The staffs were very friendly and helpful. They had apples and hotel-brand candies at the reception desk that are delicious. The room was spacious and comfortable; since I travelled in 3 people, the staffs happily added a sofa bed that was really comfortable. The view from the room was great as well. The location is slight far from the center but there is a tram line close by that take you to the main station. There is also a convenient store next to the hotel with some great options for pastries and other food. The only problem we encountered was the internet connection was pretty unstable; I kept being disconnected while make reservation for my trip. I did tell the staffs, but the issues remained throughout the stay.

Small basin in the bathroom, which was mostly covered by a shelf above it, so it was difficult to use, very awkward to clean teeth, impossible to wash hair in it. Rather pathetic tiny plastic cactuses on the dining tables, for what purpose I do now know.

The locations is perfect if you move with public transports . The parking is a problem. It’s not possible to make a reservation for a parking lot and it’s impossibile to find a space because the hotel o my has a few parking spots. They talk about public parking but it’s only for two hours so you have to constantly move the car or pay a fine tickets of 40CHF. The staff is super friendly, the hotel has everything you might need. Quiet place. The only thing I can say about the room is that the bed is definitely too small for two adults but for one night is good.

The guys at reception were super friendly and helpful at check in and throughout. Really genuine and kind. The balcony overlooking the church was great too and a nice 2km stroll to the lake and Altstadt. Cafes, pubs, supermarket and laundrymat all super close.

Not having Aircon on hot summer days when not used to fans. It's only a small portion of the year that they're needed and it is an old building. I had an agreed check out time of 12pm. The lady who appeared to be the Manager (at check out) called my room six minutes before I was due to check out and spoke in a perceived condescending, passive aggressive manner which was not appropriate.

Affordable, yet scrupulously clean. Cool deco-ish building. Kind staff was able to honor my request for early check-in. Room wasn't big but plenty comfortable. Balcony overlooks the quiet residential street. Cold soft drinks in the fridge and a bottle of chilled beer were all free — amazing! There's also a small automatic coffeemaker in the room that yields well-above-average coffee. There's a taxi stand right in front of the hotel, and a small supermarket next door.

If you're walking, it's a haul from the train station. 25 minutes will seem like an hour because it's almost entirely uphill — no easy task with luggage. Spend 10 Swwss francs on an Uber, you'll be happier. The neighborhood is friendly and inviting-looking up to a point. Few stores, restaurants, or cafés. Not a happening place but I enjoyed it anyway.

Room space was good. They offered a minibar for free. Staff quite friendly and helpful. Location near tram and easy to reach city center.

Breakfast not match hotel stars, very poor choices. Bathing in a tub not quite comfortable. Lack of air conditioner might be a problem if you travel in hot summer. The church bell near hotel rings so many times during the day and once in the morning furiously non stop for 10-15 minutes.

Walked into the lobby and felt so welcomed! The staff is enthusiastic and helpful. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. The free mini bar is definitely a nice surprise! The neighborhood has a great, cozy vibe. We found several good restaurants within walking distance, supermarket, bakery, konditorei, etc. The tram to go to the main train station and to the airport is just steps away. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and has a large selection--cold cuts, smoked salmon, hot items, various rolls, breads, and pastries, yogurts, muesli, cereals, etc.

This is a matter of personal preference, but I don't care for the squeeze bottles of soap and shampoo in the bathroom. Would also prefer a small bar of soap and individual bottles. I understand that this is to save the environment, but they are unwieldy and difficult to use.

Great little hotel, clean and comfortable. The receptionist who checked us in and out was exceptionally kind and accomodating. Wonderful position as well, right across from the tram stop which takes you to and from the airport

The only thing I didn't appreciate was the cleaning staff barging into my room, 30 minutes before scheduled check out time, without knocking. Fortunately I was fully dressed and just working, but it could have been a very uncomfortable situation. This also happened TWICE in the span of 30 minutes.

Good location, close to ETH university. Access to the city center with a tram. The stop is just a few meters down the street. Clean, with all things you meed in the bathroom. A very nice surprise was the minibar. The things inside like water, some beverages, beer, also coffee, tea are free of charge. You pay only if you want a refill. Water and apples at the reception desk.

Staff were so friendly and let us check in 3 hours early. I had told them our stay was for my daughters 12th birthday and they had put a balloon, a birthday card and a heart made of chocolates on the bed in our room - this made it very special for her. The coffee machine in the room was a lovely addition and the free mini bar was an unexpected bonus. The room was quiet and the view from the balcony very nice too. The bathroom was clean and the room was lovely and warm. The breakfast was amazing, lots of smoked salmon, fresh croissants and a lovely tea selection. My daughter loved the white hot chocolate. The hotel is in a great location, just a 5 minute tram ride from the city centre.

Nothing really. It really was the perfect stay. The door to our bathroom would not slide so we couldn't close it but as it was just my daughter and I this did not matter. One recommendation I would have is to put two chairs on the balcony not just one so we could sit out there together.
