in the end. I also booked 5 months ahead and did not get to take advantage of the free parking deal that was on for new bookings.
