Well designed room with a lot of privacy around each bed. Each guest had their own locker with a safe inside. The pool area was compact, but a nice place to relax. Good location just 5 minutes walk to the centre of town and the beach, and 1 minute walk to the Greyhound station. Kitchen was quite big and plenty of places to eat, both inside and outside.

Kitchen needs some attention - there was lots of mouldy food in the free box, all fridges were absolutely stuffed to the brim, there were very few utensils and cutlery available, all pots and pans were old and broken.

I had an extraordinary stay. Staff was very friendly, let me drop my suitcases early and use the pool area before check in. The pool area was lovely, but the room was over the top - 4 bunk bedroom with private bathroom, aircon, brand new mattresses, a fridge and sound insulation. Slept like a baby, it was so so quiet at night. People were friendly too. The hostel recently bought the hotel next door and converted their rooms into 4 to 6 bunk bedrooms with private bathrooms, so it really feels like you're in a hotel. The location was great, too. I also liked the locker system where everybody has a small locker for groceries in the kitchen. I honestly think this is one of the best hostels in Australia.

The kitchen could have been a bit cleaner.

I really liked the room was immaculately clean and I was very lucky to be sharing with some nice girls. Usually, I end up doing a quick clean of most rooms because my first job was a hospital cleaner. The bathroom had a rain shower which was a new experience for me. I felt so clean. The TV, lights nightlights ect all worked.

Apparently, the hostel has an age limit of 35 but this was not explained when I booked on the internet. I am told it was in the small print. I am not sure if this is a law or a guideline. The receptionist was surprised I was 62 and going to the Boney M concert. I reasoned the ageing process happens to everyone (provided you live long enough), so I thought most people would cope. I think my logic worked because she smiled. Also, the hostel is locked at 11.00 pm. Do you have a nightguard?

It wasn't fully booked, so I had enough personal space. The room had heating so it was warm. You can borrow a hair dryer from the reception with an ID as deposit. You can get hot water from the pantry.

Toiletries like shampoo and body wash were not provided. The pantry was not very clean, so I didn't spend much time there. The reception in bunk isn't 24 hours, if you check-in after 7pm, you'll have to go to another building (next to bunk) for check-in. There are not enough lights in the room, the beds basically blocked all the natural lights. Sometimes you have to use the torch in your phone to be able to see things.

I booked 4 females hostel then I updated the grade of the hostel which is a bigger room and having a small kitchen, living room with TV screen and a bathroom. It made me feel comfortable while living there for a week! I experienced with this hostel several times. And I hope to visit there in the future!

Spacious room with good wifi, helpful staff, comfortable bed and modern interior. The location was also great which allowed us to easily get into town & use the local tram service.

The bathroom was quite small, and the door to our ensuite blocked our shower, which made it hard to get in & out. The closeness of our room (third floor) to the rooftop bar (floor below) was also a bit noisy.

The Bunks were cubical style which was great made it very private even in a shared room. Was all new facilities and an awesome location. Walking distance to beaches and township. Loved the PowerPoint's and lights each bed had its own right near the pillow end.

No coffee machine to buy coffee or coffee available to make your own without having to leave premises to buy one.

Hot tub next to the pool!! It was incredible and a great way to meet people. The kitchen was big enough and very convenient. A lot of comfortable common spaces to eat and chill. The room was built in a way that gave great privacy to everyone in the room. There was a light and power in every bed. Very comfortable, and there was also a balcony. The location was amazing, right on the greyhound bus station, 2 minutes from the beach and shops, and right on all the public transport lines. It's super easy to get anywhere.

The kitchen could have been equipped a bit better, sometimes basic things like forks were missing. Price was a bit steep, but I suppose it is a good hostel in a great location. Some more hooks in the room would've been good.

Well presented dorms with purpose built bunks; not the rattling metal bunks you often get! Facilities and social were spaces were nice and the location was great

For me the mattresses were rock solid and very uncomfortable- so much so I had to move rooms which was better but still not great. I do however think it was great value for money considering the standard of the hostel
