We loved Bilder Boutique Hotel, where we stayed 7 nights on our trip to Bilbao. The Hotel is located on a great site, close to train and bus station and the old town and the bridges, all in a walkable distance. The room was excellent, recently renovated, the stuff was very friendly and we could communicate in English with all of them. We will visit Bilbao again and choose to stay in Bilder Boutique Hotel!

Note: I was there during the full week of festivals in Bilbao. Room was great and very spacious. Looked right out onto the street. Even though I was there during festival week, the window blocked out most of the noise, which was substantive and lasted alllllll night. But ear plugs (provided by the hotel) blocked out the rest. The location itself was great and very central to everything. I was working remotely, and there is a salon with tables where I could work with good WiFi and no trouble. Very comfortable bed. Coffee / tea included. Great bathroom with great water pressure. Staff was very accommodating.

The WiFi was spotty inside the room itself. I was told about the festival late and couldn’t book another spot in time. But it all worked out.

The location of Bilder Boutique hotel is excellent, in the old town but the new town is very accessible, everywhere can be reached on foot. All the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. The breakfasts were better than expected, with a large selection of cooked options. We also had a meal in La Palma the hotel restaurant which was delicious. The bar and restaurant are open to the public but there is a large comfortable lounge for use just by the guests. The hotel does not provide all the "bits and pieces" extras but concentrates on the important aspects such cleanliness which was first rate, good sound proofing and lovely bed linen and towels, for this reason it was very good value.

There wasn´t anything that we did not like.

Breakfast was delicious. You have your options from a menu. The location of the hotel is right in the downtown/ old town area so there is a lot to explore just by walking.

The parking turned out to be quite expensive about 22 euro per day. The closest parking lot is a few blocks away underground. You can park temporarily in an area in front of the street that the hotel is on to drop off your luggage but it's a busy area during the day. There is a sign near the garbage bins. We ended up walking with our luggage to the car upon departure because we weren't sure if there would be temporary parking available.

The location was terrific - just steps from the tram, which we used after getting off the bus from San Sebastián, to walk to the hotel. Also, the same tram took us the following morning to the Guggenheim. Staying in the old town was charming and made it easy to see the entire old town, which was so walkable, with access to lots of restaurants, tapas bars, and shops. The room was small, but configured so well - it could have had more furniture than it did. The shower was great, as was the bed and pillows and it was very clean. There was a restaurant next door that had some kind of arrangement with the hotel for breakfast, but we didn’t use it. The room did have a kettle for making tea or instant coffee. There was also a sort of lounge - a room with tables and sofas, with large windows where you could go to relax outside of your room. And we liked that it was a small rather than large hotel.

The lighting was awful…..lots of little spotlights that didn’t light up the room even when all of them were on. It didn’t help that the one window allowed in only interior light from another part of the building rather than light from the outside. There was no mini fridge, which would have been okay if they had ice somewhere. We had to go next door to the restaurant and ask for a few ice cubes, which they did give us. We later bought a small bag of ice and used the trash can with a plastic bag to keep a few things cold, so we got by.

It’s super close to the train station which I really appreciate it. Also it’s nearby lots of shops and restaurants. It’s around a half an hour walk from the Guggenheim part of town. Our bedroom was available early, as we checked-in in the morning. That was really nice! The receptionist was very helpful with holding our luggage for the day, and recommending the best transportation we could take to our next destination. He also spoke English, which was very helpful.

The hotel receptionist sometimes won’t be at the desk, and you don’t know how to get ahold of them. Sometimes there would be people standing in line waiting for him to come, as they were checking in. When we first entered our hotel room, there is a strong perfume scent. I am sensitive to smells, so this was a bit bothersome, but the smell eventually went away. Lastly, the cleaning people came into our room, even when we had not checked out yet. It was still 10 AM, and our checkout time was 12 PM.

Excellent breakfast and generally great bar/restaurant attached to the property. Rooms were very comfortable and it was nice to be able to open the door to let in fresh air. Well located in the old part of the city, so it was perfect for getting around.

There was an international football match happening, which meant there were a lot of people in Bilbao that week. Whilst it didn't impact the quality of the stay, the hotel had increased the prices of the rooms to a crazy level (they quoted EUR5k for one night!). This wasn't great for someone that was travelling with work that had nothing to do with the match.

Perfect location - in the old town, at the river, close to metro station Lovely boutique hotel with modern, well-equiped, comfortable rooms - exactly as shown on the pictures The A'la carte breakfast was served at the neighbouring restaurant, it was a super tasty and plentiful start to the day

Modern decor, clean, large room, good size bed, lounge area to work from, quality restaurant. It’s exactly what we needed having to work away and see some city sights.

Smell from restaurant seemed to come into room when the air con was turned off.

Location, location, location! You are in the heart of Bilbao. Is very easy to reach anywhere but also to go back to the hotel to take a nap, get changed, etc. The room was great as well, and we enjoyed the breakfast too. Would 100% recommend! Also, our plane got delayed and we talked to reception to get the digital key for the room, in case we were too late for check in, and they fixed everything within 5 min. We could check in normally, but we really appreciated this. As well, because we came for NYE, the hotel sent us a list of places open to book for dinner, which saved us some time. In general, we are super happy about our stay in Bilbao in Boutique Bilder hotel and we would recommend!
