It is conveniently situated in Kempton, a few minutes walk to the centre. The staff, Yana and Valentina, could not do more to make you feel welcome. The rooms are compact but perfectly comfortable. Breakfast, especially the Full English, is excellent. We will return next time we are visiting Brighton.

If you book through Booking.com, be on your guard if you get a follow-up email which purports to be from the Blanch Hotel threatening cancellation if you do not give your bank details. NEVER DO THIS. It is a scam. The hotel is aware and is actively trying to shut the scam down.

Excellent staff made our stay just perfect, with their attentiveness and service. Complimentary Prosecco for the birthday celebration, fresh milk, chilled water…. Clean and comfortable room. Not too far to walk to Brighton pier / Sealife / central town. We’d definitely use again.

Of course finding an on-street parking space is always tricky in Brighton, yet we eventually found one. It’s currently £15 per 24 hours for ‘C’ zone parking. Misunderstood when booking that the included breakfast would be the cooked breakfast, however the post booking confirmation email clearly explained a £15pp surcharge for cooked breakfast. That said, the continental breakfast was plentiful and lovely, so we certainly weren’t hungry!

Situated near the seafront in a small, mostly residential one-way street. A classic seaside hotel. Only a short walk to the pier and local eateries. The staff were super friendly and very helpful and made the stay very pleasant. The hotel is older but clean. It's basic but has what you would expect for a seaside location. Our room overlooked a pub garden which was a bit noisy but shut by 11pm so not too bad and I suspect quieter when the weather isn't as nice. We had sunshine throughout so lots of people out and it was Brighton Marathon weekend so the area was packed and the reason we were there. I found the mattress very hard so not as comfortable a sleep as I would like and the shower was interesting as squeezing into the tiny cubicle was a feat. The full English breakfast was very good and definitely worth the extra. Overall a pleasant experience with excellent staff and ideal for short stays.

Room was very good, nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly, attentive and good to chat with. The full English breakfast was amazing. Lots of choice on the continental breakfast. The hotel is in a very good location , a nice easy walk down to Brighton seafront.

Bathroom was quite small. Parking is a bit of a nightmare, you can pay for a permit from the hotel but there is no guarantee that you will be able to find a place. Lots of small streets around but with very limited parking spaces.

Blanch House was lovely, some really great touches, well thought through. Check in was quick and easy, the room well decorated and lovely. The homemade biscuits were a lovely extra. Close to the centre to walk so very convenient. Good shower in the morning. Room was compact but had everything and price reflected this.

The parking was stressful as we couldn't find anywhere initially but we eventually did along the seafront and in the end it worked out well as we could pay online for or hour in the morning. The room we had backed on to a pub garden which was a little noisy. Thankfully it didn't stay open really late.

The rooms(we had 4 booked) were beautifully decorated,very comfortable and refreshingly very different.The breakfast was delicious, catering for all our dietary requirements perfectly and the lady preparing and serving it was lovely(Valentina).The location was perfect, a stones throw from the beach and a short walk to the centre of the town.However the highlight of our stay was the hospitality of two members of staff,Janet and Lydia who really made our stay very special.Nothing was too much trouble for them,we were looked after so well, they were brilliant hosts

Did not have breakfast as there was no English breakfast available Location excellent Bed not that comfortable, had bad back ack for the 2 night stay Room was very dark to dark for the size and felt dirty but was clean I think due to not alot of light it looked dirty and old Very clean , friendly staff Cleaner have me belongings that I had left was ever so greatful shelf in bathroom kept falling down , one day it will smash needs replacing Shower head was dirty with lime scale , the shower would be alot powerful if you applied a new head for the shower. Having time alone in a quite room with a great location for relaxing . worth going to the hotel just stay in the macaroon room way to dark

Friendly communication on booking and a warm welcome on arrival and throughout stay. All staff were helpful and courteous. Room was compact, clean and well equipped. Bed was large and comfortable (Harlequin room). Fan/AC provided in room and was effective. Bathroom was small but shower worked well, good water pressure. Shampoo (no conditioner) and shower gel provided. Tea/coffee/milk restocked promptly upon request. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Great location, an easy 20-minute walk from the railway station, very close to the seafront and to the main Pier (£1 entry fee), plenty of cafés, restaurants, shops, within walking distance. Would happily stay again.

Would be convenient to have a dedicated plug socket or extension lead to reach the tea/coffee tray. The view was the back of neighbouring buildings. A sheer/lightweight curtain (in addition to the usual heavier curtains) would add more privacy. Would advise bringing earplugs if bothered by the sound of seagulls, as they wake early. We came prepared! [Not at the property itself, but unfortunately, there was some noisy building work in progress at a neighbouring house. It finished at 4pm and started at 8am so was bearable]. Overall we had a lovely stay and none of the above would deter us from booking again in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and large enough for two adults to navigate. The quirky themes (eg: Snowstorm with the snow cones) were quaint given the traditional sea side setting. The location was excellent for Brighton Pier and the beach. The continental breakfast was very good and the staff member serving was excellent. Would highly recommend.

It was quite a walk into the main centre of Brighton, with many steep inclines along the way. That said, there were buses available along the main promenade.
