Excellent home base for my friend and I during our week in London. Location is awesome (close to Paddington station and Hyde Park, multiple Tube lines) and our room with 2 twins was comfortable. Appreciated the well-stocked coffee/tea station, free waters, nice toiletries and shower water pressure. Our beds were also comfortable and it was quiet (very little noise from street or other guests, maybe because it was a less busy time of year).

The bathroom was quite small (sink especially) and we would have appreciated if it had towel racks as there was no where to really hang our bath towels.

- Near a central station (Paddington) but also near buses & alternate tube station (Lancaster Gate) - Quiet and clean, the beds were super comfortable for me. - Staff were lovely and helped me get my belongings to my room. I was also quite early and the room wasn’t ready yet, but they expedited the cleaning of my room as they heard I had travelled to London on very long flights, it was very appreciated

Nothing in particular. I kept in mind that there are no lifts and the rooms are of a certain size, so for me it was a comfortable and pleasant stay knowing this ahead of time.

The room was spacious and quiet. Even if it was on the ground floor next to a road we hardly herd any noise. The beds and pillows very comfortable. The bathrooms was tiny, but the shower big and powerful. Conveniently located between two subway stations (Lancaster Gate and Paddington)

The entrance was small a bit shabby, it gave off a bad first impression. Thankfully the rooms were much better than the rest.

Room was relatively spacious for London standards, in an elegant older building with rounded windows. Bed was firm and comfortable. Room on the third floor was quiet (little road noise), which I appreciated. That said, the building had no lift, so for those with a lot of luggage, this would be a problem.

The bathroom was small, and the shower stall even smaller. People with larger builds may not fit in the shower. The hotel room door didn't close all the way on its own, and had to be pulled shut. Not a huge problem, as an alarm on the door sounded to alert me it was ajar. After hours one needs to check in at the sister hotel across the street. I learned this after my train was delayed into London and I had to call reception to get access, which required some back and forth. Normally not a big problem, but I had emailed ahead of time that I would be late and was not reminded of the check-in procedure in the hotel response, which was annoying after a long day.

Loved the area. Fantastic area to stay in while in London. I had a decent view from my room which was also nice. The stairs are long, but the vintage victorian design was cool. The bathroom was small, but very modern. Beds were comfortable. Just be warned of lots of stairs

I think it was only my room, but my door had to be slammed in order to close it. This was very loud and surely not fun for the neighbors. The bathroom was very small. The room in general was small, but this is normal for London from my experience. Also there was no tooth paste and tooth brush.

The room was really nice and clean, if a bit small. Staff were helpful and accommodating. The location is excellent with very good locally based restaurants, too! Close to Paddington train/underground station and right next to Hyde park

This is a miss on my part as I did not notice that there is no lift. Our room was on the last floor and even though it's floor 4, technically it's 5 or 6 and that was a killer every time. There is no restaurant, bar or room service. I was under the impression this is a 4 star hotel (appeared so on booking.com), but I can't accept that a 4 star hotel wouldn't have a lift or restaurant.

Lovely Georgian building, beautiful big high bay window let the sun in. Design and facilities in bedroom very good (fridge, safe, Nescafe coffee maker, bottled water)

The paint everywhere in the building was scratched, even the wallpsper in my room was scratched. Gave the instant impression, from the front foor upwards that the buildng was unloved. I was expecting a ground floor room as you were adked for a preference. I was one the first floor but steepish staircase up to it - wouldn't recommend to anyone with some disabilities. The floors further up looked even harder. No lift, although a staff member brought my case ip. NO BREAKFAST, but quite a few cafes/restaurants nearby provide breafast at reasonable prices.

Good, modern room. Well stocked with water, bathroom consumables and towels. Staff was very helpful. People should be aware though that this hotel is rooms only, there is no bar/restaurant or other facilities, and the reception is only manned part time. For my purpose it was just what I needed. Location is ideal, 5 minutes stroll from Paddington, Hyde Park and the underground, lots of shops and cafes/restaurants in the area.

Our hotel room was compact, and we had minimal interaction with the staff. The lack of an elevator meant we had to carry our luggage up the stairs. Despite this, the room was clean and centrally located. The sister hotel across the road, where we stored our luggage, had friendly staff. However, the housekeeper at the hotel seemed grumpy. Overall, the room was clean and sufficient for a shower and sleep, although the shower area was quite tight

room is fabulous and the location was less than half mile to my place of work and the underground is a few hundred yards away so excellent location. There room is always clean and tidy, I use this as a regular place for a pied et Terre while working in town. No frills like food or drinks but plenty of that available in Paddington Praed Street. There is only one road which I will come to in the next section...

First time for me to stay on the top floor and now I know why the guest moan when they get this experience. It is a steep climb and there is no lift access. I'm relatively fit with not too much weight but I was breathing heavily carrying up my bags. On entering there was a lady advanced in years with a family who was complaining bitterly about the lack of an elevator. I'd suggest that if you are post 50 years old you might want to look elsewhere even though I think this really is value for money
