Lovely Room Fully equipped Great views Exceptionally comfortable bed Great breakfast selection Fabulous door staff particularly Robert And the young man making the omelettes at breakfast stood out for his friendliness amongst other very grumpy / none interactive waitresses
The hotel was let down by miserable / none smiley waitresses at breakfast Very slow to clear used crockery and I had to ask every morning for the used plates to be removed to make space for the next course which then seemed to be a chore! the young waiters were more amenable/ friendly JUST ASK THEM TO SMILE AT THEIR CUSTOMERS OCCASIONALLY Tea and coffee not very hot ( it sat on the side waiting for a waitress to serve for-too long) That said The young chef making the omelettes was a breath of fresh air with great pride in his work Room 2312 needs a battery replacing in the bathroom TV remote thanks

Accessibility and convenience to entertainment venues including bars restaurants shopping and nightclubs within the Crown complexes. Also within walking distance to Melbourne MCG and train tram CBD. Excellent view from our room. Luxurious beds and clean bedding. Excellent customer service from doorman reception and housekeeping.
Room furniture that is the chair and bedside tables requires some work that is chipped and scratched paintwork. Some stained upholstery at the bay window. TV in the bathroom didn’t work. Wifi intermittent. Complimentary water bottles only small size. For a 5 star hotel room requires a refresh of decor. A cheap hairdryer and cheap kettle.

I loved the city view and the lux rooms.
I didn’t like the price of the rooms, and I got our room half price off an 3rd party and then have to pay extra for valet parking. Spending a night at crown was a luxury for us. It’s not something we can afford to do regularly. It almost felt like the assumption is we must have money if we are staying at crown so we can afford to pay for all the extras. I understand it was optional, but the fact is that I have my 11 year old with me, and it was safest to pay for valet parking instead of walking with all our luggage even though I couldn’t really afford it. I feel the price should be dropped to a more reasonable fee.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. One of the standout features was undoubtedly the view—easily one of the best you’ll find in Melbourne’s CBD. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—one of the best we’ve had in Australia. A wide variety of fresh, delicious options made for a great start to each day. Being part of the Crown complex, the hotel offers everything you could ask for in terms of convenience and entertainment. From high-end shopping and a fully equipped gym to a large indoor pool with a sauna and spa, you’ll find everything under one roof. There are also plenty of dining options and cafes either within the complex or just a 5–10 minute walk along the river. Plus, the location is ideal—within walking distance of Melbourne’s city centre and Flinders Street Station, just across the river.
Some of the in-room furniture felt dated and wasn’t as clean as we would’ve expected from a hotel of this caliber. Also, while the breakfast was excellent, it’s worth noting that the price increases if you don’t pre-book it. Upon arrival at breakfast, staff inform you that seating is limited to one hour, and only one hot drink (coffee or tea) is included. Any additional hot drinks are charged extra, and unfortunately, there’s no self-serve coffee or tea station available. Even a 3-star hotel typically offers unlimited self-serve options, so this felt a bit limiting.

Loved that when I called up a couple of days before our stay, to try and organise a champagne as it was our wedding anniversary and we had our kids with us. I wanted to do something special for my husband but couldn't afford the price of a bottle of Verve at $210. Our little family went out for a walk and to our surprise we had a bottle of champagne in our room waiting for us!!! It really made us feel so special and valued even if it was small. My husband and I absolutely loved it. We are looking at dates for 2026 to come and stay with our family again. This will be our annual trip.

Perfect for families. Everything we needed in one location. Great range of eating options and activities. Pool area exceptional. Will not stay anywhere else when travelling with my kids from now on.
Had some problems at check-in as I didn't have a current photo ID. I was prepared to pay a bond, but the receptionist was unwilling to allow us to check-in. It did take some persistence on my part to be allowed to check-in. Was a stressful start to an otherwise faultless stay. Final morning, housekeeping rang the door repeatedly (at least 6 times) at 10.30 wanting to clean our room. Check-out at 11. Was intrusive and too much. Minor, but not acceptable for a property of this standard.

The view was good.
We went to check in at 3:05pm and had to wait for 1 hour to check in. The front staff told us that our room was not ready and gave us 2 complimentary drinks at the lounge . We were 4 people so we had to spend money to wait there for an hour. The staff at concierge was not very nice. She kept saying to give them 5 more minutes. At 4pm we were very upset so she finally gave us our card key and told us we could go in but the adapter wasn’t ready yet so other staff will visit the room later. She didn’t look sorry at all. She was calling the guest service and laughing in front of us.

Amazing hotel, amazing rooms with the most amazing beds, loved the robes, pool and food.
On our first night stay the security telling me I couldn’t wait in the foyer with my family whilst waiting for a friend to go to our dinner reservation. I understand they were telling people they couldn’t wait in the foyer to hassle the F1 drivers, but I’m a 47 year old mother who was waiting for friends not going up to any drivers or showing any interest even in that. I was a paying guest and you have a lovely foyer that has chairs to sit in, so I wasn’t impressed to be told I had a few minutes.

My favourite and, probably, the best in the town. I came for Christmas. There was a show and beautiful Christmas tree. I liked that this time line for check in was not that big. Comfortable room, there is everything you need in it. I was pleased with request on high floor and specified view.
Breakfast is still the biggest issue. For this hotel level it's expected more choice. Not enogh fresh vegetables. No fresh squeezed juices. I see for the first time 5 stars hotel providing sugared box juices, sorry, it's a shame. Coffee is only one time per Breakfast. But 1st day I got it cold, 2d day - my coffee was given to other table. So I requested one more. And on 3d day waiter warned me rudely that no more second coffee for me for free, it was so rude, and insted of "Hello", that I got a bit numb. For the Christmas day breakfast costed double price. I've expected something celebrative and special then. But it was all the same, just some Christmas plastic decorations around and some sweets. For the double price it was completely not worth it.

The facilities were fabulous. Afternoon tea and pre dinner drinks were also very good. The Crystal club room was very relaxing. And the staff were great! It was also a great base for other activities . We went hot air ballooning and were picked up from there. The pool was absolutely amazing! Make sure to take your bathers and chill out on a day bed, reading for a few hours!
It took 1.5 hours to get our bags brought to the room. We had to call and ask for them. It did hold up our plans. For the cost, I think car parking should’ve been greatly reduced, or included.
