Lovely old building in a good location. Nicely decorated room. Good price. Quiet in the room despite the huge number off people in the pub below on a summer Friday night. Staff all really good - very helpful and friendly.

Room was very hot. Breakfast wasn't laid out when we arrived an hour after the scheduled start time - as if the staff were waiting to see if anyone turned up before making the effort. Choice a bit limited. Stale pastries. Lone member of staff apologetic and only charged for one breakfast. Not really a problem in the end, but just could have been a better experience.

The room provided a comfortable bed and the quiet needed for a good night's sleep. The fan provided was necessary as otherwise the room would have been too hot and airless

Winter duvet too warm, had to remove. Fire doors made access to the room a mission. Fire door opening onto landing made access to descend the stairs a perilous experience for someone, such as my wife, with a balance problem. Breakfast times are not conducive for catching up on lost hours of sleep. We opted for the latter and went without the former.

Welcoming staff excellent hotel

The room was very clean ,bright and modern. The en- suite was very well thought out with a large walk in shower. the breakfast was good. As this was a public house there was noise but all was quiet after 11pm.

The organisation and service at breakfast was poor.Only one member of staff was on duty to take breakfast orders and serve.The pub was not busy but service was slow. The continental selection was limited. No plates for the pastries . It would be better if fruit was pre-prepared. Toast was limited only with the fried breakfast. No extra toast for marmalade/jam. All items for the continental breakfast was on a top of a very small side cupboard so everything was not easily accessible. The was await for tea/coffee.

My daughter and I stayed here for the first time on Saturday. We received a lovely warm welcome despite it being so busy, a bank holiday weekend and the FA cup final! Our room (no. 1) is a twin room, it was lovely and spacious, beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with a great walk in shower. We had a couple of drinks in the bar in the afternoon and on seeing the delicious food coming out decided to eat there in the evening. I’m so pleased we did, there was a good choice on the menu and the food was hot and tasty. Breakfast the following morning was really good, freshly made on order and plenty of choice. I understand that a big investment has been made to refurbish the pub and hotel and you can see it’s been done to a high standard. It’s welcoming, cozy and has a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and genuinely want to ensure your stay is perfect. Ours definitely was and we will be coming back again. Thank you to everyone.

A pub with good value, comfortable accommodation. Newly renovated rooms with USB C and A charging points. Really comfortable beds. Private parking lot for many cars. The staff were great, attentive and polite, clearly well-trained. Simon, the manager, was very visible and approachable. The bar food was very good.

The rooms are above a very popular bar and garden area. I loved it, but if you are looking for a quiet country pub then this is probably not the one. It’s a great place for a stop-over when travelling by car. The pub is in a small town near the rail station.

Very good value rooms - clean and comfortable. The pub had a great menu which was very reasonably priced. Decent range of beers. Very friendly staff. Free car park at rear. Very close to Narborough Station - a 10 minute train into Leicester.

Nothing I did not like - worth noting there was some noise from the bar downstairs, to be expected- quiet after c.10.45pm

The room was huge, clean, and very comfortable. Bathroom was a good size too, and the shower was solid. We stayed in room 1 which was the furthest from the bar and had no noise from that direction; a little from the beer garden, but only until midnight at the latest.

Very little/no real hanging space or drawers, so you couldn't really unpack, despite having loads of room. Otherwise, absolutely lovely.

Location great. Breakfast average but excellent value. Staff extremely kind and helpful. A bouncer on evening shift a great idea. We’ve been there before and with the refurbished accommodation and the good staff attitude the manager is clearly working at bringing in more custom

Noise from the bar can be easily heard in the rooms above, particularly at around or after closing time when heads are on the pillow

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean, and the bed was large and comfortable.

The noise outside till midnight wasn't great, but it was a Saturday night. For the continental breakfast it would have been great to have a mixed fruit salad. The cooked breakfast was excellent, though.
