We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tan with my wife and son. The hotel is in a perfect location, close to main attractions, and the area is quiet. The room (407) was spacious, clean, and ideal for a small family. The breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of options to suit all tastes. A special mention to the lady in charge of the buffet (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name) – she was incredibly kind, and we loved her warm smile as she greeted us with a cheerful “Good morning.” She truly made our mornings extra special! I’d also like to highlight the exceptional hospitality of the receptionist, who was extremely polite and helpful throughout our stay. The staff overall were friendly, professional, and always ready to assist. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back on our next visit to ISTANBUL

Breakfast and soundproofing could be improved.

The staff was wonderful. Faruk went out of his way to assist with directions and activities, as well as coordinating the transfer. My wife and i needed a pharmacy on a Sunday when most are closed. He assisted with directions as well as calling to ensure they had what we rewuired before we walked there. Emre, Ibrahim and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned daily, with towels being replaced. Breakfast offered a variety of food and we were able to have a good breakfast each day. The location is unbelievable, which allowed for us to explore many sights without needing any transport. The hotel is also walking-distance to a variety of restaurants and take-aways.

The room was slightly smaller than expected, and didn't have a view however this was not selected when booking, and did not affect our stay very much.

Such a nice stay at Tan Hotel. Great rooftop breakfast, overlooking Sultanahmed, always open. Kind and helpful staff from the front desk, housekeeping, to the restaurant. Incredible beds in the renovated rooms. Silent to sleep well. And great location. All my praise to Tan Hotel. Hope they keep the competitive prices so I can come back. Thank you!

Perfect for anyone wanting to be in the heart of Istanbul’s rich history. The room was comfortable and clean, with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. I loved the beautiful views of the Bosphorus from my window and the charming, intimate vibe of the hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to offer recommendations for local attractions and dining spots. The breakfast buffet was absolutely delightful, offering a wide range of delicious Turkish dishes that fueled me up for my daily adventures. What stood out most was the hotel’s attention to detail—it’s clear that every guest is treated with care and respect. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or a week, I highly recommend Tan Hotel. The combination of outstanding service, prime location, and cozy comfort made it the perfect place to stay while exploring Istanbul! I can’t wait to return.

This hotel is exceptionally located, less than 5 minutes walking to the nearest public transport station and very close to everything you want to see in Istanbul, which you appreciate after a long day walking around. The neighborhood feels very safe to walk. The staff was very helpful and kind. They helped us arrange transportation and provided recommendations to move around Sultanahmet. The first night, they took us to a restaurant, Massa Bistro and we went there almost every day to have dinner because it was spectacular. The breakfast was outstanding, with many options that allowed us to fuel up for a busy day, so it helped us save money. They have this nice terrace in the restaurant where you can see the sea and the Blue Mosque, it was magical. The room was also excellent, with a nice view were we sat and enjoyed watching it snow. Do yourselves a favor and book this hotel.

I went to Istanbul knowing I wouldn’t spend much time in the hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful with any questions and advice of attractions to visit. The hotel is not luxury but clean which made a very comfortable stay. They offer breakfast buffet (mine came with the package). The hotel location is 5 mins away from all the main attractions including Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and Topica Palace. Great connections to tram lines which is super easy to use. Amazing leather shops and restaurants very close to the hotel. Hotel offers transfer from and to the airports. Will definitely be using this hotel on my next stay in Istanbul.

Really enjoyed our stay at Tan. Best location, walking distance to all the main sights in Istanbul. Lovely clean rooms. The staff were exceptionally helpful and a pleasure to deal with, especially Farouk in the mornings, who did everything to answer our many questions with patience and kindness. The terrace is a lovely place to spend time over breakfasts, though it is currently not set up for evening service. The breakfast offering had a wide selection and everything was delicious. We stayed twice, on arrival into Istanbul and again after we had travelled around Turkey for a couple of weeks. We were very happy come back to Tan and we definitely plan to stay again on our next trip.

The location is great. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Room is clean, the bed is comfortable. Breakfast is good and has a lot of options. We also got an airport transfer and the receptionist took care of everything. Plus we also got late check out on the house which was amazing:) thank you for everything.

Wifi is not great. It is decent but at times it disconnects, maybe when there is high usage. The only thing I did not particularly like is the sound proofing at the windows. There are cafes really close by and some play loud music until 10-11-12 PM. If you are a light sleeper this might be problematic.

Excellent location and lovely staff. Every day they helped us with our pram in and out of the building and they were always friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and fresh towels always replenished. This was our second visit to the hotel but our first with our child and it was the perfect location for getting around the city as it is within walking distance of all major attractions/sites. There’s plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance also and a shop/supermarket just round the corner. The fridge in the room was really handy for keeping the baby milk cold also.
