Restaurant was great for breakfast but not so much for dinner- seemed staff were short it disorganised. Food arrived in cold plates and before wine did

The reception team was very helpful and efficient in finding and booking the restaurants in the towns around the hotel.

Everything was relaxing except when the maintenance people started to clean the floor in the massage area and touchup the paint on the walls at the pools area.

We loved this hotel. Thank you for the room upgrade, but we would have liked it so much regardless of the room. It’s is classically styled so if you like ultra modern then don’t book it. If you want a hotel with some history, lovely soft towels, lovely toiletries, spa facilities in a lovely little town then visit. It was about 10 mins away from the main square in Pizza with the tower and duomo, and 20 mins from the airport, but in a quiet town with a couple not nice restaurants nearby if you don’t want to eat in the hotel. The spa was lovely, some people moan that it’s dirty - it was not, it is mineral rich water. There is cold water and fruit made available in the afternoon. People say it’s confusing to find your way around but if you use the stairs instead of the lifts then it’s much easier. And the staff were always helpful when we were walking around. And parking directly outside. Not sure what else I can say but it’s a perfect place to stay during a Tuscany road trip or visit to Pisa only.

Great location closed to Pisa. Quiet historical place. nice 18 century building with great thermal water swimming pools and spa. Nice crew, very professional and always ready to help. excellent restaurant. Good well equipped and comfortable rooms. Easy to park. real nice place to be.

We had a beautiful large suite with en-suite bathroom. This hotel has a fine warm outdoor pool and several special pools in its Spa area all of which were great to enjoy. In addition we booked skilfully performed massages which left us feeling relaxed and well. There is an elegant Shelleys Bar for drinks and snacks and an outdoor terrace for that purpose too. The Hotel restaurant provided excellent cuisine and a fine selection of local wines at reasonable cost. We were particularly pleased with the friendly and helpful staff who could all speak English in all parts of the Hotel. The Hotel is located a short drive between the historic cities of Pisa and Lucca which have many attractions. There was on site parking for our car.

Our only minor problem was the Air-Con system which was rather noisy and came on unexpectedly. It proved possible to have this turned off altogether in our room by asking Reception. As a suggestion, it would be helpful to explain this to guests in the welcome letter.

The property was beautiful, beyond perfect and the history of it was also very interesting. The staff went above and beyond to make our honeymoon stay very special. Our room was huge and really made our stay. The spa area was clean and catered for everything.

The spa area needs a little updating but its clean and well equipt. The treatments were slightly overpriced. We also got lost several times and there werent enough sign posts so we could find our way around without asking. Other than that everything was perfect and these things didnt really cause us an issue just points to make for slight improvements. We would recommend and stay again ourselves.

I really enjoyed our stay, it is more than we would usually pay but it was a birthday treat and experience. I really wanted a spa birthday and it delivered. The atmosphere in the building was instantly welcoming and very private. Our room was gorgeously airconned on arrival (I always appreciate this not everywhere does it). We enjoyed the spa and booked one of the couples options. It felt private we had a pool to ourselves for a bit and used the amenities. There’s so many areas to go it feels private. We then had a meal at the restaurant really great service, the food options didn’t meet my fussy eating so they were great in going off menu slightly for me but my partner enjoyed the steak it was a lovely atmosphere and we definitely could of done one more day easily but we were headed home. We initially thought we might need a taxi to pisa airport but it’s actually a short walk from train stop and short distance from pisa station so really easy to get public transport to the airport :) I would recommend and I would come again!

I nearly didn’t book this place due to comments about it being tired and dated but I actually loved that fact it added to its charm and wasn’t as tired as made out (in my opinion)

From our arrival to our departure, this hotel was absolutely flawless in service and presentation. We visited the outdoor pool and had a very relaxing time with some drinks from the bar... followed by returning to our fabulous room and having dinner in the outdoor seating area. The food was excellent and the service was wonderful. The breakfast the next day was also WONDERFUL. I have told so many people about this hotel since returning home. It is nice, also, to be a little outside the touristy area of Pisa.

It's a beautiful building and location, but the staff truly make the experience exceptional. Dario & the team in the restaurant, impeccable service and great recommendations. Helena & Rosalie in the spa were also amazing.
