It is located about a 15-minute walk from the center of Chamonix, or about 5 minutes by bus or train, with stops conveniently situated next to the accommodation. Next to the accommodation, there is a beautiful frozen lake, and overall, the view is stunning. There is a space to store luggage, and the breakfast is excellent and varied.

All staff members should have clear and accurate information regarding the Guest Card. On the day of our arrival, we were informed by a staff member that the Guest Card was no longer valid and that the website was outdated. However, later that same day, we visited the tourist office and were assured that the website was accurate and that we were entitled to the Guest Card. The following day, after mentioning the tourist office's information, we were finally issued the Guest Card.

No fuss and the restaurant is what makes this hotel. Bar and restaurant staff is great and very nice. Great food and drinks at very good prices. 5 Stars to bar and restaurant and its staff.

I have not experience more grumpy hotel staff in any other hotel. They are mostly absent and when there no eye contact with guests, no acknowledgement, huffing when asking for help and there are poor routines for what needs doing after hours if anything goes wrong. Staff just needs reminding that they are working in hospitality and it’s the customer that is on holiday and pays their wages.

Straightforward and comfortable stay. Great facilities. Good value for money in Chamonix. Fully automated/self-service check-in, check-out, breakfast, storage - allowing for great flexibility when arriving/departing early/late or starting/coming back from hiking/mountaineering adventures at non-standard times. Restaurant on site. Good vibes with one music event during my stay. The place attracts lots of friendly fellow travelers of all ages. This was my third visit to Chamonix and third time staying at Vert Lodge.

It would be great to have an ability to buy Coca Cola Zero on site 24/7 (a vending machine, etc.)

Stayed 5 nights for a solo snowboarding trip. The pod has a relatively decent bed and it gives a little more privacy. The pod needs a little vacuuming to clean out the dust although not a deal breaker. Would prefer a curtain for more privacy. Earplugs were provided which is a nice touch and helps to sleep at night. Toilet is clean. Breakfast is provided which is a massive plus point. It is not common to find an affordable and decent lodge in a popular ski spot in the French alps. Vert lodge is very welcoming and the staffs are mostly from UK so they can speak English. The restaurant within the lodge also offers delicious burgers and onion rings. I highly recommend the fish and chips!! Bus stop with Line 1 right outside the lodge. The bus gets you to the Chamonix centre which bus connections to all the slopes. However, it gets really crowded so I would recommend skiers and snowboarders to catch the bus between 7:30-8:30. Vert lodge is also 5-7 mins walk from Les Pelerins train station. Very easy to get to. If you are looking to go on a budget trip, Vert lodge is perfect for solo travellers.

Ski equipment room needs a revamp. The sleeping pod is a little dusty and has no curtains.

Stayed here out of season, which was a great deal - 52 EUR per night for a decent sized room with a somewhat limited view of Mount Blanc. Clean room with a balcony, just what we needed. The breakfast that's included should be marketed as a small and simple bread and toppings-breakfast. There is only bread, j, Nutella, butter and salami, as well as some yoghurt, cereal, milk, juice and pre-packaged baguettes. Not what you'd expect from a hotel breakfast, but it gets the job done - at least if they don't run out of baguettes which happened one day during our stay. The lodge has a bar and restaurant in-house, with great vibes and decent food, and a free pool table, and the bartender doubles as a receptionist. Info sheets in the room are quite outdated, showing 24/7 breakfast and 10 EUR bike rental available, which is not correct. It's a short walk to the city center, where they cooperate with a bike rental shop, Bile Chamonix, giving discounts on e-bike-rentals. All in all a good value stay out of season!

Very kind and helpful staff. Good value for the price. The room is cosy and our room came with amazing views of the Mont Blanc. There were smart TVs in the room, so you can connect to your own netflix or youtube. Our room was cold so we asked the staff for a solution, and they brought us a portable heater. Very good service. The breakfast was great, and we left the hotel to explore the mountains all energized from the breakfast. Thumbs up! There is free parking in front of the hotel and theres only a 15 minute walk to the main street of Chamonix. We will only have good memories from this hotel.

Easy check-in with remote guidance. Comfortable room for two with just enough space for important stuff. That was top floor what made noise of the rain to sound special. Restaurant at the ground floor was also very handy. Self-assisted light breakfast included.

Location is pretty distanced and takes around 20 mins walk to the center. Restaurant eliminated the inconvenience for my one night stop. Room’s door was half broken and you could see corridor by easily pulling them being closed. Noise cancellation was also an issue - I could hear anyone outside clear and loud. Unfortunately, people were not instructed to stay silent.

I had a private room with private bathroom. It was small but clean and good enough for good sleeping before starting TMB. Breakfast was basic, but good enough: coffee, bread, jams, butter, yogurts and cereals.

The price. I consider the rate was bit too high for a basic private room. I booked it 3 months in advance and I paid €144 for 1 person.

Had a good bathroom / shower. Room was clean. Good lockers for bags with lots of space. It wasn't bunk beds but small pods. Great bar / pub with great food downstairs. Easy access into town via free bus just outside.

Breakfast good but kitchen often messy, needed a table or something for people to make breakfast on away from small surface area of side, looked like it was in process of building work, so may put a table in kitchen soon. Room a bit different to the photos online.

Ross was very helpful-got to extend our stay in same room without moving. Generous with their breakfasts. Also Could have coffee or tea at anytime from an automated expresso machine. Dinners available at the bar/restaurant. Stored our luggage for free while we did the 11 day circumnavigation of Mont Blanc.

20 mi walk from center of town but on bus line & had express train stop. Had a Lift pass so with that card got on buses for free.
