The Ruby River Hotel is a hidden gem. We stayed here during a conference in July when the weather was hot (90's during the day). The hotel AC was excellent and quiet. We got the best night's sleep in the cool dark room with a comfortable mattress and light weight blankets. Additionally, the staff was exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help us in every way - printing paperwork for the conference, giving us an extra blanket and toiletries, and even for lending us a pot of hot water so we could have hot tea in our room. I can't say enough good things. There was also live music at the restaurant near the river. As a side note, we initially were booked at the Centennial but had a terrible experience, so we changed to the Oxford due to the good ratings but they only had one night available, so our last night was at Ruby - and Ruby was the best for a good night's sleep, amazing staff, and positive vibe. Extra kudos to Heavyn at the front desk. She went above and beyond to help us when we were in a crunch trying to print conference paperwork and every printer in town was booked.

The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable! The facilities were great! Beautiful pool and spa. Located right next to the river. Outdoor patio in the dining area next to the river and the menu at the restaurant was great. So many good selections for everyone... the food was excellent and the wait staff were friendly. The design of the hotel was well thought out. Had a central corridor connecting the buildings, air conditioned, so that you didn't have to go out in the heat to get from the dining area to your room The cost was very reasonable, which we appreciated very much!

The Ruby River , really a is a unique property with a spa like pool and hot tub area with fireplaces chaise lounges a large area to relax. and a separate pool and lawn area for families ,with a lot of activities, all on Spokanes river front. The room is clean, comfortable beds, plenty of pillows, nice hot shower. There was lobby coffee most of the time, with real creamer!

In our unit the AC would come on ,but would immediately shut down,so opening the window to cool down. The door in the bathroom blocks the shower and toilet when open, this is hard for alot of hotels though.(depending on how the hotel rooms were originally constructed ).There is no included breakfast at this hotel, but does offer a pay restaurant.

Courteous staff, literally not one unpleasant interaction with any of the employees at this location. I was not familiar with Spokane, so I did appreciate being able to go back to my room, have a meal and an adult beverage at the end of a long day all on the same property. I felt very safe with the presence of employees on each shift and the security on the premises.

One thing I did not like was thay a couple of the rooms that I stayed in, the hot water in the shower took a really really long time to get hot, but to be fair it was still cold mid-April. I also did not care for the body wash and hair products in shower dispenser, but if I did not have my own, I would use them in a bind.

This cute little motel on the river had everything we needed after a long day's drive. The room was clean and comfortable, the decor tasteful and simple, and our room overlooked a fantastic pool and river walk that would have been great if we had more time to enjoy. The value of this place was also great for the price.

Not much we didn't like. The parking lot was full when we arrived late at night and we had to park far from our room, but that's about it.

Your hotel was very nice and liked being by the river. Would definitely recommend it to others but be careful what you asks for. What I didn’t like was that I was charged $10.00 more for a room by the river. At first I was OK with it but once we got to the room and saw the view of an old empty pool, surrounded by ugh fences, orange cones, and yellow tape, it took away the whole beauty of the view. Which we were not informed of! If I was informed of this I would have taken another room. Your staff needs to be more up front.

It’s all started in first question.

We have stayed at the property many times over the years and the renovations have really brought this place back to life. We had a preference for building and room location and we were very pleased they were able to accommodate our request. The weather was very hot and there were many family groups evident but we always found a good spot by the pool when we wanted to cool down for a while. The AC was very efficient on the hot days and we loved the river view and chance to sit outside and enjoy the warm evenings. We will be back.

It was very a very busy week so the front desk was often lined up and parking was difficult at times. Using the online options for partial check in and checking out really helped and it will be better when more guests use these features. The parking spots are quite large and it's irritating when other guests take parts of 2 spaces. This is not the motel's fault, I just needed to rant about inconsiderate guests. Please, don't be one of them!

This is a fabulous location, right on the riverwalk, with excellent parking. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The restaurant is quite nice if you don't feel like venturing out (but great things await right nearby). The multi-use path goes all along the river, right into Gonzaga.

Only one thing I noted could be better: the fitted sheet on my bed didn't actually fit over the comfy king mattress (maybe because of a topper?) I would love to see this addressed before my next stay. I don't know if the smaller beds have the same issue.

Check-in staff were friendly and responsive; facilities were clean and well kept. We stayed in a first floor room with two queen beds and a patio facing the river; the room was ample for the two of us and our dog. We were there in July which provided a lovely view of the river. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable and provided great sleep. There's an onsite restaurant, Osprey, that we dined at twice; once for Saturday brunch and the other for late light dinner & a frozen cocktail. The service and food were great and the frozen cocktail was perfectly suited for the warm evening on the dining patio facing the river. We plan to stay again.

I'd somehow been booked for 2 rooms through a 3rd party service but didn't notice because of the way the emails were structured. The staff were very understanding (wish i could name him, I checked in at around 2:30 Aug 4) and got me in the room i wanted, even though I was early. After I'd finally got through to Bookings.com, the staff took care of my refund right away. Bar staff were also amazing.

Resaurant refused us room service in my friends room, claiming they "were too busy with customers" and "might run out of food" Looked like there were different menu options depending on the time of day though
