While the room itself was small, we had an incredible balcony with a view overlooking the Chapel Bridge. The hotel also provided vouchers so we could enjoy a nice dinner at the restaurant downstairs. The vouchers nearly covered our meal and we had a great table on the water looking at the bridge. Very centrally located and staff were friendly and helpful in recommending things to do around the area.

Our room was a tad small, but the view made up for it. Also, watch out for spiders!!! Can't stress this enough and no one tells you, but Lucerne is full of giant spiders and we had a couple hiding around our room and that flew down in front of our faces as we opened our balcony doors. The room signs say don't leave balcony doors open with lights on to avoid mosquitos, but in reality, do not leave your balcony doors open for even a second or you will have massive spiders in your room!

The view of the chapel bridge from the balcony is fantastic.

We went at the wrong time as there was a carnival at Lucerne at that day when we checked in. We actually like the quiet and peace there when we visited Lucerne last time. It would be added advantage if the hotel would inform us during our booking that there will be a carnival. This time round is too noisy for us.

Perfect location on the lake and a short walk from the train station. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast al a carte options were fine for us and our two nights stay.

The weather was very warm and some fans worked better than others, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Not possible to keep the windows open due to the noise from the streets. My son's room didn't seem to have a plug point for the two point European adapter we brought from the UK but ours did so we managed. We were given vouchers for breakfast but were charged extra on the first and last day, even though we were later told that we had credit left from the overall total as we hadn't used all of the value of the vouchers.

Absolutely lovely hotel on the river with the most amazing view of the river and the Chapel Bridge. Very, very comfortable bed with enough pillows. Our room had a stunning balcony and luckily it wasn't too cold so we could appreciate the stunning view quite regularly.

If I had to nit pick it has to be the shower. It works perfectly but I don't like showers very much and definitely not hand showers. To be honest it is only that had a problem so it is a me issue and not the hotel. We also encountered these types of showers at all the other hotels we stayed so it seems standard for Switzerland.

Location, friendliness of reception team, eggs benedict breakfast. Breakfast voucher a bit silly for this swiss hotel. It seems a bit childlike and old-fashioned, not to mention the pointless waste of paper used every day. Our thoughts and thoughts of some others we spoke to about this,...... at check-in, staff should mention a 40 franc breakfast per couple inclusive of 2 coffees is included in your stay. Even better, add this to your info on booking .com.

A chargeable breakfast coffee came as a suprise as no price was shown on our menu for this drink and bo mention of this from the waiter when he offered us a coffee.. The offer of unlimited Swiss water and juice was not something that should even be mentioned. It borders on the line of mimicking cheap, tacky holiday stays. Other point to mention is that when waiting at the lift and a member of the hotel team came by, we smiled, and she just ignored us, 🙁 wasn't polite.

The room was absolutely perfect. The pictures online were old and the room had been completely renovated when i got there with a new bathroom. Views from my balcony were stunning and it was perfect location to pick up bus and train or walk around the shops. As a lone female felt very safe even at night. Staff were friendly and helpful Lovely firm bed and warm room. Loved the flexibility of the food vouchers which i used for both breakfast and dinner Would def stay again thanks for a lovely New Yr memory

Amazing service, very attentive staff. They have also upgraded our room to the room with a river view (we booked one with a city view). We got vouchers for the hotel restaurant (2*18.5 CHF each) and used them for the lunch. One more pleasant thing: we could check in and got the keys before the check in time, as our room was ready. Appreciated that. Location is top.

It was a bit cold in our room, even with a heating. However, it was an angle room, others should be warmer. As we were only one night here, it did not disturb is much.

We stayed in a spacious room with a large balcony (14 sq.m) facing the iconic Chapel Bridge. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning — a full, unobstructed view of the bridge. The room was much larger than expected and exceptionally clean. We were given a meal coupon for the downstairs restaurant, and the staff kindly brought the food up to our room when we asked. The service was outstanding and very thoughtful. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station, yet offering one of the best views in Lucerne. We will definitely return!

Nothing major — everything went smoothly.

The overall ambiance and location of this hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the amenities such as their onsite restaurant which had amazing fondue. They gave us vouchers to use in the hotel during our stay so that was a nice treat. We loved our stay in lovely Lucerne. It was only a five minute walk to the train station, which was very convenient for off site tours we had booked.

The room was on the street side of the hotel and when we had our windows open the sounds of people were really distracting, especially at night while sleeping.

Beautiful location with friendly staff. Room clean but bathroom tiny. We had a small balcony which was nice overlooking the back street and the old city wall.

Work happening on first floor, noise kept to a minimum but using the stairs each time had to walk through it all. Not a problem but would have been nice to have been told. Voucher given to use in restaurant, we saved it for breakfast. Nice food but small portion and still had to pay a small amount towards it but this is Switzerland so everything is pricey! Parking is available at the train station but be warned it’s VERY expensive! We paid 60 francs for 24 hours!
