The staff were really helpful, we especially appreciated the staff-picked food recommendations, every one we tried was delicious! The location was perfect for tourism, we got everywhere we wanted on foot. The water was amazingly hot and with great pressure. We really recommend this hotel for a stay.

The walls between rooms are really thin and our neighbors were coming back from parties at 4am, which woke us up every day.

I loved staying here, it is a fabulous hotel. My room was perfect for me, the bed was comfy, the storage was plentiful and the bathroom roomy. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful indeed. The hotel was excellently placed for Liverpool One, and Bold Street was literally round the corner. I did wonder if street noise at night would be a problem but I heard absolutely nothing whatsoever. I'll definitely be staying here again.

I seriously cannot think of anything I disliked about staying here.

Room was very clean. The hotel and the room was very quiet and we were not disturbed by noise at all. The bed was very comfortable. Coffee and tea-making facilities were excellent. There was also a fridge, although we didn't make use of it. The room had air conditioning which was easy to control and switch off at night. The hotel were very responsive to a small concern we had, which turned out to be not a concern at all. The wifi was free and easy to connect to. Off-site car parking was easy to book online and was just a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

No complementary bottled water or biscuits. I know hotels are cutting back on these sort of things, but for me it makes the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel.

Excellent hotel in the perfect location in Liverpool just off the main high street. Staff were very helpful and generally kind, welcoming and friendly - especially Cole. You even got a sweet handwritten welcome card in your room upon arrival! Got to check-in early which was great. The small double room was the perfect cozy size. bed was v soft and comfortable. Loved the kitchenette and desk to work in the room. The lounge area was great. I’d definitely come back.

The only negative was the water in the shower in the room was burning / scalding hot, no matter which way you turned it. There was a warning sign in the shower to tell you this, but it was very difficult to shower for a long time in burning hot temperatures.

Lovely modern decor. Quiet, comfortable room with 'mini kitchen' in cupboard. Large shower and Molton Brown toiletries in bathroom. Very friendly staff on Reception at all times. Personally written 'welcome' card was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the drinks and nibbles at 6pm each evening which created a convivial atmosphere as we got chatting with other guests, which was lovely. Excellent location. Great breakfast at Wreck, just across the road. They use quality ingredients and offer discount for Resident guests, which we didn't realise the first day. Thank you to all The Resident staff for a great stay.

Nothing.

Lovely historic building in a very convenient city centre location. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. Helpful and friendly reception staff (and lots of them). Nespresso machine in a hotel room is always a nice treat and I liked that the hairdryer was a proper one (ie you didn't need to hold a button down the whole time you used it). Also liked that our room overlooked the Georgian houses opposite on Seel Street

The little kitchette was a bit basic looking for such a nice hotel and would have benefitted from a door to hide the sink pipework and bin. However, easy enough to pull the main door across when not in use so not a big problem 😀

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the heart of Liverpool. The location is excellent—just steps away from major attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming and comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help with any requests. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, this hotel offers great value and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in Liverpool city center.

The room was a bit compact, especially for families or longer stays, but still very comfortable for a short visit.

Loved the building, the history, beautiful job modernising an old disused building. Great location for seeing the best of the city and so close to Bold Street with all its fabulous restaurants and cafes. Loved the 6pm nightly residents drink & snack. Nice touch! And pre ordering groceries for the fridge was handy too. Staff were all lovely. We had a great stay. Thank you. We would definitely consider coming back if we visit Liverpool again.

It would be really useful if you could supply a tea towel for the mini kitchen! We ended up drying up with tissues which was very wasteful.

Super central location close to all shops and bars. Clean and welcoming reception and the reception staff were super friendly and helpful. My friend forgot her charger and called down to reception who were so lovely and brought a charger up to the room - they really went above and beyond. I was offered 20% discount to park with qpark at hanover street which is really close to the hotel. The room was clean and welcoming, with THE comfiest bed I think I’ve ever slept in at a hotel. Impressed with the toiletries provided too (you never get conditioner!) and even a small kitchenette. To top it all off the price was so reasonable for such a great hotel. The air con was also great in the room and really helped as it was so warm, plus there was barely any noise even though you’re right behind celebration square!

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like!
