The property sits in a spectacular location. the check in people were very nice. The family room ( 2 adults and 2 children) was generous in size and clean. The decoration on the room was functional. The breakfast was included in the room price. It was ok. The garden and views are quite spectacular. the property is located in Sant'Agnello, close to Sorrento. The village has its own train station before the Sorrento stop. maybe around 800 meters from the hotel. From there we walked 35’’ to get to Sorrento or use taxi from Sorrento and paid 15 euro. All in all a fantastic place!

The location was fantastic. I loved the history of the place. The staff were lovely, welcoming and very helpful. I had a single room with a sea view, in the main house. Ideal. Simply furnished but very clean. Comfortable bed- I slept very well. Nicely tiled en-suite with a good shower. The panoramic terrace with stunning sunsets and wide views over the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius. was just opposite my room. There was a very good restaurant and a bar. There was a safe in the room, a desk and chair. Ample room for clothes.

It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room, to keep drinks cool. A bottle of water too. Thus didn’t inconvenience me. Just a suggestion, especially in the hotter months.

Location is brilliant, lovely gardens and sea facing balconies. The decor in the house was very good as was the size of my room. Friendly and helpful staff. I would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Breakfast could have more variety. How difficult is it to add some Muesli and eggs ? This breakfast issue appears in many previous reviews. (?)

I had a sea view room, fantastic. The room was quite adequate for a single room, I could have wished for a bigger shower cubicle but it worked and the water was hot. Breakfast was okay. I would have liked muesli to be offered with the cereals but having fried eggs was great instead of the scrambled that you usually get in hotels. For us the location was perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but close enough to walk in. This hotel has a restaurant that is open for both lunch and dinner, it has a good a la carte menu and in the evening there is a set menu offered for €20 as well as the a la carte. We will definitely stay here again.

Villa Crawford is classed as a religious guesthouse. This means that it is not like your usual hotel and the emphasis is on tranquillity and calm. The Villa is beautifully furnished with antiques and is light and airy. The whole place is spotlessly clean and the staff go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one. The sea views over the Bay Of Naples are stunning and I spent many happy evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine gazing out at the view. The gardens too provide a quiet refuge from both the sun and the hustle of the outside world. The set menu in the restaurant is well cooked and presented - but if you like a large meal you would be better off with a la carte. The restaurant is situated on a lower terrace and dinner is accompanied by views of the sun setting. The staff here are excellent and it is very well run. The little bar serves drinks and snacks. The rooms are large and basic but spotlessly clean. Please do not book here if you want a lively hotel experience. But if you want a relaxing place to recover from the stresses and hustle and bustle of life it is perfect.

There were 2 occasions where communications between the catering side and the guesthouse side could have been better. We tried to order dinner on a Saturday just as we were leaving for a whole day out and were told there would be no restaurant service as a wedding party was taking place. This should have been communicated in advance to allow people to book elsewhere. Fortunately we found the Moonlight restaurant about 4 minutes walk away and liked that so much we went back & recommended to others. The next day we booked dinner but were then told when we went past the breakfast room that dinner would be in there. Again - please give guests notice. Hopefully the manager will see this and take notice and I did raise it with the lady on reception.

Room 303 has an incredible view of the sea! Also on the 3rd floor is a terrace with stunning views. Very cozy and beautiful small park. Great staff ready to help with any request.

There is no soundproofing, I could hear my neighbors, and at 6 am someone was bringing a chair from the incredible viewing terrace and you could hear it as if it was done in your room. Breakfast without fruits and vegetables. You can't drink and eat in the room what you bought from outside. There are no mosquito screens, everything comes very quickly when the windows are open.

Everything. This is a truly unique and exceptional hotel with incredible views, friendly and attentive staff, and comfortable rooms. The balcony overlooking the Gulf of Naples is an irresistible spot to watch the sunset, and the easily missed roof terrace is an absolute must visit. The location is ideal, positioning you a walking distance from Sorrento without being too loud or busy, and also a short walk from Piano De Sorrento (with the best beach in the area) and St Agnello centre. The hotel is just fantastic and I'm already counting down to when I can stay here again.

Loved this accommodation. Such a beautiful place and the balcony was amazing. Made us feel very special. All the staff were very helpful, especially the bartender, breakfast/snacks lady and the curly haired woman on the front desk (apologies for not knowing names). We had a triple room and it was clean and reasonably sized, especially the bathroom. It's an easy 10-15 minute walk from the train station, and we also walked into Sorrento a couple of times (about 20-30 mins), which is nice if you're not in a rush and it's not too hot, otherwise there's a bus stop outside Villa Crawford (but the buses only seem to come about once an hour and not to time). Just down the road is an entrance to go down through the cliff to the 'beach' below. Totally worth doing this, as a unique experience, (both the walk down and the swim).

This is not a dislike, but a suggestion. An information booklet in the rooms would be useful, as there was a lot of information given to us on arrival (especially involving the different menus and where you can eat) and not only was it hard to remember it all, but it must be exhausting for the staff to go through it with each new guest! Including a printed timetable for the bus would also be great. Also an iron in the bedrooms would be useful.

I had a wonderful stay here. Despite of course seeing the photos beforehand, I was taken aback how beautiful the villa was, especially the garden and the rooftop terrace that I had a direct access to from my room. The room was just the right size, spotless with a view over Napoli and Vesuvius. Breakfast was rather simple but I didn't mind, the staff was nice. I loved the overall peacefulness of the place. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever came back.

It's a 15 minute walk from the train station and not all of the buses in the direction of Amalfi stop in S'Agnello.

We love everything about Villa Crawford, and this was a return visit because the first time we came I decided we had to come back! The best part is the AMAZING setting (perched atop a cliff overlooking the sea with sweeping views of the bay and coast). It is so nice to stay in this beautiful historic villa. The common areas, rooms, and gardens are wonderful! The staff was extremely nice and helpful. One of our tours fell through, and they helped me replan our day and set something else up that turned out perfectly. Finally, we loved the food. The breakfast each morning was very good! Do not miss out on dinner there! We love sitting on the veranda watching the sun set over the water while enjoying the outstanding food! The cost for all of this was very reasonable. We paid a lot more at hotels in Italy that are nowhere near as good. If I can save up the money to visit Italy again, I definitely want to return to Villa Crawford!
