I had one of the rooms with view on the garden, it was very quiet for the location (near a major road), the day was hot but I had a fan and a balcony door. I was able to open a secure, small window to get a gentle breeze at night. There was just enough equipment in the room, small fridge, kettle and a few basic cooking appliances to make it better for a 3 night stay. Very close to road as mentioned and a bus stop with lines going directly to Britomart, walking distance from the Remuera shops and the train station. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good pressure, the complimentary products were of good quality and appreciated.

The location for visiting Onehunga Dress Smart, Sylvia Park, and surrounding suburbs was great, easy to find, friendly staff, check-in and out easy peasy. Good off-street parking, the Devereux was ideal for a place to use as a base to sleep for myself and my daughter for cpl of nights. For a brief Akld stay, it was all good!

Kitchenette items lacking, only had 2 b'fast bowls, mugs, knife, fork n spoons. No dinner plates or bowls to heat stuff in the microwave. Smoke detector not in the ceiling but found in a kitchen drawer with NO battery and no outside light for going down the stairs when leaving the unit at night.

Reception was not occupied when I arrived but turned up within 5 mins of ringing call button. Check in was quick and easy. Room was quite basic but large and roomy - Deveraux is a large colonial house so all rooms are larger than typical with high timber ceilings. Good FREE carparking. Easy access to motorway system with on and off-ramps only a few hundred metres away.

Shower could of been better. Shower mixer was an old style Feltonmix from the 1960's - I thought this would have been replaced years ago. Still it gave quite nice pressure and flow so not that bad.

Kate is a welcoming lady. Lovely host with a smile. Free spacious parking, (although not by the unit),and free wifi. Clean and tidy but small unit for the three of us. Great sized shower and shower pressure. Small kitchenette was a gem. Hassle free good sized smart TV. Queen bed lovely and comfy. Price had good discount.

I missed the entrance..The tiled pathway was slippery. Bathroom was quite small. Internet got quite slow. 2nd bed was quite hard. The slider door let outside noise in due to the gaps.

I was upgraded to a better room for free, which was amazing! The bed was so comfortable and there was no traffic noise during the night, which was a plus!

All was great. It's an old house but the room had everything I needed and the staff was very helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean. The hotel has free parking and there are shops at walking distance. 5 min drive to the New Market mall and just 10 min drive to Auckland's Sky Tower.

A requirement was a bath and I got the spa bath. Bliss!!! The bed was very comfortable. The room was a great size (a x2 seater couch might be a good idea?). The woman who greeted me took me up to room and closed curtains and put on the heater Friday night and the electric blanket was on too I noticed later. I was hoping to be joined by a friend but that did not happen. It was my birthday and it was my treat away and I just wanted a bath. Loved the big windows and the parking area was great and great for x2 visitors for a short time on Saturday. I got picked up and took the bus into town so very handy right outside door. The special price I got it for was so good too.

Being an old building you could hear some conversations in the evening which could bug some people but for me it was okay. It is a very old building anyway. I did wonder why breakfast was not available? I could get nit picky and say no one to carry my bags (bell boy) and no lift but honestly there were no gripes really. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Good value for money - catered to everything we needed for the night.

It’s not exactly how it looks in the pictures and it is located on a main road and near what sounded like a couple of bars, the night we stayed it sounded like their was a gig or concert happening but other than that will definitely stay again if needing somewhere quick for the night.

Basically everything!! Good location, comfortable atmosphere and room. The staff were very understanding of both my needs and wants (trip plans changing). Wonderful place and I would stay again!

Nearly everything was perfect! The only negative I can think of is that the Wi-Fi wasn’t super strong in my room and therefore I couldn’t really use it.

Over the years I have stayed at Devereux Boutique Hotel many times for business and leisure. It’s always presented as a no fuss and conveniently located Boutique Hotel with Cafes and restaurants only a short stroll away. Really like the new expanded Car Parking and generous bathroom soap and shampoo too !

We were fortunate to be offered a choice of room, which was great. Power wasn't on to TV, fridge but was sorted quickly. Needed iron and ironing board and was informed they were in the cupboard - but only the iron box and water container. Probably staff should check these things are there before anyone stays.

No complaints.
