The cabin was warm and welcoming, the staff had turned on the heating so we walked into a warm cabin ready to settle in after a long drive from Adelaide. Spacious, comfortable and perfect for our needs even though we are a family of 6, the kids didn’t feel hemmed in. Central to everything we wanted to explore in Ballarat. Staff were really friendly at reception and ensured we were well informed on how the park operated.

It’s not that I ‘didn’t like’ the property, I found the kitchen lacking in essentials for cooking. There was one saucepan and only 5 forks. Not a dealbreaker and I adjusted accordingly but considering our large family, we couldn’t eat out all the time so I’d cook. Could have done with a fry pan, a larger cutting board and scissors.

A very quiet hidden little gem in the outer parts of Ballarat, perfect for a weekend away exploring the local area. The heating was on to warm our room for when we arrived, after a chilly day out, and the communication for the check in process was explained thoroughly and overall a really great experience.

We only stayed 1 night so didn’t have anything to complain about. Some minor works happening at the park but nothing that interrupted our stay.. The rates were a little higher than what I would have liked to pay but there was a local festival on which probably would have pumped the prices up in most places.

The cabin was luxury compared to other parks we've stayed. The beautiful black finishing's throughout felt very modern. The cleanliness was expectational. Particularly the bathroom and shower recess. The beds were VERY comfy, warm and soft. Would highly recommend this park and we've already planned our next trip there.

The only draw back was the lounge area and the way the couch was positioned, my son and I could not watch the TV together, also the TV was HUGE compared to the space of the room and too high up for little people! We were unable to get the WIFI on the bedroom tele, so could log into our own streaming sites.

The cabin was tidy. The kitchen contained all the equipments that we needed to cook our meals during our stay. Our children love the pool next door to it. The location is great. Close to all the attractions that we wanted to go.

The cabin floor is very dirty. We have a toddler who love to run around and play with his toys on the floor. We have to wear socks for him, without socks his feet completely black from the dirt. There was no mop in the room that I can use to mop. They provided broom and dustpan which is great. Would be great if they also have a bucket and a mop that I can use.

Our cabin was like new, so clean and beds were so comfortable, husband has a bad back and actually woke after a long drive feeling better.!Location was quiet yet only 5 minutes drive from Ballarat Central with so many shopping options, or 5 minutes walk to great local shops. The adjacent swimming pools were great and mini golf and games room also entertained the kids, and a playground at the Eureka Stockade park was fun. Beautiful location, close to Sovereign Hill!

Unfortunately the playground is being renewed, but that's something to look forward to next time.

The lodge itself exceeded my expectations, it was a beautiful chalet with a veranda, compact yet spacious and with everything you would need for a self catering holiday, very clean and modern with air conditioning making it a relief to enter in extreme hot weather. I really enjoyed my short stay. It felt safe for a single traveller and gated access with a code meant I could come and go out of hours. The lodge had dedicated parking right outside. Would definitely stay again if I could have the same lodge, I loved it!

My only complaint is that in spite of repeated attempts, I was unable to connect to the free WiFi, I suspect because there are not enough portals for everyone staying at this large and busy holiday park, even children have devices these days. I am glad I only had a short stay as connecting with family 12,000 miles away could have proved expensive!

We booked 2 different cabins, one was absolutely stunning with a new refurb and the other was very old and run down. Location was very close to town.

The small cabin we booked was full of stained furniture and broken and old items. Also to use the powerpoints that were behind the bed to charge our phones you had to fully pull out the mattress and could not place it back while things were plugged into the power sockets which meant we could barely walk infront of the bed to get out of the room and could not fully open the cupboard doors.

So close to all we wanted to see, Soveingn Hill, Wildlife Park just very short trips. Right next to amazing pool and water park the kids loved. Room was clean, even if a touch small the cabin had been updated, kitchen had heaps of space. Was very nice cabin.

Fridge needs updating, missed shelves and froze a few things as no crisper. No teatowel and extra bin liner but that jus t minor and easy fixed with the lovely staff. Also they removed the kids play area, I hope they replace it one day.

Cabin was clean, comfortable and all the comforts of home. We loved all the amenities and had everything we needed for our stay. The staff are all lovely to deal with. The park is well maintained and feels safe and secure. We have now stayed here twice and will keep coming back

We loved the location and found the cabin comfortable and the bed was comfy, the shower was great. The parking space was great, all it needed was a little clothes line and it would have been perfect. The laundry room was great. The staff were friendly and we will definitely stay here again.

The only thing was the layout of the cabin and the height of the giant TV in the dining area, very awkward watching TV. But that was nothing really.
