the location and mountain view

1.only one elevator was working and even this one broke just 20minutes before check out time, so we had to carry our luggage to the car from 5th floor via the stairs 2. on the 1st evening (31st Dec) we waited 30 minutes for the hot water to be fixed by the plumber 3. decent breakfast, but not many options 4. few parking spaces for a hotel that is almost fully booked during the winter holidays

Breakfast was ample. The hotel warm with a roaring open fireplace in reception. Absolutely anything we needed help with management met our needs from skiiing to transport the hotel staff coukd not have done more to help us! We had stayed at Kempinski previous nights and moved to Lion the days we were going up the mountain. We weren’t expecting to find such a brilliant hotel. The pool and spa area were picturesque! Snow falling outside. The room was huge and warm. Everywhere felt so warm and welcoming! Central location in Bansko so much to choose from for dining and apres drinks. The manager is wonderful he was so quick to respond to anything we asked of front desk. Fabulous management and staff.

There is nothing we did not like.

My fourth stay in this hotel. Always feel welcome. Staff is friendly , rooms big, warm and clean. Location is great , and shuttle bus to gondola and back reliable. You can see that SPA area is recently refurbished.

Even everyone tries to keep it mantained, hotel is far from its glory years and needs to be refreshed. Is it reception, lobby restaurant, restaurant or rooms. Internet in rooms very poor , in lobby correct , but below standards of 2024 for sure. Ski deposit is given to 3rd party and even free , working hours are not reliable. Dinner offer is quite uniform

Nice and very clean hotel with large and comfortable rooms. The breakfast is good enough. Really good location - close to the Gondola lift (and the shuttle service is and the main pedestrian street, but avoiding the most crowded parts of the city.

The hallways and doors are a bit noisy and your comfort really depends on the other guests.

The room was way too dark, only 2 lights. Maybe they need to add some pendant lamps or floor lamps because the room was way to dark no lightning enough, in the evening it was hard too see without using some flashlight from phones. Also there as no safe box in the rooms. Hotel doesnt take any responsibility if smth get lost so you shoyld pay for safe boxes down at the reception.

Large and warm room. Swimming pool, spa and sauna also very good. Breakfast good, and a big lobby with fireplace and many tvs to watch matches. I would like more parking slots. I will prefer this hotel again this season. Also i will recommend it.

The staff was friendly, the room was cleaned every day, the lobby is cauzy and comfortable

The sauna was not well heated, the fitness was so so, the personal in the restaurant are mostly from Ukraine and bearly speak Bulgarian or English, just Russian

Good location in town short walk to gondola and centre. Rooms comfortable, pool and spa good Good variety of breakfast options

Breakfast was ok, cooked breakfast was a little cold but overall a good selection and the location was fine

Guest returning to there room late at night and being loud/noisy on there way to there rooms and doors slamming….recommend guests to be reminded to respect other guest that may be asleep and keep noise to a minimum, maybe have signs to remind people that all corridors are a quiet area and have soft door closures on main doors

good walking distance to the gondola lion Hoyle I have stayed in a few hotels and apartments but I always prefer this, think it’s great value for money and breakfast is the best that you will find in my experience

nothing really however if you leave your shower too late in the morning it could be cooler than you would like but that’s just as everyone else has been up before me!
