The staff were very welcoming, friendly,,checkin was quick and easy .There room was good ,bed very comfortable, our dogs were welcomed ,which was great for us travelling with our pets.
I don’t think you should have to pay for parking as extra charge ,if you are resident in the hotel.

Great price. Food was lovely, ate twice there. Restaurant staff very welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel have a deal on with a local taxi company so able to get to the city for a flat rate of £13. Asked for an extra pillow and was given straight away. The only downside was the cleanliness. Saturday evening I went to reception and told them about some dog poo that was on the 3rd floor landing. I was told it would be sorted. However as we checked out early Sunday morning it was still there and hadn't been cleaned. Although there was that one issue, I would stay again.

Check-in experience was efficient and friendly. Room was of a good standard and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Good to have an opening window. It was nice to have a few items in the fridge and a coffee machine. Breakfast was good with a great choice. Bar staff and breakfast staff were very friendly.
It would have been nice to have had the coffee pods in the room replaced when they were used. Using Ubers to travel into the town and back was begining to get expensive - but I suppose we could have used a bus. Could have had a couple of spare pillows in the room - but as soon as we asked, 2 more were delivered.

Unusual open plan design which worked. The room was quiet and functional. The pillows were a bit on the small side!
Unfortunately, the room cleaner missed dirty glasses and bedside table after the first night. On the second night , there was a nasty and noisy altercation in the room 36 adjoining mine which woke me in the middle of the night. I would suggest that you consider giving advice to your night supervisor. When he knocked on my door shortly after the incident, he advised me that if I didn’t open the door, he would use his master key to gain access. I am 82 years old, on my own, and it’s the middle of the night. He should have used my name at least and why not telephone first? He obviously meant well but I did not like his approach.

Bed was comfy. Room was large, with air con and a decent shower room. Plenty of room to do work, plus the TV was a decent size. Breakfast was varied, with lots of options (though the coffee was rubbish). Food was decent. Uber into town was £9, or there's a bus stop five minutes walk from the hotel.
Having to pay for parking. I think it should have been factored into the price of the room, rather than it being a separate cost. The Reception desk looks like it's some sort of co-working desk, so wasn't immediately obvious when you walk through the door.

Good location, friendly staff, any issue resolved very quickly. We booked a twin room & were given a double bed which the receptionist sorted.
Window in our room was slightly left open unable to close window due to a fault. Needs to be looked into. We were offered a complimentary drink if you filled out a form. My niece filled it and we were not given our drink? I was refused as I already used my email address when I stayed at mecure in Liverpool. I wasn’t offered a drink in Liverpool. I only have the one email address not sure a complimentary drink could have been offered as a nice welcome gesture from the hotel. I have worked in Hospitality.

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel offers a comfortable and well-maintained environment, with clean and modern rooms that meet all the essential needs. The bed was cozy, and the room amenities, including the modern TV, were all in good working condition. The hotel also boasts a decent range of facilities. The on-site restaurant served a good variety of dishes, with a buffet breakfast that offered both hot and cold options. The fitness center, while not expansive, had enough equipment for a decent workout. One of the standout features of the Mercure Cardiff North Hotel was the friendly and attentive staff. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone was courteous and eager to assist. They were extremely accommodating and were quick to address any requests.
One notable downside is the hotel's location. It is situated slightly far from the city center, which means a bit of a commute if you’re looking to explore downtown attractions. While the distance isn’t prohibitive and public transportation is readily available, it’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning to spend a lot of time in the heart of the city.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Mercure Cardiff North for the weekend of the 'SuperHalf' Marathon. The hotel is located north of the city so it was easily accessible from the M4. There is a bus stop located close to the hotel and a full day ticket is only £4.70, for travelling around Cardiff. As well as running the half marathon, I got in a Rugby match at Cardiff Arms Park, a parkrun at Barry Island and a race meeting (horses). The staff are very nice and helpful, I enjoyed both the food and drink on offer and the room was very comfortable. Overall, I was very happy with my stay.
Nothing.
