Authentic atmosphere of the building with a rich history and not too many locators (only 5 rooms for a very big building) , very friendly and helpful service that take cares to make your stay as comfortable as possible with very nice breakfasts, perfect location close to the city center. This is definitely a great place to stay on the island if you want to have good access to all places in the island and also take a walk at night to a city center for some great restaurants.

As its a city center there is no free parking spot closeby, but pricing for the parking is really cheap max 6eur per all day and no fees at night from 19.00 to 8.00 So at the end during the week we paid maybe 5-8 eur. Our room was a bit small but very comfortable (double bed with bathroom). But there are bigger rooms as well (we booked at very last moment). Also sharing areas are very big, well furnitured and you can use them comfortably and joyfuly.

This house is absolutely beautiful - and with an interesting history. It feels like you're staying with family as the house has a sitting area and very cute breakfast area which you can access for tea/coffee at anytime. The bedrooms are traditional, extremely clean with high quality bedding and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was modern with an excellent shower. The location is amazing with several great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Parking is on street but there is plenty available and you only have to pay during the day, so if you're out on a trip you only need to pop a euro or two in the meter to get you over to the next morning. The staff were so lovely, they made contact via WhatsApp before our arrival and are available via WhatsApp for any issues you might have (we didn't have any!). I'd happily stay here again.

Charming hotel. Breakfast was delicious. The location and the views from the balcony were exceptional. Parking is available right in front of hotel around the plaza. The little touches, such as the cakes and liqueurs, tea and coffee were a plus. They had a communal fridge where you could store food items.

The only small complaint would be that the floorboards creak loudly and we could hear the noise coming from the room next door pretty clearly. Also we were in the orquídea suite, and there is a display right next to the entrance to the bathroom with a glass pane where you could see from the lobby into the room.

An interesting building, with character and ambience. We had very welcome air-conditioning in the rooms. The communal area, a large lounge, had lovely views, elegant furniture where one could sit and enjoy the liquor and cake that was left for guests. Breakfast was great, cooked, and continental options all served on by a helpful host. Easy walk to restaurants and shops. We would stay again without hesitation.

A wonderful stay in an exclusive property, full of charm in the heart of Ponta Delgada. This is no bland business hotel. It is a property full of character that manages to blend high levels of comfort with an unforgetable setting. The room is extremely confortable and the whole property is impeccably clean. Breakfast is delightful, with lots of delicious regional produce to choose from. The manager and staff couldn't be more helpful. And finally, wifi works well. Altogether, a great stay. Highly recommended!

The room was in an old building that incorporated a chapel as the front entry, very unique. The room was cleaned and towels changed as often as we wanted. Philip took excellent care of us with check in/check out, even when we arrived late in the day, recommendations for restaurants, shopping etc. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A car rental was literally next door which was very convenient and we were close to everything.

The place and service was excellent for most of our stay. The room was pretty small. We traveled with carry-ons. If we had more luggage, it would have been difficult to move around. The toilet was dripping and we had to keep the door closed so we could sleep. More comfortable pillows would have made sleeping better.

The property is a beautiful old mansion house which is very comfortable, extremely spacious and splendidly decorated. The room where I stayed had a huge living room and bathroom, along with a large table. Upstairs, there is a large sitting room for the guests and the breakfast is facing a nice garden in the back. The staff is very nice and helpful. I was allowed to keep my room well past the check out time on the day of my departure. I will definitely go back when I am again in Ponta Delgada.

Everything was great!

Our suite was very spacious (relative to other places we stayed in Portugal) and comfortable with a sofa and table. The breakfast area was always available with coffee, tea, a water cooler and fridge in which we stored the cheese we purchased from the grocery. Ponte Delgada itself is so small and walkable that any location around the main area would be fine but we found this location particularly quiet ar night which was nice as our ground floor room was right on the street/square. There are very few rooms so you feel as if you are staying in a private house.

Our room had one window at street level and was a bit dark but as we weren't in the room during the day it wasn't a big issue. The breakfast while we were there seemed a bit simple and adequate, only mentioning that because other reviews had raved about the breakfast and we didn't find it something to rave about.

The location is the best, central yet very quiet, walking distance from everywhere in town, 10 min by taxi if not less to the airport. You are in the very heart of old town with the windows overlooking the square. Very friendly staff, big rooms, high ceilings, the house itself looks like a museum and lovely large common area and dining room. Some pastry was offered throughout the day and fruit was in the kitchen. Very clean. There was a kettle and tea in the room as well.

Felt that the air was a little damp like in old houses in the Azores islands.

This is a truly unique historic building. The antique furniture and decorations give it a really museum vibe, especially in the lounge room upstairs where you can find a lot of interesting things. The room we stayed in was a little bit small, but it was enough as we stayed for 2 nights. The bed was huge and super comfortable. The breakfast was sufficient, not a lot of variety, but you have what you need to get the day started: coffee, tea, juice, eggs, cheeses, hams, jam, delicious bread.

It was great and I definitely recommend it for a unique stay!
