Cleanliness and comfortable room

Breakfast. The dining room was far too small for the size of the hotel with people queueing up waiting for a table to become available. The buffet English breakfast was cold on both occasions. We were very disappointed considering the amount charged. If we went back we would book room only.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right by bus stops, right by the water, and with easy access to anywhere I needed to go. Staff were friendly, helpful, reaponsive and accommodating. The room was nice and clean with a very comfortable bed, and the amenities provided were a nice touch.

Shower and sink setup are a bit awkward, it's hard to wash up without getting water everywhere, and I had to keep asking for an extra hand towel to wipe up the excess water around the sink. Not a huge issue, but there was a bit of miscommunication with the housekeeping staff, where they would either not remove or replace a used towel that I had placed in the tub, but the next time they would remove perfectly clean towels from the racks, which I was planning to reuse. I ended up leaving notes with explicit requests on what to do with the towels.

Lovely hotel in a great, central location. On arrival, we were upgraded to a room with air-conditioning, which was greatly appreciated on one of the hottest days of the year. The room was light, airy, and cool. The bathroom had a good selection of toiletries We had a lovely view across the dock and beyond. Staff were polite and friendly. There was an excellent selection available for breakfast in a beautifuly set out restaurant, again, with views across the river. We enjoyed a cocktail in the bar on our last evening. There was a very good selection of drinks available and very well priced for a hotel bar.

Maybe need a loo brush in the bathroom. Whilst the rooms are serviced daily, it's nice to make sure the loo is clean in between being serviced.

Clean, comfortable room with all that we needed for our two night stay and we had a wonderful view from the 6th floor. The air conditioning was a life saver during such a hot weekend. The reception and bar area were impressive and the easy access from the car park was appreciated. There were plenty of options for breakfast and all was top quality. All the staff we encountered were helpful and polite. Overall we were very impressed.

Although a coffee pod machine was on top of the desk we only found the other coffee and tea equipment on day two of our stay. It would help to have this information clearly provided.

Everything wonderful except for one thing. - no coffee/tea making facility in the room.

No coffee making tray which I would definitely expect in a hotel of that standard of luxury and price. Even Travelodge provides that beautifully. I had a room upgrade so I shouldn't really complain but even then the room size was quite small around the bed itself. A technical issue in the bathroom was that you can only reach the on/off knobs by standing underneath the shower head which I think is dangerous. It's physically impossible to test the water temperature before being hit by the full shower. This is because of the extreme narrowness of the shower cubicle. I think that's a serious failing for such a high quality hotel. I didn't say anything but I wonder how many comments they receive about that

Lovely hotel with a quiet air of sophistication. Great location for Bristol centre. Very handy for the Hippodrome and The Beacon concert hall. Rooms have been upgraded to a high standard. Very comfortable beds. Good air con. Very polite, friendly and attentive staff. Good breakfast in a lovely dining area with views to the waterways. A hotel of high standards and at a very reasonable price. Would definitely stay here again.

As in so many hotels_ not enough of the little pots of milk in the room to go with your hot drinks, but this is only a very minor issue and I'm sure if we had discovered this before _the hotel would have rectified this.

The staff at the Bristol hotel were so friendly, particularly the waiting staff in the restaurant/breakfast room. Many of the waiters/waitresses were university students. They spoke so well and their customer service was excellent. Breakfast was buffet-style with a lovely selection of hot and cold food. Room service was also available for breakfast but I did not choose this option so I cannot comment. My room was quite big. A deluxe room. However, it overlooked the 'ferris' wheel and the bars etc so it was very noisy until late into the night. The bed was very comfortable though with soft fluffy pillows so it didn't take long for me to fall asleep! I chose this hotel for the proximity to Bristol Temple Meads station which was less than a mile away and easily accessible on foot. The walk to Cabot Circus took around 15 minutes.

room service ends at 10pm. Not ideal for anyone who was looking for a late night snack!

Very comfortable room on the top floor, overlooking the docks. I had asked for a quiet room, and the hotel staff did in advance warn us that this might be difficult consistent with a dock view on weekend nights. It clearly is a buzzing place, with a great nightlife, but the double glazing of the room meant we were able to sleep and relax in spite of the nightlife so nearby. I do wonder whether we might have been a bit warm in the room in high summer without the windows open, but this was not a problem for our stay. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast delicious, and this hotel is in a great location to walk and get to know the city, and for a regular bus to Clifton village. It was great to have a car park, but we did not need our car for our trip.

Wonderful location with parking next door. Warm welcome from reception and information shared regarding our stay. Our room was on the 6th floor overlooking the Harbour. Views were beautiful both day and night. A very comfortable room with refreshment facilities included. Great to enjoy a coffee with a great view. Comfortable bed ensured a comfortable rest overnight. Having experienced the warmest week thus far this year we were extremely grateful for the air conditioning (it would have been unbearable without it). Special mention to staff at Breakfast. Honestly the BEST customer service we have ever experienced! Having a slightly later check-out time allowed us to enjoy breakfast with ease and enjoyed the harbour view once again. Wide breakfast selection too. Check-out was smooth and again staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely return in future.

This didn’t affect our stay but fresh juice at breakfast was very weak/watery and sausages were very dry. Coffee wasn’t the greatest either.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was super clean and tidy, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My room was absolutely perfect — spacious, beautifully decorated, and I had the most stunning view. I had also requested a room with a bath, and it was ready exactly as I asked, which made my stay even more special. As I was visiting the city to celebrate my birthday, I was so touched to find a "Happy Birthday" card, chocolates, and 2 gin waiting for me when I arrived — such a thoughtful and sweet gesture that made me feel truly celebrated. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
