Hotel location is excellent - close to MRT, close to several shopping centres and food malls, walking or train distance to restaurants, Clarke Quay, Arab st, Marina Bay, Raffles City, a huge park and ST Andrews Cathedral are just across the road. Room was recently renovated, spacious, nicely furnished. My only complaint is that there was a door to an adjoining room and we could clearly hear every word the couple next door said. Hence we were whispering so they wouldn't hear us. Need to sound proof those doors. We didn't experience any construction noise others have complained about. There are two pools that are perfect temperature and provide towels. There is some poolside seating with some shade areas. Plenty of poolside seats available when we were there but may not be enough in busy holiday periods. All of the staff were absolutely wonderful, from check in staff to concierge and restaurant staff. I would definitely recommend to friends. I would stay there again. We stayed in room 1626 of Peninsular Excelsior Tower part of the hotel (the hotel has two buildings)in May 2024.

Noise transfer from neighbours via the adjoining room door - needs soundproofing. Many hotels in this area have direct access underground to the City Hall MRT and to connect to other nearby shopping centres. We couldn't find direct MRT access at this hotel, so we accessed it thru a nearby hotel. On rainy days or really hot days direct access would be great.

The hotel is in a great location just a short walk from City Hall station (we took the MRT from the airport and was very easy). The pool are was nice to relax by, although we never did find the sauna? We were given complimentary late check out which was great as we had a late night flight.

The bathroom does have a damp smell but didn’t negatively impact our stay. Our room had a connecting door to another room whose occupier snored and it was so loud it sounded like they were in our room so there is no sound proofing between these rooms (hopefully a non connecting room would not have this issue?)

We had an issue with our first room, in that the window unit was blown and the bathroom flooded every time we had a shower, the staff were great and got us moved into another (bigger) room, which was a painless process. We loved the fact that is was so close to the F1 track, which was the reason for our visit. We couldn't believe our luck at how central it was and how easy it was to get around. Anyone staying here must check out the restaurant on floor 22, we only found it on the last night, and really wished we had found it on the first as we would have been able to see the track all light up. The views from this restaurant are absolutely stunning.

The bathrooms really could do with being redesigned. They could do way with the baths altogether and make the bathrooms a lot bigger and less likely to flood! The air con units could probably do with a service as well, as they were SOOO loud, but after long days at the track, we were absolutely shattered anyway.

The room was fine and the staff was helpful. Nice pool and appreciate that they offered suhoor during Ramadan.

My only issue is that they allowed us to book a room that was too small for our family. I entered in the correct number of people here on Booking.com and all the options that were shown were supposed to have fit us. In the photo, it looks like the window seat is actually a chaise on which someone can sleep (it appears to have a back.) But upon arrival, there is no back. It is, in fact, not a chaise...just a hard bench with a couple pillows on it. So the photos and the fact that the room is bookable as an option for more people than it can actually fit, is misleading.

Great location, close to City Hall station. Walking distance to shops and attractions. Friendly staff.

Be aware the sauna, gym and the pool in Peninsula Tower are currently closed for renovation. There was no info about this on the hotel information. I was disappointed as I had been looking forward all day to a sauna after a long overnight flight. It would be helpful for guests to know ahead of time.

The room size is good in view of its central location. It has a nice view to the sea, a good bed and a large bathroom. The pillows are a bit too firm and round. Although there are four pillows, none actually works for me. The room is very clean, decoration a bit tired but everything is functional. The coffee machine is a bit puzzling to operate. The staff is always helpful and smiley, especially a female employee named Sheryll. She is extremely observant and highly customer-oriented with a personalized touch. She has the magic to make her guests feel special.

My room payment and deposit charges were confused. The process was unclear. The bathroom is clean and spacious, but due to the age of the building, there is a constant odour from the pipe/drainage.

Location is very convenient only few minutes away from the MRT station where takes you to the airport or anywhere you wish to go.

There was some noise from construction in day time.. but it stops after 5 pm so, was ok for me.

Staff went over and above my expectations and that is high for me. The gentleman who checked me in was lovely. I was provided with a room on a higher floor with a view of Marina Sands. The welcome note on the TV was a lovely touch. The concierge staff, particularly, Eddie and Hanafish, were so cheerful, fun and very helpful. Thanks guys! I asked for a late checkout and it was provided until 2 pm without any question, that was so helpful to me so once again, thanks to the staff. Always smiling and helpful.

The one suggestion I have is about the rooftop bar, I thought it was available to all, but found out it was only for certain level of guests. Also it was not as I expected, there was an outside platform was this was disappointing. I was told that there is a plan to update this area. Another suggestion is to advise guests when there are private events happening and where in the hotel.

Everything was beautiful. Location was excellent. Staff attentive. On our last day after we had checked out, the Manager came over asking if we had checked in or out. Told him checked out. Had a very informative talk to him. He gave us our room back till we had to leave for the airport.

Lifts were slow. For my friend, smoking areas were limited, 1 staff member sent her down a dark alley alone, only to be confronted by a group of boys and ladies of the night. Also both of us were locked out, we had gone to the Stillwater pool for Fiona to smoke, I took photo's. No one checked before locking the door to see if anyone was around. No one heard our knocks or our yelling. I found a staff room door open and went in that way. The response from the Lobby staff was abhorrent.

The location of the hotel is excellent...easy walking distance to many locations nearby. While there are renovations currently happening, it wasn't a problem for us and only a minor inconvenience. The staff member Premala (reception) provided excellent and friendly service. We did have a problem with a badly leaking shower in our first room (recently renovated), we spoke to Premala about this problem and she relocated us to a better room in the Excelsior building, for which we were very grateful.

On a few occasions, we'd leave the room in the morning and switch on the 'clean room' switch. When we came back to the room in the afternoon, the room was still not made up. We rang the appropriate people and they said that they would send someone up to clean the room. We then went down to the pool for an hour or so and when we came back, the room still wasn't cleaned. We rang again and this time the cleaning staff did attend. The cleaners did do a good job in cleaning, however it was a tad disappointing that when we cam back after a few hours, the room wasn't made up.
