We were amazed by this hotel. The surrounding is stunning and the hotel itself a true design pearl: it's not the most modern building and some of the facilities are worn off (like bathroom) but it's an absolute gem to the ones who appreciate architecture and design. Loved the whole concept of the hotel and was a bit sad we only came for one night. Also the breakfast is truly wonderful and the bed was really comfy. Unbeatable view from the window.

If anything at all the sauna timing could have been a bit longer or would have appreciated the possibility to go with all family together (men and women had separate hours).

We loved Hotel Rantapuisto as welcoming, authentic, wholesome. We had a seaside view, twin-bed room which felt comfortable and spacious. The deep windows bring woods and water close; one night we had a panoramic storm scene. The breakfast buffet is extensive with porridge, yoghurt, berries, cereal, boiled eggs, warm Karelia pies, cold cuts and roll-top chafing dishes of meaty and hot fare. Also a waffle-maker and enormous jars of Nutella. That's if you don’t go for the simplicity of health bread and help yourself from a frame of dripping raw honeycomb (hives in the grounds) We had just been at Hotel Helka in Helsinki (former YWCA) and at Rantapuisto, the hotel seemed to be run by women. For my niece and I, this was great, very inspiring actually and a lovely, homely atmosphere. We were checked in by cheery Kaisu and checked out by efficient Essi. The lovely 'breakfast lady’ gave all tables notice of the buffet being laid up and she helped me tray breakfast in bed for an exhausted teenager. The sauna is in keeping with the 1960s architecture and near to the Sea View rooms. You can go outside and follow the track to the beach, walk along and dip off the jetty. It’s not as close as you might like but once we’d figured it out, we just got on and enjoyed. The next best bit: borrowing the (iconic 60s style) Jopo bikes, cycling to the paddling centre and hiring kayaks. You have to do it! The place is just along the track on the way to Vuosaari. They do fat bikes also https://naturaviva.fi/en_US/destinations/vuosaari-paddling-center Hotel Rantapuisto’s own website is very comprehensive. I recommend it for all the detail it contains including the dinner menu and prices.

The residents’ sauna area is okay but entrance room is plain, bleak almost. The changing room is functional. The heat of the sauna was good; my comments are of the aesthetics. Ironically it is a bit ‘cold’ compared to the overall welcoming glow we experienced.

In very good place - just 10 minutes drive by car or about 25 minutes from ferry. In greenery, surrounded by forest, on the see shore, with free parking and friendly for dogs. Nicely decorated main hotel building, very calm and relaxing atmosphere, great breakfast with good choice of various meals including g local specialities. We enjoyed our stay and met families who yearly spending their summer holidays in this place.

Staff is helpful, but one of the receptionists wasn't good enough in English so on arrival communication was a bit challenging.

We loved the 1960s style hotel and its surroundings - so peaceful and close by the sea. We swam from the house beach every day and used the free bikes a couple of times for trips to the area. There is a bus and metro connection and plenty of woods and coast to enjoy nearby so no car needed. Breakfast and meals at the restaurant were excellent too. Would stay again!

It would have been nice to be warned explicitly in advance that the restaurant is closed on Sundays.

What a view, we had a seaside room which I would highly recommend. Hotel is big and has fantastic nostalgic vibes, it is very quiet and a perfect place to recover. Breakfast is amazing and so tasty with regional, fresh products (the dark bread was a dream). It's quite a distance to Helsinki City and next bus station (and supermarket) is a 15 minutes walk. There is a shuttle bus to the metro in front of the Hotel but it only runs hourly and during the week. There is a ramp and a ladder to go for a comfortable swim in the lake. We really appreciated the privacy and solitude, enough space for everybody and no cues at breakfast.

Can't think of anything.

The breakfast was very good. Room is OK, but the facility makes you feel you are back in 2000th. The location is quite, the nature outside is nice. Most likely during summer season the place is a good choice to disconnect yourself from your everyday life and relax. We used the hotel to stay overnight during our journey from Tallinn to Levi ski resort and it perfectly fulfilled our needs: only 25 min driving from the harbor, no problems with parking, we slept well and got a good breakfast in the morning for a very reasonable price.

This is a gorgeous hotel with amazingly preserved architecture, beautiful gardens and private beach. There are forest walks all around. The breakfast buffet was lovely and lots of choice.

Sauna access is too limited. There should be a wider range of times and include mornings. Bring your own food sun-wed evenings or be prepared to eat out as the restaurant is closed. There was a microwave to use. You can buy drinks and basic snacks at reception.

Hotel had really interesting style of 60s-70s but I personally really liked it. Some places and areas would require a bit of renovating to make it even nicer but the general architecture and atmosphere was really cool. The room was small but newly renovated and in good condition. The beds were comfortable but a bit small. Same story with bathroom. All was clean and pleasant but simply a bit too small for longer stay - for weekend for us good enough. There was kettle and tea/coffee in the room same as hair dryer and all the necessary cosmetics. There was also ironing board and kitchen available in the building when necessary. The WI-FI worked very well in the room. There was free parking. The breakfast was tasty with many different products to choose from. The hotel is amazingly located in the forest next to the beach. We had also lovely sea view, it was calm and quiet. Check-in went smoothly, the personal was friendly and helpful. There is gym and sauna available free of charge in the designated hours.

The hotel is located pretty far from the city center and it is necessary to take first bus and then subway to get to the main attractions. The whole district of the city where hotel is located is also not the most pleasant and it does not feel very safe. The hotel is pretty big so some of the rooms are located far from reception and restaurant in different buildings. The place is definitely not new nor modern but with small renovations (for example painting wooden structures, cleaning some areas a bit more) and improvements might feel very cool in an antique sort of way.

The room & the facilities were fantastic. The location is ideal for peace & away from hustle bustle of the main city. The breakfast was great along with the timings for the same. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. The walk around the resort is also great. Our 2 yr old loved the walk around a small beach right at the property. The kids play area was very helpful also to keep her busy on the cold days.

The food menu could have some additional items especially keeping kids in mind.

The location and the pleasant staff

1.The vegan breakfast sausages, change those to either baked beans or cubed roasted potatoes. It would be more nutritional for everyone and possibly cheaper. 2. Add 1 more hour for the sauna operating times for both men and women (2 hours extra in total) as its around dinner which is annoying but understandable as it is solar powered.
