This is the second time we have stayed here for a short visit to London. It is close to the end of the M1 so very little London driving needed. Ample parking on the forecourt of the hotel included. It is a short walk to golders green tube and bus station, I am a slow walker so would say 10-15 minutes, but it is flat and you pass some interesting houses so it is a nice walk. Our room was a good size with nice decor and furniture. Super comfy large king bed. We could control the heating in our room. Tea, coffee and fridge provided. All you need for a drink. Bathroom was small but OK with toiletries provided. Shower was good. Room tidied during the day and done with great care and attention to detail. Check in is contactless, but smooth. All instructions sent to you. Very quiet at night. We slept well here. Pillows and bed linens felt of a good quality. We will return when we next visit London.

Nothing, all was good. The decor in the bathroom was a little tired compared to the high standard of the bedroom, but it was clean and everything worked, so was fine for us.

We stayed at Martel Guest House for 3 nights. Everything was perfect - Phil was very professional and friendly, answered every question we had and in general was very easy to reach, the communication was beyond expected. We were also given the option for earlier check in and later check out. The hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood in zone 3, outside of the city center, but it it easily reachable via the northern line. The room was cleaned every single day, including new towels. There is a coffee machine and a minibar with complementary coffee pads. Room 6 was very spacious, with enough storage space and a very spacious bathroom. A nice surprise is that all power outlets had an EU socket.

The room could use some renovation - the bath had some mold, there is a carpet wich is a bid outdated and the windows can't be opened (or at least we didn't try hard enough). The general feeling is that the guest house needs to be updated. We were lucky that we got the room upstairs and the rooms near us were not occupied at the time, so it was very quiet. However, the rooms are far from being soundproof and we could hear other people talking in the hallway.

Great guest house. 3 minute walk to the train station, Room has everything you need. Was a fantastic little find Room had air con Fridge , coffee machine , tv , desk. When we arrived the owner Phil upgraded us for free so we got a better room at the cheaper price. Off to a winner before we stepped into the place. Only thing the key was a pain sometimes in the door, was getting stuck on something and didnt open 1st time. Other than that was fantastic Cheers Phil amd team

Only thing that couldnt be helped was the noise of people. We got woke up about 7am by someone talking outside our room. But that cannot be helped. Would of liked a extra few hours asleep before the busy day in london.

Stayed for 2 nights and we were met by Phil due to an error on the booking.com website, normally it's a contactless check in. Phil was really helpful giving us tips for the area and the best ways to get around. The room was lovely and spacious (sharing with my daughter, you guessed it - we were here for Taylor Swift!) the room/bathroom were spotlessly clean. Be prepared to get things in for breakfast as there isn't a breakfast option, but there is a little fridge and we stored some fruit and things for breakfast/found local cafes which we didn't mind. The staff we met were incredibly friendly. Parking at the front of the property was a great bonus and Phil was so kind and let us keep the car there after check out so we could go and explore one of the museums before heading home. I would recommend booking here and I would book again 🙂.

Nothing, we had a great stay.

The bed was so comfortable - we sleep really really well. The pillows were great. The air con was really efficient, especially in the hot weather. Easy check in. Clean towels everyday. I liked that we got different style mugs everyday so I knew they weren't just swilled out.free parking too.

The shower room was small and could do with tlc to the floor tiles. But given the price and position to central London, wouldn't put us off staying again.

Location was good, short walk from shops and restaurants. Quiet area, felt safe. Kept clean and tidy, friendly staff. Comfortable and big enough for what we need. Was actually surprised at the bathroom, throught it would be smaller. Not the biggest of rooms but enough room to be comfortable. The tea and coffee and especially the water is a great touch. Overall the communication from management was the best, very accommodating, attentive and friendly.

The only thing I think could be improved is a black out blind, I had the blind fully closed but the sunlight and house light from next door were shining through when trying to sleep.

The property is very clean, well mentained. Self check-in very quick and easy. Phil (manager?) let us come earlier which I really appreciate!! Location of the place is perfect, close to the underground and many buses that will take you directly to the city center. Great value for the price.

Don’t really understand the idea of the sink next to the bed (outside the bathroom), might be an issue for somone, all good for us

Lovely neighbourhood, cafés, restaurants and shops nearby. Guest house located in a nice and quiet residential street, 8 minutes walk from tube.

The room has dark, heavy curtains but they don't block out the light completely. The front door of the guest house doesn't lock from the inside. My room was on ground floor and that made me feel a bit uneasy. On the other hand, the window in the room was locked and i couldn't open it to let some fresh air in.

I used to live in Golders Green before, so location was excellent for me. For the price I paid, I got really nice room. House keepers changed towels and made bed every day. There is a kettle, fridge and coffee machine in the room as well. We were also provided with some plates and cuttlery, so it made out small breakfast preparation very easy.:)

The room met out expectations, nothing to dislike.

Amazingly efficient use of space. All facilities right there.A pity they no longer serve breakfast. Also, it would be nice if they had operating instructions by the high quality coffee maker in the room. I got excellent coffee from it the first day, but the second could not remember how I got it to work.
