From Italy Germany or world? 😄 I liked a lot staying at smart hostel Sofia. Everything was clean thanks to the girls working there and taking care of the place. The kitchen is big with lot's of stovetops, 2 fridges and also big freezers. In addition tee and coffee for free. Dining room where very big and a good meeting point for people enjoying their meals together. At the entrance room takes also twice a week a movie night place. Bunk beds were quite cozy and bathroom quite big and well organized. especially they had 5 washbasins each floor. I would stay again

Well on 2023 I guess every hostel should have curtains on bunk beds for more privacy. Also a few hooks in the toilets and especially next to the washbasins (sinks) for towels and other belongings would be helpful. I suggest every hostel owners, to spend and sleep 48 hours in a row in the own premises in order to gain better empathy for the needs of their guests

I come here often when I stay in Sofia, easy to go to the airport with public transportation. Workaway staff is usually friendly and the check in is smooth.

I like to socialise in the hostel, now they are offering cheaper prices and they provide accomodation in a different building 2 minutes away from the main hostel. Here people have no rules at all, it's a hell in the night until very very late. If you're staying 1 night it would be still valuable for the money, if it's not be sure to get a room in the main hostel, where I always had a much better experience.

Free tea coffee. You can cook. Comfortable bed thanks God wasn't nobody over me

Was in shocked first cuz was taken to other building which was abandoned like others next to it and just started renovating. Everyone can enter cuz no lock at main door . I think someone took drugs inside. Just rooms around the kitchen with few tables. No possible to relax sit down or chat

The check in&out was quick. The main entrance is open 24/7. The location is perfect. Couple of shops nearby. The guests were quiet and nice. The bathroom was clean.

I visited the hostel in February my room was really cold and the heater only worked 23:00-06:00. In the afternoon I had to wear double pants...

Nice atmosphere, helpful volunteer staff. Guest kitchen was OK. Location was OK. Big locker in dormitary; use your own 🔐lock, or buy (non refundable) one in reception for 10lev.

Rather small dormitaty. Facilities were not bad but also not great. The big problem is the price: you can find a hostel with same facilities/atmosphere/location with HALF the price-so it is up to you to decide if you want to give that money. Check sites of well-recommended hostels (see wikitrravel) to confirm that what I am saying is true.

Affordable hostel in a good location. The guy who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. And I thought the hostel was clean and well maintained.

You have to dispose your toilet tissue in a waste bin, but the waste bins don't have covers. That's not sanitary–and it's gross. They need waste bins with covers.

Perfect for adventurers who wants to meet new people, do your own laundry and cooking. This is what hostels should be. Place is decent in cleanliness. Bed was ok.

Cold showers in the 3rd floor. I have to go to the 2nd floor to shower up. Place needs maintenance, broken doors, locks and unusable bathrooms. I know upkeep is hard. Especially, with many visitors going through. Maybe they will fix it next week. Who knows? I only stayed 2 nights. They can benefit from lockers in the room. And more hooks for clothes and towels.

Great overall. Good WiFi, comfortable beds, big rooms, enough lockers and electric outlets. Good hostel experience. Near city center. Train and bus station is little bit more complicated as there are no direct connections but you can easily walk there. The supermarket is near, so are some eating and drinking options. Great communication beforehand. And you can pay via booking.com

They could be more strict about the no drinking policy as some people were drinking and being kinda loud just in front of the hostel. But not for long and they weren't aggressive or anything. There was hot water just in one day out of three. But maybe I was just too late to showers. Some of the staff could be at least basically educated about the city where they work in. But the other receptionist was local and helpful.

The best thing was that it was quiet - no parties or loud music/shouting. I consider it good value for money. The location is within city center, only few hundred meters from the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and 5min walk to Metro station Serdika. I stayed in the mixed room on the upper bed, everything was comfortable. Each bed has its own small locker and a night lamp. The staff were very friendly. You can even buy a lock at the reception. They have evening activities like card games or movie nights. The shower even as it is a bit old and I felt like it needs some repairs (almost falling plaster), it was clean. I recommend staying here, its not new but it will do very fine for basic travellers.

The location was fantastic. It was very easy to get to and in turn made the parts of the city I wanted to see much more accessible. The lockers in the dormitories were also a good size, and the fact you provided padlocks at the front desk meant I could feel very secure even if I hadn't brought one of my own. The lounge areas were nice, if a little small, and I enjoyed the film night on the sunday.

The kitchen was a little small, so more than two people being in there would feel incredibly cluttered.
