The location is really good. its a quiet street but close to everything. SO you won't hear anything outside really. It was well lit, and plenty of people around. Has a restaurant. The room i had i think was a king bed, was really big. i liked the small balcony. the bathroom was fine too. The cabinet for clothes and frig it really nice size. Nice front desk help. Clean room and bathrooms.

It could use more hooks to hang coats up. Please add conditioner for hair. I think a small desk would be nice but not sure how....maybe a corner. Or perhaps just another type of shelf near the coffee etc. The breakfast in my opinion isn't worth it. So many great places in the area. Maybe try it for one day and then decide. The eggs were almost cold and it felt put off by asking for another type of coffee...You should be able to get any type.

Once you have sorted your hotels for price and location, the next thing you want is cleanliness and friendliness, Hotel Lis Baixa scores high there, so stop your search. The rooms are a little smaller but adequate. You're close to tourists spots, grocery, coffee, wine (find Alberto's one block south for a great wine tasting), food, and transportation so very convenient. The windows are great! Close them and the street noise disappears. They have blackout shutters so you can sleep deeply. Open them and look out on the streets. The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Carpet was a little tired and worn.

First and foremost…the best thing about this hotel is the staff... from housekeeping to reception... thank you so much! We were warmly welcomed, and the reception is not just a front desk; it’s like a full-service travel agency. No question goes unanswered, with countless suggestions on what to do in Lisbon, tickets available for many attractions, and maps of the city… it couldn’t be better. The hotel’s location is ideal, allowing you to walk to many places directly. Bars, restaurants, and sights are all within walking distance. We had a lovely room with a spacious bathroom, very clean and comfortable, plus fast internet. What more could you want? The hotel also has a restaurant with a good breakfast. Lisbon is beautiful, and we’d gladly come back and definitely book this hotel again. Many thanks to the “Hotel Lis - Baixa Team.”

A few more seats in the restaurant would be nice.

Room was excellent as was the location and since the staff was so personable and pleasant, they helped us by recommending places of interest and historical to visit. Restaurant attached to the hotel had an excellent daily buffet breakfast.

Nothing, really

Hotel staff, especially Ines at front desk, were all terrific! The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was excellent, and towels were changed every day routinely without asking. Robes and slippers were provided, a very nice amenity. There was a kettle and tea/coffee, and a complimentary bottle of water provided, that we really appreciated. We had a room with a small balcony and really liked opening the french doors for air and light in the morning. The noise level was not too bad as it is not on a busy street. The daily breakfast was very good, with many selections and really good coffee. Cappuccinos made on request. Daniella served us on a few occasions, and we found her to be delightful. The hotel location is excellent. Convenient to Rossio Square, and Praca Figueira where you can board city busses and tour busses. Overall, a beautiful hotel in the heart of Lisbon. It exceeded our expectations.

everything was great

Location

My wife just had a regular coffee and we were charged for the full breakfast rate. This was the only problem we encountered with the stay. 12 euro for a cup of coffee?

We went for our honeymoon and they were very sweet and welcoming to us! I got the larger room and it was worth it! The room was very spacious, and the natural lighting from the windows was very pleasant. At night, closing the windows blacked out the room and made it easy to stay asleep. I loved the lotion amenity - the smell was very pleasant. The breakfast was very good. The location was in the middle of everything downtown lisbon. They made great recommendations and we tried the restaurant they suggested for us and reserved for us the first night.

The breakfast room was small so during rush hour not all options are available or refilled. Come early for the freshness and variety. I didn't like that the soap was solid instead of liquid - personal preference due to long nails. Sometimes the showerhead was too strong as the handle is quite sensitive and I got half the washroom wet.

The location was perfect, situated in Baixia, between the charming neighbourhoods of Alfama and Bairro Alto, a short walking distance (uphill) to both. The Rio Tejo riverfront and beatiful Praca do Comercio was also within a short walking distance, giving us a cooler breeze on hot days. We stayed in a mini double room with breakfast. It was indeed a very small room, but comfortable beds, in a quiet street and with a well-functioning air conditioner. The breakfast was fine, serving the expected foods and drinks, in a charming restaurant connected to hotel. On departure we used the hotel pick-up service which worked perfect and on time. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, but if visiting a next time we will choose a slightly bigger room with a street view and a small balcony.

Our Mini room was very small and with an equally small bathroom. If you are very concerned about privacy, please note that it is only a frosted glass door separating bathroom and room. In addition, we could not close this door properly, giving us even less privacy. We gave the reception notice, but no one followed up during our stay.

The location was great - it was so easy to walk to all of the major central sites, shopping areas and restaurants. The room was quiet, very clean and very well equipped for a 3-star hotel (dressing gown, slippers, range of toiletries, safe). Free cakes were available in reception when we arrived which was a nice touch. Bed was very comfortable.

My room was at the back and looked out on to a very unattractive alley between two buildings. Don't let this put you off though as this is a great value hotel in a brilliant location, just don't expect a view if you've gone for a cheap room.

The location was excellent, although we would often get lost when returning. The exterior of the hotel was very attractive. The room was smallish but clean.

The glass door to the bathroom was heavy to push/pull. It could not be left open because then you could not access the sink. The tub/shower was slippery when wet. The coffee pot had to be placed on the floor because the cord was not long enough to reach the shelf above. Reception told us to go up two flights of stairs (with luggage) to reach the second floor elevator. We later discovered that the elevator could be accessed from the ground floor. I don't know why they did not want guests to use it.
