Everything, another great stay here.😀 There was nothing to dislike. The hotel and staff are all amazing, which makes your holiday. The rooms are spotlessly clean 👌 Location great 👍 Thank you, and we will be back next year.😃

Just about the parking, I do think that some spaces should be purely allocated for hotel users like your apartments. Was not an issue for us at our time, but for some, it was, but saying this, your lovely receptionists would always find you somewhere 😉

The breakfast was good with many options, buffet style with cooked choices too. I liked the way my gluten free toast was served separately. The hotel was very clean throughout, it looked to have been fairly recently refurbished.

Initially we were disappointed with the room, as the photo had appeared to show a better room, but this quickly passed, as we had a great view and everything else was fine. We partly chose the hotel because we thought that we could book evening meals, which we couldn't. However, that was probably a mistake on our part.

Great location, views, room comfort and lovely Cornish breakfast. Very friendly staff and the layout with villas and apartments make it a great setup to accompany the normal hotel complex. Very versatile and great for family and friend colocation breaks. I will definitely use again.

Having arrived back at the hotel at 20:00 the restaurant wasn't open a Saturday evening and due to demand we couldn't get a taxi into town to go to a restaurant in time. Now we know, we would preplan for future visits.

I recommend the hotel because of the location it is really very close to the beach, which is a mega plus. Staff very nice and helpful. A plus is also the swimming pool at the hotel with really warm water. A great plus was the cleanliness, which I pay a lot of attention to. I am satisfied with my stay at this hotel and I recommend it.

As for me, only the mattress was uncomfortable because it was too soft, but everyone likes something different.

The room we stayed in (superior double with sea view on the first floor) was lovely and spacious with modern decor and a really comfortable bed, with the added bonus of a great view across to Porth Beach and beyond. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, from Reception to Housekeeping and the Bar - and the staff serving at breakfast were so welcoming and attentive every morning. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice! Great to have the additional option of a daily special on the menu as well - the omelette we had one morning was delicious. Views from the breakfast room, garden and bar were delightful.

We had a comfortable room, that was a good size and had a beach view. The bathroom was very clean and had a good shower. The hotel had a lovely pool but we didn’t use it. We found a parking space but there certainly wasn’t much to spare. The location was great for us as we were visiting family close by.

There is no lift available but we were offered help with our bags, which we declined. It is a consideration for people with limited mobility.

Friendly helpful staff, great breakfasts, room service excellent, close to Newquay and the beaches, a good place to base yourself to visit other areas of Cornwall.

No bath after day 1(plumber tried fixing problem with plug but needed new parts, made sure our shower still worked though), amount of steps from lower car park is a lot, also no lift in the hotel, I managed ok but older or physically challenged people might struggle.

One of the rooms we booked was sold as having sea views. Slight exaggeration when the only way you could see the sea was from the corner of the window with your neck at a 45 degree angle! Showers only have a fixed overhead. Ideally should also have a handheld shower head. Other than the above this hotel is highly recommended.

It makes such a difference when you are greeted by friendly and helpful staff upon arrival and this was certainly the case here, very friendly staff! We had room 29 on the 2nd floor which was spacious with a big comfortable bed, two easy chairs which were much appreciated (this isn't always the case, even in 4* hotels, often there is just one), tea/coffee making facilities and biscuits. The room and bathroom were very clean and there were big fluffy white towels. It was quiet. Guests can also use the small but really lovely outdoor heated pool which I very much enjoyed. We had vegan breakfasts including vegan sausages (you have to ask for those), there was a good fruit salad too and a selection of cereals with a choice of soya or oat milk. The only pastries we noticed there were croissants but we didn't ask if they were vegan or whether they had vegan pastries. Parking was ok but if you park at the top to begin with and then go out for the evening you may have to park at the lower car park on your return so I suggest you have a look there first in daylight to check which spaces are reserved for the cottages and which are for hotel guests as it is a little difficult to work out at night. The hotel restaurant was closed when we were there but the receptionists are happy to suggest restaurants or even help with ordering takeaways. There is a bar. The beach is easy to reach on foot either by road or a shortcut through the grounds of the hotel.

Just a little niggle regarding safety. The bottom corner on the window side of the wooden bedframe sticks out a bit and the space between that and the corner of the dressing table is quite small and therefore it's easy to bump into it and trip. My husband did hurt his leg doing this. The dressing table could quite easily be placed along the wall opposite the bed and the tv put on a small separate base/table placed a bit further away from the corner of the bed and so allowing more space to get through.

Location and friendly staff. The man with tattoos serving breakfast was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! Thank you for having us.

No phone in the room, it’s a long way down if you do need reception. Air con would also be useful as it’s so hot. But not a huge problem as fans were on reception for guests. Also separate shampoo & conditioners and some body lotion would be good :)
