Wonderful little motel in an excellent location! We went there for the Townsville Running festival and to the start/finish line it was literally a 10min walk. Incredibly nice, the owners/managers granted us a late checkout so we could shower after our race! The room was clean and can easily compare to bigger hotels! Beds were comfy, too. We had everything we needed! Thank you!

A little on the pricey side. I would also mention that it's not a very quiet place, if people talk/sit in front of their rooms at night you hear every word.

This motel is ideally suited away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets, but close enough to walk to The Strand for a great bite to eat, relaxing by the sea and has easy access to one of the main roads that connects to the rest of Townsville. The room is comfortable with all the necessary amenities and there is access to off street parking.

Helpful friendly staff, excellent comfortable bedding & pillows, room was spacious, modern & motel so close to the Strand, but quiet to sleep 😊 👌

Only a small thing but there was no plug to was dishes in bathroom sink but dishwasher liquid & cloth, teatowel is supplied.

I did not have any dislikes about the property. I had an emergency c section two weeks prior and only found the stairs up to our room a challenge but this would have been a challenge anywhere else that we could have stayed with stairs as well. Otherwise I was more than pleased with the accommodations.

The location was excellent for us as we were overnighting prior to an early flight out. Access to the motel is via a quiet backstreet, not the main road. The parking area was clean and freshly painted. There is even an undercover break-out area where other guests were playing cards when we arrived. Our room was spaceous, modern and clean with a full-sized fridge. We had a lovely outlook to Castle Hill. We left our window open and did not notice any traffic noise at all.

Many of the rooms are on a first floor accessed by stairs. This wasn't ideal as we had heavy suitcases. However it is a single straight flight of stairs accessed right from the parking area so it wasn't a problem.

Unbelievably clean. Lovely owner who just goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. I actually hardly ever write reviews for motels but I’m making an exception for Castle Crest because it was just so good!! If only all motels could be like this!

Nothing - it was faultless.

Staff were friendly and happy. Rooms were clean. There was enough parking for everyone and the parks were a decent size. Safe. Carpet was clean Full sizes fridge Shower was high pressure and well regulated. Great location.

Rooms were upstairs which is difficult for some people.

We had a lot tied down to the 4x4 and we were worried about parking height limitations and secure parking as some things like our tent wasn't locked onto the ute. Had no issues with the parking options here, and offered peace of mind as we could see if from the balcony.

Does not have a smart TV meaning no Netflix or any other streaming platforms.

Price, got a really good deal. Lovely staff. Nice and clean. Location, if you don't mind walking. Nice little coffee/food shop at the newsagents nearby.

Paint was peeling off the ceiling in the corners, nothing major. We liked the place.

Second stay here and we absolutely loved it. The room we were put in was perfect, sadly we were only there for a night. Wish we had stayed in there for the first stay. Overall so clean and lovely staff. The place just makes you feel at home. So warm and welcoming. Recommend staying here.
