Location

Like all hotels in Kilarney the price is elevated for the summer which makes it a very costly weekend, a pity as 5 of our group pulled out of the trip as they could not afford the prices . The reception took full payment for my room 2 hours before I arrived , and then charged me again on arrival , they refunded me but could have done without the hassle and it’s bad business charging for the full cost of both nights before I actually arrived to check in .

Ideally located for me, staff very friendly & room very comfortable. Two shops & a pharmacy located right beside the hotel which was very convenient and also easily within walking distance of Killarney town centre, free parking also available.

The only downside side for me is that I wasn't allowed to purchase a mini breakfast, I was travelling with my son & he had to have the mini & I would have had to have paid for the full breakfast, which I didn't want as something smaller would have been sufficient for me but otherwise very satisfied with this hotel.

Breakfast was 10/10, best we've had. wait staff ladies at breakfast were excellent, nothing was too much for them. Mariye is a fab worker and should be noted for the bosses :) Room itself was good. We booked a double were given a double with single too, bed could have been bigger not sure if thats because there was a single in room too or if thats the stabdard, however fantastic comfort and sleeps were had! Bathroom was modern and exceptionally clean. Room itself was good. Quiet the whole time which was appreciated. Great location, quick walk to the town and we enjoyed the walk. All staff were wonderful. We'll be back. Thank you

The room was medium size (not large, not small), with shining white newly renovated bathroom/shower and comfortable beds. No air conditioning (as in most hotels in Ireland). The hotel restaurant is wonderful, dinner was delicious and the restaurant staff oustanding! The restaurant serves traditional beers and offers whiskey tasting (if you are interested) - great choice! The hotel staff was very quick and responsive to messages. The hotel is not in downtown, but next to the gas station and intersection.

Parking was overcrowded; the hotel lobby is very simple - perhaps need more space to sit.

The reception staff were customer-friendly and welcoming. The room itself was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Plenty of closet space and hangers. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of extra pillows if needed. The bathroom was newly refurbished with plenty of fresh, white towels and toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, hot and the variety would suit all tastes. Staff in the breakfast room were again efficient and very friendly. There was nothing I would change about this hotel. It's very convenient in its location as it's about a 10-minute walk from the centre of Killarney or the staff at reception will order a taxi for you. We had a fabulous stay and I would highly recommend this hotel. 10/10. 5 Star stay. Thank you.

The staff were amazing, very helpful especially Amanda Curran in reception as there was a lot of people parked in the car park because of the Cavan vs kerry match and also stage/hens etc , I didn’t know where to park she helped direct me where to park as I couldn’t find a space she was extremely friendly and professional and was amazing under the pressure along with the new staff member who was in training with everyone including ourselves trying to check in all at the same time . Stayed here 3 times now I never pass it when going to Killarney location is perfect right beside the town and just fair enough not to get the loud fuss from the town, food is incredible and washed down with some fairly decent pints(at good value) , the beer garden at the front is just perfect especially when the sun is hitting, the bar was crowded with people so a great environment the gaa was playing, bar staff where off there feet but fair play to them just like the Kerry Men when playing Cavan that weekend cool as cumbers no pressure to them …bedrooms spotless couldn’t fault them bed comfortable Al you have everything you need and TV you can watch Netflix on. There is a shop right next door and across the road so if you need to fuel up or get treats it’s right there .

We stayed there for 2 nights (FRI - SUN). This was our first time visit in this hotel. First contact at front desk very good. First impression of the room very good (no small room fridge which would be very handy). Room and bathroom very clean and well prepared. In our pack we had two dinners and 3 breakfast. In case of both food was delicious, fresh and very tasty. All staff were working hard, their customers service was very good, we couldn't see all the names on the staff badges (small letters) but we would like to say thank to John (Duty manager), Cian, Maja (floor staff). Location of the hotel very good, close to centre and all outdoor attractions.

I’ve stayed here before and love this hotel. The staff are fabulous, particular Debra in the bar who was very funny, friendly and a fantastic server. Location is also great, just on the outskirts of Killarney with easy links to major roads. Our beds were very comfortable too which was a bonus. Breakfast is also pretty epic!

Lack of air con was annoying as it was very humid although we did have a small fan. We had a wonderful walk in shower, due to my dad having dementia and struggling with balance, however the edging of the shower and the tiles in the beautiful newly renovated bathrooms was the same colour making it difficult to see the step. Another hand rail would have helped too but that is purely because of my dad. If I was with hubby/on my own, wouldn’t have been an issue.

The food was fabulous and the service. Niall is a fantastic manager very helpful with local knowledge. The room was beautiful and a nice smoking/vaping area. Very friendly and efficient staff in the Carvery.

I was outside vaping talking to another guest Thursday night 14th of November when I saw a member of staff watching us we were minding our own business she said the bar is closed now we didn’t even ask her for anything. I got the impression that she didn’t want us there. I got up Friday morning and I said how we were outside last night vaping/smoking oh I know I told my manager he was standing beside her. I never heard such rubbish to a guest in my life I couldn’t wait to leave that place it was very disappointing. The manager brought down my breakfast and he didn’t even address me. Disappointing at the end of my stay to say the least.

The staff were so kind, we met a man - who I think was the manager, didn’t catch his name - a few times in the reception when we checked in, in the bar when having dinner and when we had checked out and he acknowledged us each time. All staff in the bar were friendly and kind, the staff in reception were fantastic. Loved the location there was no traffic & also how easy it was to check in and out. LOVE how check out is at 12 - perfect timing to get up, pack up, eat and leave!

The room was slightly less modern than the bathroom, I think it could do with being modernised to meet the style of the bathroom. It was warm, cosy and comfortable nonetheless! Just 2 different aesthetics going on. Something small - no small bits in the bathroom (shower cap, comb etc). The plastic cups for water in the bathroom were unused and probably now discarded - small real glass would be better and create less waste.
