Real good location as a base to city tour (5 min. walk to center of Lugano) and as a base to around land's attractions. Very professional, kind and helpful service.

Parking should be included in the price (it's not as expensive as commercial parking lots, but still significant). Breakfast is adequate and overall everything was fine, but if the hotel had also invested in heaters to keep hot dishes warm, the review would have been perfect. The condition of the rooms reflects the age of the building, but this didn't bother me; in fact, it gives them a unique atmosphere.

Finally, a real queen sized bed as compared to two singles jammed together like we experienced in almost every other hotel we stayed at during our travels in Switzerland. The hotel is perfectly situated in the center of the city and our room had a small balcony with unblocked views over the lake. We arrived during a hot period but was pleasantly surprised and relieved to see a split aircon unit installed, and given 35C+ temperatures outside it was really a saving grace for us for refuge during our stay. The solo check in staff were very helpful and friendly.

The view was amazing! It was so cool to be able to see the lake and the mountains from my room. The room seemed pretty clean as well-no real concerns. It was also pretty quiet in my room, which was great!

I did not love the shade situation. They were clunky and difficult to deal with. Blackout curtains probably would have been easier to manage. Also, the coffee at breakfast was terrible. Not sure what happened but it was really bad.

Very central. Attentive staff. It is a very old hotel, the advantage being the rooms are very large. It’s very clean, good towels and sheets. You will see quirky furniture (like a chair in the hall way that has a sign “do not sit” etc). But it’s comfortable honestly and the location couldn’t be better. You can take the funicular down from the station and walk 7 minutes or take a bus to the hotel and walk across the road (3-4) minutes from the train station (it’s very hilly so I wouldn’t walk with luggage). Staff is very good, friendly and do their utmost to assist. AC was very good (absolutely needed in summer)

Needs a refurbishment. Breakfast isn’t expensive but it’s not great either. Amenities are awful (some old fashioned style soap and gel).

The location is perfect! Just at the edge of the city center where there are all the restaurants and public transportation. We also enjoyed our balcony (even though it wasn't the big one shown in the photos but a small one w 2 chairs and a little table..we had 3 people, so the 3rd person was sitting halfway in the room). Breakfast was also good.

People from other rooms smoking on their balconies..which would come our way. The 'shower' is really a bathtub with the sprayer that you hook up but the hook for it is only waist high.

The location is great, close to restaurants and shops with a great view. The staff is very friendly and gave good recommendations. Walkable distance from attractions like the park, lido and funicular to Mt Bre. The breakfast is basic with eggs, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal and bread. But it is typical. The coffee was very good. We enjoyed our stay at this cozy hotel.

The facility is showing its age a bit, but it was clean and served as a great base.

The location is perfect. In the centre, also , you can see logano lake on across the pedestrian street, very near a coop store. Adjacent to it is a cafe, where you can enjoy pasteries and coffee.The rooms had an ac unit inside. The staff were helpful and nice. The rooms decor are old but good for money value. The rooms were not very small like a closet, thank God. The size for this money value was appropriate

As I said the rooms are old needs an upgrade. Hmm oh yes the towels looks as of been used a lot. I would not use them

SLNH aka Hotel Nassa is well situated in city centre with a Lakeside frontage. From outside the train station Lugano Stazione, there's bus taking U to bus stop outside Hotel Nassa or like Us, took the Funicular(free) down n walked thru the City Centre/ Old Town via Via Nassa to the hotel. Hotel's location is most convenient to get to all attractions either by walks or buses, which are also free. Hotel's very clean n front office services were excellent n not forgetting the buffet breakfast n the lovely serving Lady.

Location, staff, & view of the lake are great! Air conditioning in room is awesome! But don’t run a hair dryer & A/C at the same time, or power shuts off. But, staff got it right back on. Good water pressure in shower. Good size rooms, especially the 3 person room our adult children stayed in.

No A/C in hallways and breakfast area, so hot there. Breakfast was very average.

Although we could not book a room with a balcony, our room was an excellent alternative with a beautiful view of Lake Lugano. Service was always attentive to our wishes and Ivano attended immediately to our broken refrigerator and an extra electric outlet need. Moreover, he especially noticed it was my birthday and gave us a nice Apero surprise for us to enjoy! What a great gentleman and valuable employee to have available.
