Where to start? Warm-hearted, down to earth, slowcation, the bakery-pastry odir at breakfeast which was once a buffet and once à la carte, both very delicious and of high quality, attentive and warm-hearted, helpfull, caring and family friendly staff. The rooms are cosy, very clean and have a unique creative concept style around the topic of bakery/pastry/paturage alms etc. Parking immediately at the hotel, enough plugs in the room, free water, free fruits on thw floor to help yourself, comfy beds.. The food in the restaurant was of excellent quality with surprisingly creative and tasteful sides. Not extremely many options on the menue, but this is sign of the high quality that is provided. 30 min. until 2 ski areas that are worh visiting, it was a very positive surprise!

There is nothing to complain about. Absolutely nothing!

I've stayed in this property before and couldn't wait to bring friends back to experience it. Situated in the lovely lakeside town of Stansstad the zum Beck is a short, level walk from the train station. The staff is super friendly, the spacious rooms delightfully decorated with different themes and oh, so comfortable! (My room had a fan as well.) The breakfast is excellent. Can't rate the coffee as I don't drink it but the hot chocolate was superb! There's a delicious bakery adjoining and a small Volg market across the street. Property photos are accurate representations. Highly recommend this property.

All was wonderful!

A cute hotel, with a lovely staff and rooms surrounded by a beautiful nature. The rooms are very creative and clean. Free water and fruits are avaliable for the guests. Highly recommended.

Sadly our room was the smallest of all, and for a week long stay a bigger one would have been better.

This property has a good location and Lucerne city is a 15 min car drive away. We got the Becky room and our room had a big balcony with a great view of the Alps. The room was very spacious and comfy. Breakfast at the restaurant met expectations and the serving staff was very polite and friendly. Free car parking with sufficient space was always available. Room cleanliness was overall good. Wifi was reliable and quite fast.

Few minor points that can be improved upon: (a) Shower area is too small (b) Bath towels and floor mats are sometimes not being changed even after placing them on the shower area as instructed (c) Safety locker was not available in room (d) Lady staff responsible for check-in / check-out can be more friendly. We were welcomed very warmly but after a few days we felt a little ignored.

Much better than we expected, an amazing solution for those travelling by car. A cute, very well-maintained property in a charming quiet neighborhood, with a spectacular (!!!) breakfast, as well as convenient and high-quality on-site dining & bakery options, easy free parking downstairs, comfy beds. All very clean. Friendly staff. Easy 15min suburban train to the centre of Lucerne running every 15-30min just a short walk away.

What a hidden gem of a place just outside of Luzern. I wanted a place outside of the hustle and bustle of the city--we couldn't have chosen a better spot. My friends and I had six rooms, each with a unique and delightful decor. The beds were very comfortable; the bathrooms large and well appointed with toiletries, nice towels and even a washcloth. The location was just a five minute walk from the Stansstad train station which is an easy, scenic 19 minute train ride from the Luzern Bahnhof. Each room had complimentary bottled mineral water and two confections from the wonderful bakery downstairs. Yes. You read that right--the bakery downstairs! Perfect for grabbing a picnic lunch for a beautiful hike or boat ride in the area (I had a wonderful cheese and vegetable sandwich). Breakfast was a delicious ample spread (my friends raved about the coffee, for me it was the hot chocolate!) and the staff was so friendly and inviting from the start to the end of our two day stay. The town, situated on the lakeside, is nice and quiet but there's SO much to do in this area from visiting Luzern and all it has to offer, going up multiple mountains (I recommend the less touristy Stanserhorn in the nearby town of Stans--currently free with your Swiss Travel Pass), boat rides, and taking leisurely hikes through the countryside. There's also a small Volg market across the street. The property's pictures are very accurate. I like to visit the Luzern area in my trips to Switzerland. I have definitely found my new go to place to stay. The Hotel zum Beck has it all for quiet charm, location, and welcoming staff.

That my stay was too short.

Comfortable beds and decent-sized bathroom. Very clean. We stayed for six nights and booked a room including breakfast, but when we visited (mid-December), they have lower occupancy of the rooms so no breakfast buffet. Instead, we got to choose anything we wanted from the à la carte breakfast menu, which was a very good alternative.

The location was perfect, bottled water was provided daily, along with fruits. Upon arrival, freshly baked goods were prepared in the room from the bakery downstairs. The room was clean and the breakfast, varied and fresh.

The room had a bit of a stale smell, but not disturbing and the window was a bit small.

A very good breakfast, which included access to the onsite bakery. The decor is very charming and a little bit quirky but very pleasing.

I was unlucky to choose a day when the restaurant was not open in the evening, but there were a number of choices open in the area of the hotel. I had trouble with the electrical points in the room, which were all Swiss J connection type.

Very hospitable staff, good breakfast menu, very quiet and warm. Bathroom was clean and well equiped.

The bed linens and pillows could use a change or a better cleaning. They were visibly clean but still felt slightly old.
