The facilities here are amazing. The coveted pool and heated spa pools for adults, bar zazu was gorgeous and the restaurant looked gorgeous too! We were in the superior 2 queen room and with 2 adults and 2 kids it was a bit small and if you get the lake facing ask to go on the higher floors to see the lake. The beds were so comfy and showers lovely. The staff were so friendly and there’s a coffee machine in the foyer and the staff can make you a coffee (you pay for it) which was so handy for us.

The rooms were really hot and the aircon didn’t work so we slept with the door open but they did give us a fan

Being able to have a weekend away with my husband 💕 not worrying about adult kids or grandkids. We lost alot of time through working different shifts so I liked that we could relax, catch up on a few laughs, a couple of wines, hang out in the spa, once the maintainence guy got it sorted. Our second time here. Our favorite time out spot. Comfortable, great sleep! Very private. 100% for cleanliness and presentation

No water tap for drinking/to fill up bottles Had to buy our own drinking water No microwave to heat up snack food Spa needing maintenance as soon as we got there it wasnt warm enough so we were sitting in the cold with wet clothes until it got fixed.... wasn't a great first impression but it was absolutely beautiful once sorted. An information booklet showing what the restaurant & bar has to offer would have been cool to find in the room This was the deluxe room I was expecting to see maybe some of the already mentioned.

We were down in Rotorua sorting out some family estate business hadn't intended to stay here - had in fact booked elsewhere and spent one night in the other place (let's just say it wasn't what we needed or wanted - especially after a rought emotional reason for visiting) In contrast, The Millenium was comfortable, warm, and very welcoming. The staff - especially Evelyn in The Spa and Cole from the bar - were exceptional and I just regret I didn't get pics with them. A friend joined us for dinner on the second night - and the food was fantastic. The bar with the amazing hydrangea (or maybe wisteria) chandelier was lovely to sit in and work and if you do stay and can fit it in - please try The Spa.

Leaving. Honestly, this was the perfect stay. Nothing bad to say.

The view over the lake was lovely and the balcony was very nice. The location is very central to all the attractions that Rotarua has to offer. The hotel is currently going through a needed refurbishment programme. Very nice relaxing restaurant, bar areas and a nice pool. A good menu in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. Good selection for breakfast. Nice friendly staff.

Our first room was very outdated and the smell of sulphur in the room made my wife feel sick. This is due to the high volcanic activity in the area, which I understand, but I do feel more should have been done to keep the rooms smelling fresher i.e. changing the filters in the air con units, air fresheners etc. The sulphur smell was just in our room and not outside when we were on the balcony so was obviously a long term issue with an outdated room. We did book a second night in the hotel but requested another room which had been newly refurbished and the sulphur smell was not present at all. The hotel was able to accommodate although the second room had no balcony or lake view as no rooms with these had been refurbished at the time of our stay.

Amazing location with great amenities like spa. Great rooms with comfortable beds. Our room card was not working so the manager gave us a free room upgrade with a balcony. The spa was a great treat. The breakfast buffet was amazing and staff were very nice. Would definitely recommend coming off season when there aren’t much people.

FIX YOUR VENDING MACHINES. Please don’t keep vending machines in the hotel which don’t work or jam and say out of service after taking our money and not give us our product. We asked the manager the vending machine took our money without product and they simply responded it’s not our responsibility. Then please remove or update these old vending machines as it quiet an inconvenience especially when the hotel staff don’t do anything about them. Word of suggestion is to not use the old vending machines in the lobby. Also please light up your lower level hallways, they look quite drab and in need of plenty of light.

Hotel setting projected a spacious feel and was nicely furnished. The room was comfortable and had a good size bathroom, comfortable bed, a mini fridge. coffee and tea, kettle, ironing board, iron, and hairdryer. Sound proofing was good. The view of the lake was relaxing. There is a laundry room. We used the pool but not the gym. We also made use of the coffee and muffins stall near the front desk. This is convenient for guests who want to get an early start in sightseeing and do not want to spend time having a leisurely breakfast either in the hotel or having to locate a breakfast place outside the hotel. Moreover, the price of the coffee and muffins was decent. Staff were pleaseant and efficient.

Perhaps a USB outlet and one or two more power outlets would have been helpful. A few more toiletries too-I had forgotten conditioner and I don't think it was supplied, albeit shower caps were.

Clean, nice facilities, good location. They also have connecting rooms so I might book again if I get the chance to come with my family.

I wanted to extend my stay and went to the reception desk only to be told that I had to rebook on my own through booking.com again. Found out later by another staff and manager that they could have done it through their own system - would be easier and cheaper! They apologised (when it wasn’t their fault) and I appreciated that! Otherwise, their service was really good!

Great room. clean and tidy, recently updated with nice colours. Friendly staff very helpful and welcoming. Lower floor was very handy to the pool. The spa was great, very relaxing atmosphere as well. Good family holiday away, would recommend.

No robes in the room to wear to the pool, that would have been nice to have. More hot options at the breakfast buffet would be good, coffee making machine also good to have, only filter coffee or paying for barista coffee on offer. The checkout time should be 11am like many other hotels

The hotel was great and perfect for myself and my two young boys to stay. We stayed in a superior queen room and it has lovely comfortable beds and really friendly and helpful staff at the hotel and it was in a great location. I paid for a room that included breakfast which was so handy when travelling with small children and there was also an indoor pool which the children loved.

The only thing was having to pay extra for a coffee. It wasn’t much money but I think that it should come with the breakfast package especially when I had organised for my package to include breakfast.
