LOCATION location location!!! QUIET. 100 metre walk to the BEACH front / great CAFE( Kohi Cafe) and to top it off the BUS STOP. so if u are heading into the city which is what our stay was for ( concert at Spark Arena- bus stops right outside), it cost $9 each way with approx 15 min trip ( which includes stops along the way), and since the buses run frequently into the early hrs of the night, there was no hassles with parking or worry about how we were getting home . just jump back on the bus (@midnight for us) The motel is also in walking distance along the picturesque waterfront to Mission Bay beach/ restaurants approx 1km if that, which is what we did. Our room was a Superior one bedroom ( ground floor) - great parking at motel and also on street if needed. The Manager was extremely service focused . Happy to let us in an hour early walking us to our room personally . VERY WELCOMING .

Had ants on this stay. but nothing some bait wnt fix. and let’s face it we have all that problems with ants invading our homes fr time to time.

Excellent Location! Lovely area and only a 2 minute walk from the beach and a lovely cafe! Stunning and easy 10 minute walk along the coast to mission bay where theres bars, restaurants, etc. You have to eat at Bodrum Kitchen!!! There are plenty of buses and stops if you don't fancy the walk! Easy to get into main Auckland city centre! Wonderful staff, able to check in early due to a change in our flights 😀 Really good communication! Room was perfect for what we needed, a comfortable bed. Good shower! Lots of coffee and tea in the room. Spacious living area with excellent amenities! 100% would come back!

The location is perfect for my meetings in the city. Have stayed at a few places with my dog, and even though he's trained, and we leave the rooms as we found them, many pet motels are dives - low on cleanliness, layout, staff understanding -making it hard to travel with a dog. Aarangi is completely different - it's a combination of friendly staff, beachside location, spotless rooms, affordability, dog-walk terrain options and motel site layout that make it our absolute favourite in Auckland.

The location was 2minutes walk from the beach and cafes selling breakfast lunch and dinner. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge were 4 separate rooms, which made the unit feel very spacious. The staff were very helpful when I ledpft something behind, when I locked myself out and when I requested a shower mat as I found the floor slippery.

The door to the garden was not one that could be locked from outsidexand couldn't be used to leave the unit or return that way.

A separate bedroom was the first great thing. Accepting pets too. Off street parking very close to the unit made it easy to carry pets and luggage. Very quiet location in a lovely neighbourhood. A convenience store nearby.

The units are old and small but clean and functional with good furnishings and linen. I’d like to suggest that the extra fee charged for a pet could be a bond returned on leaving the unit immaculate but I appreciate this could cause more problems.

Great location - short walk to beach and cafes and bus stops, comfortable bed, nice linen, friendly and helpful staff, spaciousness of the unit, kitchenette, great shower pressure, amenities

the room could be updated a little more with new cushions, more modern furniture, air-con would have been nice as it was quite warm, dishcloth or sponge in the kitchen, small bottle of fresh milk in the fridge.

Fantastic stay at Aarangi Motel. Beautiful large clean room, just 100m from a lovely beach, bars and bus stop to the city centre ( buses every 15 minutes) Despite the weather being very hot and humid the room was beautifully airy and we rarely needed to use the two fans provided. Veronica was a great host and, nothing was too much trouble. With access to Auckland CBD just a 15 minute bus ride away I think we would always stay here in preference to a city hotel / apartment. Everything was brilliant

The staff was great from check in to check out; very friendly, polite and very helpful. They were always offered help to make our stay better and comfortable. We will definitely come back to this location

Everything was fantastic! There was one thing that I would recement to the maintenance crew is to fix the water splashing out of the sink to prevent damage to the surface; but it was not an inconvenience for us

Good location and warm comfy beds. All of the beds were heated. A nice touch in winter. Will definitely return.

We have a dog and the price was $35 per night for her to stay which can add up quite expensive for 3 nights. However, this price seems average across motels in this area per night. I prefer to find cheaper options given our longer stay.

A great order style motel with very adequately equipped kitchenette, separate main bedroom all immaculately clean and maintained. The location was excellent- mere steps from a few bars and a few more steps to the beach. The management were very friendly and helpful.

Not a lot not to like. The only comment would be that there was no supermarket within walking distance but was a couple of minutes drive away .
