Pretty property. It’s about fifteen minutes from town and about ten minutes from cell service. Blackwood has lots of glowworms directly behind the house, which was really special. There are lots of parrots who visit for birdseed and a possum who cleaned up the leftovers.

Lack of WiFi. Although it’s clearly stated, it should be offered. We didn’t like the thought that we could lock ourselves out accidentally and have no way to get in contact with anyone. The property is pretty remote, and we saw no one else on property while we were there. (That’s a positive —-except if there is an emergency.)

Beautiful, quiet location surrounded by trees and the sounds of birds. Seeing glow worms was pretty special! The cottage was clean and comfortable and spacious enough for a family of four. The beds were really comfy and we enjoyed having a spa bath. We brought the kids along but would also be a nice place for a couple. So tranquil. And I think it was good value for money too.

There is no internet or phone access which was fine - nice even - for a couple of days but may be an issue if we’d stayed longer.

The property is amazing, super cosy with everything you could possibly need. All the kitchen equipment was great with tea, coffee, oil, salt etc provided, making meal prep super convenient. The property was spotless and the host provided great recommendations about the area, and even wildlife guides for the property. We got to see everything from alpacas, possums and king parrots to glow worms and kookaburras. There was bird seed provided so you get to see them up close!

Nothing, it was perfect!

It was quiet and secluded. The house had everything we needed. It was comfy and cosy and without TV reception, phone or wifi we were able to have a much needed electronics break.

Unfortunately there were no alpacas and little other wildlife other than the possum that ran across the roof and the birds that were waiting to be fed. No bird seed though.

The location was perfectly quiet with loads of wildlife. The bird seed provided was very thoughtful and such value for money I loved the drive from Apollo bay to the accommodation as it really felt like an adventure. I'm glad I had a big Ute, but a smaller car would of been fine too.

Beautiful forest with tall trees. A beautiful cottage in a serene surrounding. We were there in April.

Cheap little gas BBQ stove of thin sheet metal and weak burners that you can't cook a nice BBQ.meal with. A big disappointment for us, 4 adults, as we came with food to be cooked on a BBQ and we couldn't cook the meat properly.

Tall Trees Eco Resort far exceeded our expectations. It’s clear the owners care about their guest’s experience during their stay and over deliver on the goods. Every little detail was well thought out, from bird feed for the local parrots to extra blankets for the cooler evenings. It felt like a home away from home immediately and there was no better feeling than sitting on the porch watching wildlife happen around ourselves. if you’re looking to disconnect from technology and get in tune with nature, look no further than Tall Trees.

No meals included, but the property has a great kitchen to prepare meals and it included items as coffee, sugar, tea, oil, salt. It is place for solicitude and peace. Some books and games if someone is interested. The closeness to nature is awesome, the sounds and sights of the birds a great experience. Even you can see alpacas in the property.

Perhaps to have an extra toilet and mirror in each bedroom. But that is just being a little bit wingy, but overall the property is excellent. I could visit it again, the surrounding areas are spectacular.

Secluded and private, the cabin was perfect for a very peaceful short break away. There is plenty of hiking in the area, with lots of beautiful bushland and wildlife.

Nothing to add from our experience, although I imagine arriving after dark could be stressful for some who are not familiar with driving on rural unsealed roads.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, the cottage itself was very comfortable, and the glow worms were amazing. Great to have them just outside the cottage, and then just going for a little walk to the glow worm alley there were so many more! By far the most glow worms we've seen anywhere in the Otways.

A lock on the bathroom would be nice
