The hotel was clean and well-kept, and while the rooms were quite small, they were tidy and functional — perfect for a short stay or if you’re mostly out and about. One thing I really missed was having a kettle or coffee/tea setup in the room. It may seem like a small detail, but having to head down to the lobby every time I wanted a cup of tea was inconvenient — especially since the hot water from the vending machine wasn’t actually hot. It made it hard to enjoy even a simple warm drink. That said, the staff were polite and the location was convenient. With a few small improvements, especially in-room amenities, this could be a much more comfortable experience

Tea/coffee kettle in the room and maybe a bottle of water, Siri for foreign tourists.

My partner and I had a very happy and affordable one-night stay a few weeks back . From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, with Maria in particular going above and beyond (Thanks!). The room itself was modern and clean, with a very comfy bed. We found everything we needed right at our fingertips, and there were no complaints whatsoever. Additionally, we were thoroughly impressed by the bar area, which offered a fantastic atmosphere and a great selection of drinks. It provided the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. One unique aspect we appreciated was the option to rent umbrellas, which came in handy during our visit. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with our experience here. The combination of friendly staff, modern amenities, and affordability made for a perfect stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future. Highly recommended!

Hotel in a decent location and fine for our needs.

We were placed in a basement room, which we later found out was located right below the breakfast room. If you are a light sleeper you will be woken by the noise of chairs scraping across the floor above your room, as breakfast begins at the Hotel. This started about 0730 in the morning. It happened on both mornings for the time we stayed. No tea or coffee in the Hotel room itself, but plenty available in the bar area.

The hotel was really easy to find, clean and modern. Really simple to check in and out without any assistance. And I liked the hotel offered free cancellation up to a few days before your stay.

We had a room on floor 0 but we struggled to see any signs telling us how to get to floor 0. The first lift we went in didnot even have a button for floor 0, this concussed us more. One particular male bar staff seemed to have an attitude with his staff and wasn’t too friendly when serving customers. As we were already disappointed with the cancellation of Hogmanay, we decided not to let this member of staff ruin the rest of our night, so we went elsewhere! Following the cancellation of the Hogmanay event, this made the experience feel like an overly expensive stay for just 1 night. I feel the hotel staff missed an opportunity to step up and make us feel happier about our stay at this hotel.

Friendly staff, efficient check in, nice bar, very comfy and clean room with nice TV and shower and lighting

The listing says parking available - this is not correct. There are two parking spaces for the entire hotel, and the Yotel website advises the nearest parking is an NCP car park a few minutes drive away. We ended up being late to our reservation after this. Parking isn’t available!

Location was great, close enough to everything but also far enough away to not be too noisy. Rooms are small but well organized, free coffee machine in the bar.

Shower spills a bit of water out the bottom of the door, no matter how hard you try not to.

Good location, easy check in and great bar. Bed was good how could incline it etc and mood lights around the TV

Rooms quite basic and not good value for money. Would be better if had tea & coffee provided in rooms.

For some reason, I was unable to check out using the self-service computer/iPad, and there were no receptionists at the front desk, I waited for about 5 minutes. When someone finally assisted me, the receptionist was unable to provide a correct official invoice despite my simple request: to include my company name and company email address. He gave me a dismissive / sassy attitude and claimed he couldn’t do it because I had booked the room via Booking.com using a private account. Another receptionist stepped in and tried to help by showing him how to edit the details, but the result was an even worse version of the invoice. This time he typed my first name (not full name) with my company name as my surname! Eventually, I did receive a "decent" invoice (after 2-3 attempts) that might be suitable for expense reimbursement, but the whole check-out process took 20 minutes, and I had to rush to make it to a work appointment.

Receptionist and his attitude!

Very good location for the castle and other tourist attractions. Room was small but adequate for 2, but no chairs or table/desk. One of the best showers I've ever used. There was a communal seating area on ground floor.

There were no chairs or table/desk area. But the room was too compact for these items. There was no coffee/tea faciliies in room. Coffee etc available on ground floor in a communal area. The coffee was not to our taste but that is subjective. Awkward for parking I ended up in an NCP about half a mile away. There may have been other options I didn't see, but the NCP was a good spot for the castle.

Closeness to main attractions. Very good shower facilities. Comfortable bed.

Guests who had no understanding of being quiet late at night and early morning especially with young children running up and down corridor to friends/ relative’s rooms. Shower leaked when using rain fall head- extra bath mats needed. Couldn’t use £8.50 voucher ( for not using housekeeping if staying two nights) for breakfast. The fact Booking.com did not explain on description of Queen rooms that it would be a basement room where you had to keep blind closed due to proximity of pavement outside or the room further up in the building having no window!!!! Thankfully I managed an upgrade so thank you Yotel receptionist 👍
