Staff during our stay were very nice, let us check in early on arrival as the room was ready which was a treat. We stayed in one of the suites with a bath and we absolutely loved it ! We had a bath every evening, you can angle the tv so you can watch from the bath, they replace the bath salts and towels everyday, there’s so many little extras like robes, slippers, toiletries, the record player etc that make the stay feel really special. The room decor was great and the bed was super comfortable, firm, nice pillows. Only a two minutes away from the marina and Auckland CBD with all the restaurants.

Our only two complaints are noise and the tv. The TV has some kind of special software on it which means you cannot access the guide for the channels, and have to just go through each channels one by one, and the free movies sadly don’t work, they don’t load and are super pixelated which is a shame as we wanted to watch some of the films on offer. Thankfully chrome cast worked. Noise at night might have been because it was the weekend but we could hear a nightclub by the marina until late, and there was a balcony of another room right near our bed so we could hear them. There’s also a consistent loud noise coming from the hallway every 30 mins or so , some kind of loud whirring and it’s quite bothersome at night

The room was so beautiful and the bath was incredible. Especially loved all the little touches that made the room so lush- toiletries, coffee machine, oat milk on request, the staff were friendly and accommodating. We arrived early and could get early check in as well as late check out. Bed so comfy and could choose pillows from a ‘pillow menu’. Great location close to everything, convenient underground parking for a fee. Water pressure in the shower was so good, and free movies on tv. My husband loved the books in the pantry, swimming in the heated outdoor pool and relaxing in the spa. Breakfast in the room was delish.

The movies took a little while to buffer on the net, but no complaints - completely loved our stay, can’t wait to come back

I booked this place as a gift for a couple after looking up reviews. Very happy with my dealing over the phone with a female staff member who was happy to oblige to my requests. The couple had a fantastic time and they said they couldn't recommend this place enough. They would definitely go back! They loved the spa pool, the breakfast was lovely and an added bonus of being served authentic Chai by an Indian chef. Walking distance to the via duct so location is super convenient, parking is available at cost but very practically priced. Booked a suite & were upgraded to Premium Suite. Thank you to all staff!

I stayed at Ohtel Auckland during a recent business trip and was genuinely impressed by the overall experience! The room was spacious, modern, with stunning little details here and there, and extremely comfortable — perfect for unwinding after long workdays. Cleanliness was top-notch, and it was clear the housekeeping staff took great pride in maintaining a spotless environment. They kindly offered to provide complimentary milk (wide range to pick from) and newspapers delivered to the room, plus complimentary drink after check-in. What really stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the staff. From check-in to check-out, everyone I interacted with was courteous, attentive, and genuinely eager to make my stay as smooth as possible. There was a bit of confusion when it came time to get a tax invoice for my stay. I had booked through Booking.com, and initially, both the hotel and the site were pointing to each other as the source of the invoice. While this could have been frustrating, I really appreciated how the Ohtel staff, especially Angel, handled it. They were always responsive and helpful during the back-and-forth communication and ultimately took ownership of the issue by issuing the tax invoice directly. Overall, despite the minor hiccup with the billing, I would absolutely recommend this hotel to other business travellers. The service, premium location, comfort, and professionalism more than made up for it. Learning for me and recommendation to other travellers on a business trip: check upfront the invoice situation if you must obtain one, and avoid the headache afterwards.

Everything! Is all starts of the location and the lovely neighborhood. So close to the marine that you can feel the ocean breeze. All the retro decor in the room were really beautiful and gives us this comfy atmosphere. Full of big windows, that let lots of Sun come in. The bed is extremely comfortable, make you sleep like in heavens. All the staff very kind and ready to assist you with whatever you need. Just loved my stay that I’ve extended some more nights.

I just loved the idea of the vinil but unfortunately in my room the player wasn’t working so well.

Great location, friendly and welcoming staff, Luke kindly looked after our luggage while we returned our hire car. Bed was comfortable and the aircon worked fine. Didn’t use the pool.

Not fans of the toilet and shower being in the room behind not very effective screens, perhaps it’s a generational thing!! We were on a breakfast included rate, but in this hotel that means you can only choose one item off their a la carte menu plus a drink. Anything else you get charged extra! Nothing like a breakfast included in a similarly priced hotel so sorry, wouldn’t stay again if ever we return to Auckland.

Great location just 2 minutes walk from the marina and loads of restaurants. We loved the decor with its 1960/70’s theme. Our room faced over the swimming pool at the back of the hotel and was very peaceful. Staff were lovely and very helpful. We took breakfast every morning ; unlike some hotels that charge a fixed rate for breakfast even though you only want a piece of toast, this was an a la carte style menu so you select and pay for what you want. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A place within the bedroom to store suitcases. We each had a medium size suitcase and had to leave them on the floor as no raised area to lay them for unpacking.

Great location, bed was very comfortable, tea and coffee facilities were really good and liked that you could choose what milk to have. The pool area was nice too. Parking on site was great to have.

The toilet space felt very small and confined as it faces the shower wall. Also the sliding door between the shower and toilet was very squeaky. Breakfast was nice but could be improved..the menu said French toast came with poached fruit but it came with a small amount of chopped fresh fruit. And the syrup was very sweet...pure maple syrup would have been nicer and not as sweet.

The location was great. A close walk to the waterfront with great restaurants nearby. A 10 min walk to lower Queen St and excellent shopping. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very well cooked and presented. The hotel was spacious and easy to get around. Our 2nd floor room was large with 2 balconies opening onto a quiet street. The in room tea & coffee facilities were better then most. The bed was comfortable and shower good to use. We would definitely return to this property.

The lift is slow but adequate. We did upgrade from a downstairs room that opened to a closed walled area.

Very welcoming and obliging staff members. Perfect location in the Viaduct area . Wonderful restaurants nearby. Their car park was appreciated in the city , the pool and gym with the enclosed Parc to contemplate or walk through were perfect. I'd imagine the Parc garden would be gorgeous in the Spring and Summer. The Ohtel Pantry breakfasts were delicious and the welcome drink and our evening flat white with Tia Maria completed perfect days. I was impressed that the staff contacted me almost immediately when I left something behind!

A very small thing. Maybe a wee sign under the light switch advising how to turn it off is required for older people.
