Staff were excellent to desl.with from the doorman to the room cleaners and everyone in between: courteous, friendly, competent! Accommodations were lovely _ we used this spot as home base while we researched ancestry and walked Dublin. Luggage storage was provided and needed because there was no early checkin available.

We registered at 11a after flying all night and the room was not ready until after 4pm. Although we gave a phone # to notify us of readiness, we were not called. After 4p, we asked at the front desk if our room was ready _ it was. A very minor detail but....

The location is very convenient - close to Heuston station, Kilmainham, Guinness, the Museum, Jameson's distillery, Phoenix park, etc., and a short tram ride into the city centre. The breakfast room is comfortable, lovely views and light, and the breakfast service was very well-organized and efficient; there was also a good range of options. The food available in the bar was also excellent, we had a delicious soup upon our arrival. Really hit the spot on a cold December day! Good selection of drinks and a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were great, professional yet friendly. In general, I felt appreciated while I was there, there's a nice atmosphere to the place. I travel to Dublin about once a year, and I've stayed in many other hotels, this was my first time at the Ashling, and it will be my first choice for future visits.

My only disappointment was the bread at breakfast - I was looking forward to some brown soda bread, but there was only sliced pan.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and finished to a nice level. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Really appreciated the host at breakfast and her musical entertainment. The breakfast was amazing and set you up for the day. I appreciated the staff service at the hot food counter. The bed was comfy. Having Easter decorations around the hotel was a very nice touch. The location is very good. It's out of the throng of the city but close enough to get there in just 10-15 minutes by tram or bus. Would definitely stay again.

On the Friday night there were people shouting in the street (not hotel's fault), it could be heard with the window closed. Other nights were quiet. My partner was a bit disturbed by an on and off low-level humming noise but we couldn't establish the source and we didn't complain about it.

Perfect location for Kilmainham to see Iggy Pop. Good tram link to Temple Bar and other sites and opposite Guinness brewery. Comfy bed, very friendly staff. Tasty breakfast buffet. Nice fluffy towels. Taxi rank outside so convenient for airport transfer etc.

A little over priced for room only. Our room had no view! Strange having plastic cups and paper cups and wooden stirrers for hot drinks in room - would expect glasses and crockery/spoons! Water bottles would be nice in room but we used the water fountains in hallway. Fresh juice at breakfast wasn’t nice. Pillows a bit hard.

A group of 8 stayed in the hotel for a birthday celebration, the hotel staff were welcoming and so helpful from the start, we were running late for an excursion, they allowed us very quickly to check into one room and leave all of our luggage. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, great choice and delicious. The hotel is in a great location, close to bars, restaurants with a bus stop right outside. The reception staff went above and beyond, I accidentally left my kindle in my room, they found it, set it aside, then once I’d arranged a courier they packaged it up for me, they were so helpful, if I come back to Dublin, I will definitely stay here again!

Very clean, modern hotel. Excellent service from all the staff. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The superior room was a little smaller than expected but not a problem as very clean and huge bed. Breakfast was great with loads of options to cater for our whole party which included coeliac, veggie and fussy eaters! Great location to get into Dublin centre with the LUAS a 2min walk away. Only 25mins from the airport by taxi.

Only a few minor issues: A little noisy for the rooms at the front on the Saturday morning but nothing too bad; Sunday was fine. The shower head was very low - you wouldn't want to be 6ft tall (which I'm not!) Bed was quite hard for us (but we are used to a memory foam mattress). Paid for superior room but it felt a little smaller than expected.

Check out on booking was 2 hours wrong, it told me 10am when infact it is 12pm. Breakfast option wasn’t available on booking, yet is offered when checking in- and it’s cheaper to pre book it than on the day. Quiet up until the staff began work when at 7am on the corridor one woman was very loud - felt like she was trying to wake people up. I found this weird and unnecessary. A mini fridge would be lovely so as to have real milk for tea & coffee. All very minor things- most not the hotels issue.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing!! We stayed at multiple hotels in Ireland and would stay here again just for the breakfast. The breakfast staff were also so welcoming. The hotel room shower was fabulous. I loved the shower pressure. There is free validated parking, which is a bonus in the city. We walked to Guinness Storehouse, which was a plus that it was so close.

The AC wouldn't work in our room. We realized this at 2am, when we couldn't sleep. When I mentioned the "error" message for the thermostat to the receptionist in the morning, she only said we could have called to have it fixed, rather than apologizing. We didn't want to call at 2am because it would have woken up the kids. Hopefully she put in maintenance ticket. If the AC works, it will certainly be a 10/10 experience.

The staff were so welcoming and kind. They had a lovely little gift bag for my son, which was a really lovely touch. The rooms were lovely and clean and nicely stocked with teas and coffee. The location is ideal for accessing transport to and from the city centre

The thermostat was not working in the room which left the room a bit cool but to be honest was better than most hotel rooms where the rooms are unbearably warm and require the need the air con on all night which can be very loud and sometimes not even adjustable so im not sure if this can even be counted as a negative.

Loved everything from the reception desk to to leaving. The red curry was the nicest dish I have had in a very long time absolutely so tasty and freshly made. The staff in the hotel were always so helpful and polite. We had a small baby with us and the restaurant staff completely went above and beyond to make us comfortable and catered to us greatly. They even gave us a little welcome gift bag for the baby with crayons colouring pad and organic bath wash and a little treat this was a nice touch and the colours kept her busy after dinner. Bedroom was lovely and comfortable cannot fault it. Fresh water stations on every level with ice. Hotel itself is in a very handy location just 2 mins from train station and 10 mins walk from the zoo. We will definitely be returning. Well done all in ashling hotel fabulous staff.

Only thing was there was no YouTube on the TV. Otherwise cannot fault the place.
