Excellent location in a very safe and convenient area. Love the breakfast buffet with lots of selections including sparkeling wine! friendly frontdest staff. Room big and clean, with high ceiling.

Bathroom design is not very friendly to elders. Bathroom, shower room, and bathtub, all designed with no handles at side, and floor could be quite slippery when wet.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Their responsiveness to every request was truly impressive—nothing was too much trouble, and everything was handled with warmth and professionalism. The team was genuinely kind, making us feel welcome and well cared for throughout our stay. On top of that, the hotel is perfectly located, placing us within easy reach of all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. It was the ideal base for exploring the area. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-notch service and unbeatable convenience!

The location was close to Rossio railway station and the Metro was one of the main reasons I booked the Bessa Hotel. The hotel is modern, very comfortable, the staff are very friendly and I enjoyed an excellent dinner here and drinks in the bar - an easy experience for a solo traveller. The breakfast options were very good and staff very attentive. My room was very comfortable; wonderful bed and pillows. I used the gym, nice set up and with some much natural light and great views.

I tried using the sauna and hamman - both were cool - there might not be a high demand as this was January.

The location was super convenient! We were able to walk to a number of key areas and the metro was only a couple blocks away. We also found the staff to be exceptional. They truly went above and beyond throughout our stay. After walking the hilly city, we took advantage of the amenities (the sauna, a massage and the restaurant), all of which were great! The rooms were comfortable and bigger than we would have expected in Europe. And the shower was an absolute dream!

Our biggest complaint was around the pillows. They left a bit to be desired but that is a bit of a personal preference.

The room had a fantastic view on Av de Liberdade but there was no noice issues at all. The room was gorgeous with high ceilings and a fantastic bathroom. Beds were comfortable. A welcoming drink was offered. The breakfast was very good with a good choice of both sweet and savoury items, very good juices and fruits. One could also get an omelette made. There is a nice little but functional gym with good views. Also a small poolarea with a floating garden. The personnel was very helpful. Overall a fantastic hotel with a great location for a city holiday in Lisbon.

Just wrapped up a fantastic stay at BessaHotel, and I can’t say enough good things about it! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The entire hotel—from the rooms to the lobby, the restaurant, and even the pool—was spotless. Their attention to cleanliness was truly impressive. The food? Absolutely delicious. And the drinks weren’t just tasty—they were beautiful, too! 🍹 Every detail felt intentional. What really made the stay special, though, was the staff. They were beyond friendly—thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly caring. They surprised my son with a birthday brownie delivered right to his room, and when my dad wasn’t feeling his best, they went above and beyond to bring him soup. It meant the world to us. I also appreciated the little things—like asking for conditioner and having it brought to my room the same day. That kind of service makes all the difference. The pool was a perfect spot to relax, and parking was easy and stress-free. We’ll absolutely be staying here again. Thank you, BessaHotel, for making our stay so memorable!

I don't often write with much excitement about the hotels where we have stayed through the last couple of years. But in this case, of Bessahotel Liberdade I must say that this hotel exceeded all our expectations. We simply loved it from the beginning of our stay till the very end. In all aspects this hotel receives from us the highest score. In particular I want to mention the genuine friendliness of the staff, from the reception to room cleaner to the people taking care of the rich and delicious breakfast each morning. We want to thank you and all the staff for making our stay the highlight of our Portugal trip. Now we know we have a place to come back to.

Excellent hotel !!! The staff (at the reception, at breakfast, at spa, room service and cleaning service) was always truly caring about us and all the hotel guests. The hotel location is excellent, few steps to the metro station and 5 minutes walk to the pedestrian zone. The room looking to the inner yard was very quiet, clean, comfortable. The bathroom as well. The breakfast was very very good with rich choice of all kind of food in a very very good quality. We ordered diner on two evenings from the room service and the quality was also very good and delicious. As a desert, I had the best creme brulee from the hotel room service in my life (and as a fan of creme brulee I tried many around the world). When we visit Lisbon again, we will definitely stay again in this hotel and if we visit Porto, we will take the Bessa hotel there too.

everything was perfect.

We had never been to this hotel before but have visited Lisbon several times, often staying at the Sheraton. As frequent travellers ( my husband for work), this hotel is execeptional. The staff are super accommodating and efficient. The room was excellent. I have sensory issues with noise and as other reviewers have commented, the quality of the glazing of windows means it was amazingly quiet at all times. My husband said it was one of the cleanest hotels he had ever been to everything, including a pure white bathroom sparkling. The location was perfect with a short walk to the historic tram which takes you Barrio Alto a lively place with great restaurants or a 10 minute walk to the shops and Placa de Commercial and a five minute walk to Rossio railway for a day trip to Sintra. Absolutely brilliant holiday and a perfect hotel.
