This is a luxurious (and expensive) hotel in an excellent city centre, but very quiet, location. The location is a traffic-free square just below the railway station. Access to the square is by a frequent and reasonably-priced funicular (no need for a taxi, the hotel is just steps away from the funicular). Lugano is situated on a stunningly beautiful lake, with snow-covered mountains rising above it. The room was large and beautifully furnished in a modern style. The bathroom was larger than most, and all the fittings were top-class. Best of all, our room had a kettle, so we could make tea as we like it, which means made with boiling water.

We didn't like the dinner in the restaurant, which somewhat coloured our opinion of the stay, although the room was perfect. The food was of the fashionable, imaginative kind, while we prefer simple and traditional. The dinner was also extremely expensive.

The breakfast was excellent. Great variety for all tastes. The breakfast room however is a bit cramped though and there is not much privacy to talk between tables. The location of the hotel could not be more practical for travellers relying on public transport. We were served by Valentina at the front desk. She could not have been more helpful- she is a tremendous asset to the hotel.

We were extremely fortunate to have benefited from a snap deal on prices. While the room was extremely comfortable, it offered a view on to a construction site.

Very good location near to train ( ticket included ) and the breakfast very good and tasty &healthy and you can order thr breakfast at room without any extra fees! And there is a plant in the room .and the products in the toilets are without any harm ingredients. Staff are very friendly and when i ask to change the room they accept it easily . And for mini bar they give water and 3 fizzy drinks for free to refill daily.

Maybe the view and small rooms its like boutique hotel . We booked double plus rooms ( renovated room)

If anyone wishes to see what excellent hospitality is, they should stay at Luganodante. "We like you" is not a marketing slogan but a way of living and treating the customers with the highest hospitality standards, friendliness, kindness and smile. The staff (reception, breakfast staff, housekeeping, restaurant) goes beyond their way to make you feel good. The hotel is perfectly located, literally 30seconds from the funicular. Rooms are cosy and well equipped (coffee, tea and bar with soft drinks included). Breakfast is breathtaking - the variety is great with plenty of tasty options in place and the best coffee ever. When we go back to Lugano this will be definitely our choice to stay. Upon the check out, each guest receives a bottle of water and you may leave luggage in the storage. The staff were really friendly and spoke good English. The rooms are very well equipped and very modern. The breakfast was perfect with a great variety of dishes. The mixology bar was also great and we tasted their own Gin. There is an robotic underground parking upon charged which we used. The location super central and convenient.

Parking waiting area was really warm even with a fan. Air conditioning would be appreciated!

The family room was quite big for 4 people. The living area fits one sofa bed and one foldable bed. There are sliding door to separate the bedroom and living area totally which was ideal. Bathroom and toilet are large and separated. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic, we stayed on Christmas Day had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and both were tasty! The breakfast buffet was great and extensive! Very happy with the location too, just at the bottom of the funicular.

Right besides the funicular from Lugano Bahnhof. Short walk to lake Lugano and the city Center with many choices of restaurants. Room is clean and modernly decorated. Breakfast with great variety and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Shops near the hotel is amazing and there are even price down during this period. Staff are very friendly and nicely approachable, even house keeping team. Giving you all sorts of information for travelling around Ticino and Como.

This was the best hotel experience that you can imagine. The hotel is situated in the heart of Lugano, the personnel is amazing, the restaurant and the bar are trendy, the breakfast is superb with tons of vegan options, the rooms are spacious and we even got a free upgrade! We had a shower as well as a bathtub, complimentary water and minibar. I have never been at a hotel with such great personnel. They were friendly and always ready to help. When we checked out we also got complimentary water for our trip. We will only stay at this hotel when we will back in Lugano.

Everything was perfect!

It’s right in the center of town. You don’t even have to navigate the hilly steps to and from the train station because the funicular stop is only a few steps from the hotel. The hotel is small but cozy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Good size room for European standards. The room has a fridge and the drinks are replenished each day for free. Breakfast buffet was great. It has ample variety so you don’t get bored with the selection each day. You can’t go wrong with this hotel.

Location is great, right in the city center and literally at the entrance/exit to the funicular to the train station. Easy walk to the lake, breakfast was quite good, staff members were nice. The contents of the mini bar were free (non alcoholic) so that was nice. Air conditioning worked well, it was pretty hot. Bathroom was good sized and the shower was huge

Seems minor and it is, but a few tv stations would often freeze (especially BBC One and Two). I assume that’s because it was satellite, but it was annoying as I would have liked to have watched a couple of Wimbledon matches. But that was really it, I liked the hotel and would stay there again
