Hotel, was clean, friendly and in good location on the sea front.

Would have been nice to have breakfast available, but very good bistro with sea view near by.

The staff, particularly Winston and Sophie. I had read lots of reviews of the Alexandra prior to booking and many of them mentioned Winston. From the minute we arrived until we left four days later Winston AND Sophie did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We liked: The walk-in shower, most hotels have a shower over the bath but if you have mobility problems a walk-in shower is ESSENTIAL. Our sea view room had wonderful views over the promenade. Individual reading lights above the bed were a plus. An illuminated touch sensitive bathroom mirror - posh! Comfortable beds and pillows. A lift which is very useful if you have lots of luggage. Finally, the hotel is within easy walking distance of cafes, restaurants, theatres and of course Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club. Oh I nearly forgot - we arrived as guests but left feeling as if we were part of the family who manage the hotel.

Really friendly check-in, as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a lovely lady who made sure we were happy with our rooms, lovely modern and clean rooms. The shampoo and shower gel that was provided was a very nice touch. Overall very impressed in comparison to a couple of previous stays at other very run-down seafront hotels nearby. We'll definitely be booking to stay here again in future!

It's really hard to fault anything after our stay as it was a lovely hotel with lovely staff, but if I absolutely had to pick something, it would be that the bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable, but that could be down to personal preference, absolutely wouldn't put me off booking again in the future.

I was going to the Eastbourne tennis and the hotel was a few minutes walk away. The hotel provided a parking card so I was able to park on the road opposite for a much cheaper price. I only paid for the room but there was a very good cafe nearby for breakfast. The staff were very helpful and the room was really clean.

It was a small single room and it was very hot whilst I was there. Although I opened the window, it didn't get much cooler. This wasn't the hotel's fault as I asked for a sea view. If you are travelling alone, maybe ask if there are single rooms which are larger.

The Alexandra hotel makes a very good impression. The furnishings throughout the hotel are of good to very good quality and in very pleasant colours. The staff are extremely friendly and courteous, special praise is due to Winston. The location - directly opposite the beach - can only be described as excellent. Breakfast is brought to the table, is very good and extensive, and special requests are gladly taken into account by the staff. All in all, the hotel is highly recommended. I would stay there again on a return visit to Eastbourne!

This is the second year in a row that we’ve chosen this hotel for our stay in Eastbourne to watch the international tennis tournament. As before, we’re overwhelmed with the good choice. The hotel is really convenient for the tennis centre (5 minutes walk) with local shops and good restaurants. In addition, the beach is just across the road. Our hotel room had fantastic sea views (floor to ceiling windows) and really comfortable beds (queen and single size), wardrobe, dressing table and nice round table with 2 chairs by the window to take in the views.

We did like everything but might suggest that as the hotel is a “4 star”, there should be a fridge in the room! Also, it would be an idea to have a hand rail in the shower!

The staff were lovely! I didn't catch the name of the young girl on the desk who seemed to be there all the time, as another member of staff was on holiday, and she was covering. But nothing was too much trouble. The room was fantastic, with lovely views out across the beach. The hotel currently doesn't do breakfasts or other meals but from what I can gather they're hoping to start again at some point. Lovely clean sheets and towels, good hot shower, and a nice old building that has recently been renovated. Hopefully we will be back next year. 😊👍

Hi, I'll tell you honestly, I really liked the hotel, if I'm asked where I'll stay in the future in this city, it will only be this hotel and I can recommend it to anyone, upon my arrival, I personally mixed up the numbers and it turned out that I arrived a little earlier than necessary .... But thanks, special thanks to the hotel employee Maria, we solved this problem very quickly and comfortably for both parties, Maria, thank you and I wish you all the best, also shine every day, always stay in a good mood and all the best wishes to you

I can't say anything bad at all, everything is great in this hotel

We were upgraded on arrival, as the restaurant was almost up and running following their recent re-opening. However, we didn't mind as we found some rather good eateries in the area. The view from our room was awesome. The room was sooo comfortable, clean, cosy, safe, and fresh. The staff were so kind and accommodating, and there is even a little lift to go up in - handy for us! Totally recommend this hotel, 100%. We will definitely stay there again if we're down that way. This is definitely a Prince Hotel (to find the Handsome Prince, sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs...). Nothing wrong with the room, the bathroom, or the facilities.

Nothing. I am really pleased to say this was one of the exceptions - many hotels aren't even worth wasting time on, as people will try them anyway. But the Alexandra Hotel certainly deserves an awesome rating from my wife and me. Thak you to the staff there for doing a fantastic job of making our stay exceptional.

The hotel is in an excellent location on the waterfront but away from the pier. Lovely sea views from our bedroom window and comfortable beds. Everything was clean and the hotel has been recently refurbished.

The tea making facitilities in the room were functional but with only one teabag per person, a bit minimal. More teabags please! A full English breakfast was offered, which was great, but the alternative continental option could be higher quality. Worth investing in real croissant from a local bakery, for instance.
