Although it was the first time we had stayed at this hotel, we felt at home, but with all the comforts of a 5-star hotel. It starts on arrival, with the friendliness of the valley car park, followed by the moment we entered the hotel. Not only is the decor phenomenal, but you can smell the great atmosphere. All the staff are welcoming us with huge smiles and one detail I loved was their uniforms. Completely different from what we're used to, bold, original and perfectly in keeping with the decor. They upgraded us to a premium room which was fantastic, huge with lots of natural light and unique details such as a Porto and an apple and caramel tart. Breakfast at Rocco was great, not just because of the food but because of the decor. Despite having a varied buffet of excellent quality, we opted to order a la carte. We had the seasonal vegetable frittata, the blinis with smoked salmon and creme fraiche and the avocado toast, which were divine. We only stayed one night, but the experience was incredible, both in the way it started and the way it ended (with the added bonus of having a couple of bottles of water and a card in the car)!

I have stayed already 3 times at The Ivens, and we can't get enough of it. The experience my wife and I have had there has simply gone up at every visit. Everything is just magical and well thought through. Great service, beautiful rooms, attention to detail, treats here and there, kind messages that make you feel good. The Acqua di Parma amenities is the novelty this time. Love their products. The shower, the pressure of the water, the bed and linens, the really puffy slippers (never seen elsewhere)...all exactly how things should be. I cannot recommend enough this hotel. And then there is the restaurant at the ground floor with an amazing and simply gorgeous cocktail bar. Amazing food, great service once again. And the breakfast is just another experience in itself. I recommend having it outside, in the "winter garden" / covered patio. All has been made for us to linger and relax.

Everything! Dinner at Rocco’s was excellent. Complimentary breakfast was amazing. Gastro Bar was the most wonderful bar/experience I have ever been too. Concierge staff were so helpful and the guys helping at the front entrance were awesome. The designer who designed this place requires an award. Safari, jungle, whimsical, vintage all tied up in a pretty bow 🎀.

Loved the African themed decor and the interiors throughout was amazing. The bar had great vibes and full of character. The food was also excellent with a great choice. Good location in the Chiado area.

Very disappointed with the service. Especially the Restaurant staff. Had to wait nearly one hour to get breakfast one day and the staff was quite rude when I complained. Although the bar is a great place, which we visited every day of our stay in the evenings, it was very difficult to get seating since it is well patronised by outsiders. They do not have any special consideration for the in-house guests. Once again, the service was very poor. For instance, when we asked for some olives, we were told that they couldn't supply it as they didn't have enough containers to serve it!

It is a beautifully decorated & well functioning hotel. The Staff was extraordinarily friendly, helpful & efficient. The restaurants Rocco, Crudo Bar & Gastro Bar, all in connection with each other, were absolutely nice, again beautifully designed, efficiently staffed, & with exciting & even delicious menues & very skilled sommeliers. If you want to go for the Italian part of the menu then be aware that it would more precise to name it the American-Italian menu.

We occupied a very smart very comfortable big bedroom, where everything functioned as intended. The smart design with a huge king size bed in the middle of the room only had the disadvantage that the breakfast trolley couldn’t pass it, & had to remain in the entrance of the room.

location was excellent. had a balcony which was awesome. nespresso and tea was great. really liked the design and the look of the hotel and the room. on our first night the woman in reception was excellent and recommended a great fish restaurant in walking distance

The hotel is just beyond expectation. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor is just absolutely gorgeous. This hotel was definitely worth the stay.

The room was not available at check in time, so we had to wait extra 40 minutes in the lobby. We also have to call the reception for wifi problem. The IT staff had to enter into the room to fix the issue.

Fabulous hotel, beautiful décor and luxurious, comfortable rooms, with great attention to detail giving guests the very best experience. Excellent facilities, knowledgeable and friendly staff and an ideal location. Quite simply… superb!

Absolutely nothing. Just more fruit and healthy options with the Continental breakfast please, although there is also a very good a la carte breakfast.

We had a great stay. Hotel has a very nice location, the facilities are really good and guest service was amazing. Everybody was very attentive and careful, room was immaculately clean and tidy and beds are amazingly comfortable. Highly recommendable hotel.
