The breakfast was fantastic. It was the standard on which all my other hotel stays were made when it came to breakfast. The location was good it was not in the high tourist areas with all the restaurants by the port, but it was not far by train and there were plenty of places to eat by the hotel and not far at all.

Ideally situated hotel right next to the Marques Pombal Square. You can find there a number of bus options that will take you to most places in Lisbon and a metro station just around the corner as well. However, it is an easy 20 minutes walk to reach the city centre. I consider the location really safe full of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Our room was modern and clean with a large comfortable bed. Breakfast included an incredible range of items to choose from and was very high quality, but not spacious for all the guests. We came always about 8 o’clock, so don’t know how it looked the rest of the morning. Overall, we really recommend this hotel and hope to stay once again while visiting Lisbon.

The bathroom door in our room didn't really fit into the frame, because they were a bit bigger, therefore they couldn't be fully closed. Not a big deal for us, just little uncomfortable. And it would be better to have the shower completely closed, because the floor gets really wet after a shower, no matter you try. Plus the elevators are extremely slow.

We asked for a higher floor and got the top floor with a small balcony. As a result, the room was slightly smaller but all the facilities remained the same. This is our 3rd stay with EXE mainly because of the location and access to the metro. WiFi speed was great for streaming, large walk-in shower and large towels. Fully stocked mini fridge. We didn't have breakfast at €12pp instead went across the street to the coffee house and they served fresh fruit etc. Staff were very friendly, as before. The reverse cycle Aircon worked well too.

As usual for me, beds a little hard for my hips and there were no complimentary toiletries, even for a 3 star hotel.

This hotel is located in a very safe area. Don’t look at kilometres because it is nothing compared to the amount of steps u will do every day around Lisbon. The most important that u can return back at 23.00 alone and not be scared. Location is really good. Breakfasts were very nice. Eggs/ bacon/ greenery/ cheese was wonderful/ pastel de nata/ apple pie was amazing/ coffee was good/ try tea (tea was very quality) / may be when season will come - there will be cucumbers and tomatoes also. If u think area is small for breakfast - don’t think. All people were civilised and breakfasts were very comfortable. Also they have Welcome Drinks. Once u come from a long walk - u can refresh yourself on reception with water with lemon. As per room - there will be basics (body lotion/ hand wash/ shampoo/ gel for shower). But I recommend to take all your personal cosmetics with u because usually we have allergies to unknown products. This is normal practice. If u need something - u can always ask guys on reception. They will provide whatever u need. They are very helpful. Bed was nice. There was smell in the room because in the bathroom looks like is no ventilation. But I opened balcony - problem was solved. Let’s keep in mind this is Europe and buildings are not brand new. So these things are normal. If u want to be picky - of course u will find disadvantages in everything. I am the person who visited more than 40 countries and I am a woman. So comfort for me is important. This hotel is nice. Book it, believe me u will not regret. And don’t be shy to ask guys on reception for help. As per Sintra, my big advice to dedicate one day of your vacation, take a train and go there on your own early in the morning. Book entrance to Sintra beforehand please. Plan your trip to Sintra on your own because u will need the whole day to spend there. Excursion is not enough. U will need more time there. But u have to visit Paco da Roca. Great place.

Very comfortable beds. The shower was clean and a good size - plenty of movement room. Good location as it is right beside a Metro station. About a 30 minute walk down to the sea front. Staff were very lovely - allowed us to stow our luggage after checking out as we had a late flight home. The hotel fits basic needs!

You can't close the shower door so it causes the bathroom floor tiles to get a bit slippery - they do give you a towel for the floor at least. You can also hear a lot of the outside noises due to the thin walls and single glazed windows - could be quite loud at times.

The room was clean and spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great! There's so much to do around the hotel too, within walking distance there are pharmacies, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores and parks!! There are many buses and the metro is a very short walk away. When we went during early June, there was a also a festival happening nearby. We found a lot of places on the last day, definitely have a walk around. It was also 10-15 minutes by taxi to the airport! It's listed as three stars, but would say it's 4 stars!! They also had some nice flavoured water and mini pastries at reception which was a very sweet touch. Would recommend.

Location was great, walkable to the centre and on bus 744 to the airport. Our room was quiet, bed was comfy and room just decent size for few nights stay.

I would have liked a coffee/tea making facility in the room as I like to have coffee as soon as I wake up while getting ready. You can get coffee at breakfast and bring it upstairs later.

This is our 7th time staying at EXE. we like because of the location to the metro, it's modern, fast WiFi, underground parking (daily charge), comfy beds, walk-in shower, large bath towels, efficient Aircon, good lighting and plenty of wall sockets for charging and we always request a kettle in the room which is always obliged. should have loyalty points with them! Never tried their breakfast as we go across the street to the cafe, so can't comment but it looks ample.

a choice of pillows would be good. Wall Hook in the bathroom was too high for me to reach!

Accommodated our needs (we had a baby) so we were delighted. We needed a kettle to make formula and they gave us it for the week, lovely and clean place too. And staff were polite and helpful. Air con was great too as most hotels can be hit or miss with AC. Great area for wheelchair access or pram access as it's q uite flat around this area. Not hilly like the rest of Lisbon, I also felt very safe in the area as I had a baby and my elder family. So it's was the perfect place to stay regarding my needs :)

Not the most modern or the glam, but does the job, Lisbon is a city break so you will hardly be at the hotel so suited our needs for the time we were there!

The room was spacious, comfy bed, all the comforts that I needed. The location was central in the city and close to a metro station. The guy working the front desk when we checked in (Carlos) was awesome giving us tons of advice upon check in on where to eat, what sites were good to see vs not worth it and how to get wherever we were wanting to go.

The walls are unbelievably thin. My room was on the 6th floor and the noise from the street was so loud I thought the window might have been open. The area wasn’t crazy loud so it wasn’t a huge problem but I could hear emergency sirens and traffic sounds very clearly as I was falling asleep. If you need silence to sleep it will be tough. Also my devices could not get connection on the wifi and the tv had only Portuguese speaking stations so to watch tv at the end of the day was challenging. I ended up setting up my iPad on my phones hotspot to watch Netflix while I got ready for bed so this wasn’t a huge deal to me but if you want cable tv in English it won’t be available.
