This was a very comfortable place to stay with lots of extra touches such as fresh flowers, chocolates, biscuits and chilled bottles of water. The fridge in the room was very welcome. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious and really set me up for the day. It was ideally located for visiting York, with the park and ride only approx 10 miles away. No issues with parking and location was very peaceful.

Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order, Mal even cooked a sausage for my dog. The room was amazing with all bits you might need in there, fridge, hair dryer, slippers dressing gown, tea, coffee, milk, biscuits, chocolates and toiletries. Quite central for York, the coast, Harrogate and Knaresborough. You won’t be disappointed.

Nothing wrong with Hillcroft, but just to note that the nearby pub doesn’t open on Monday and Tuesday, but the nearby village of Pocklington has great facilities.

Mal was friendly and welcoming. Everything you hope to find when you stay somewhere was thought of and supplied, plus extra touches too. Fresh milk and bottled water in the mini fridge were very welcome. We were prepared to forego breakfast as we needed an early departure but Mal was happy to provide it early for us which really helped. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with an excellent shower. Thanks it was a great stay and we'll be back.

Mal was very welcoming. We’d booked the largest room which was at the side of the house so it was lovely and quiet. Breakfast was great and freshly cooked. There is a guest lounge and nice garden you could use too

Bathroom was small and a bit dated but everything worked.

This B & B is in a village location about 15 miles from York, with good parking facilities. Upon arrival there was a warm welcome from Mal, the owner. The facilities are all well presented, it is clean and with a relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was very good. It would be ideal for a 'stop over' if visiting York in the future.

Its location was just off a country road, but wasn't hard to find , got a warm welcome from mal and the facilities were clean and well kept, the room was a fair size with a full free view channels, the bed was clean and there was extra pillows and a small wardrobe to hang your clothes... the breakfast was nice and we got given a of time slot for breakfast, got a good verity of choice for it. The room was warm and well decorated... would definitely stay over again and recommend hillcrorft B@B to everyone

There was a slight trickling nose in bathroom, caused by toilet running constantly, wasn't loud but it noticeable ...

Very Clean , tea , coffee, a pint of milk in the fridge with 3 bottles of water, chocolates and biscuits, comfortable bed, towels and shower gel etc, off street parking, excellent breakfast, very friendly owner.

Mel was very hospitable and helpful. The room provided everything you might need. The Cooked breakfast was fabulous.

A bit difficult finding the B&B in the dark, but after a quick phone call Mel came out with a torch and found us!

Mal made us very welcome when we arrive. The facilities were excellent and every where spotless. Mal is an excellent host and cook. His Breakfast was first class with local produce and presented with pride. Highly recommend and will return
